Thank you for your review! Ugh, the rain... but we need it so badly with our ongoing drought. I'm glad the staff was able to steer you around and that you were able to still enjoy our slice of Paradise.

Stayed here for 35 years ! Across from harbor, great restaurants, walk on the breakwater! It's the best!

Pleasant room and a handy pool for a quick dip before bed. A little Wales from slate street but handy for the beach.

Quiet little place. They had a wine and cheese bar at night, full breakfast in the morning. Wonderful staff, fun to talk with and very informative about the area. Only compliant was the pillows were a little hard to sleep with, my neck was killing me in the morning.

Nice rooms, great location minutes feom the main local stores and restaurants. Heated pool and great jacuzi. Breakfast and happy hour served daily.

Good location. Walking distance to Funk Zone. Beach. And pier. Grounds were very well kept. The pool and hot tub are nice. Only real issue was the super bright patio light that was on all night. We were on third floor and wanted to enjoy patio the whole time.

Spontaneously get a room. Super nice staff. Heated pool. Very clean room. Rooms are being renovated. We already had a new one. So great. I can only recommend it. Right on the beach about 10 minutes walk to downtown.

This place is right on the beach and perfect for a relaxing stay. They have plenty of complimentary amenities including 2 hr bike rentals and an hr paddleboarding or kayaking.

Really friendly staff. Clean, comfortable room. Steps from the beach, just across the street. Prices comparable to nearby, accommodations but this place blows them away. We got the last room available after a last minute decision to stay for the night. We would have given 5 stars but the last room available also had a loud vibration sound in the walls. Turns out, it's right next to the guest bathroom used for the pool guests. The exhaust fan in the bathroom is especially loud. Once the guests stopped using it (11pm), it was quiet and peaceful. We will definitely be back but will book early and request a different room.

The room was nice and the balcony was beautiful. The bathroom was very nice but small. We had a fridge and microwave. The pool was soo nice, you have to sign up to use it, and nobody else was swimming so we had it for as long as we wanted. Close to restaurants and the pier! Front desk staff was great.

This place is awesome. They are so friendly and helpful. The rooms are wonderful. We can recommend choose if you can a room with garden view. The pools are wonderful maintained. You are located directly with view to the harbor and beach. Great breakfast we didn't missed anything. Check in is 4pm so check out is 12pm, which was perfect for us. All in all 10 out of 10points.

Breakfast simple but good

Bed were too firm uncomfortable, breakfast was very limited: toast, bagels, cereal, fruit, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, juice, and coffee. Both the Jacuzzi and pool were heated. Hotel is walking distance to several restaurants and the beach.

Nice place near the beach. Everyone was really nice.

I recommend the garden view with 2 queen beds. It's spacious and there is a little patio to enjoy some drinks. The beds are comfortable but the bathroom is on the small side. Me and my two kids under 11 enjoyed the room, pool and hot tub.

A conveniently located and well-kept tourist hotel. Right on the beach and harbor, close to the city!

This was a nice hotel. The staff were very friendly and we're happy to upgrade me, but it was taken unfortunately. The room was quaint and comfy. The bath was a bit dirty, but nothing to stop me from enjoying the tub. Enjoyed it and would go again.

It's a great place to spend the weekend. Complimentary breakfast and wine is a major perk!

The hotel and rooms are good value for money during weekdays, the weekend rate I'd see as slightly too high.

The rooms are nice and modern. I agree with the comments of others that the bathroom is a bit small. But all in all the rooms are really nice and I would book it again.

The breakfast is ok, nothing special but standard for a hotel like this.

The 1* less is for the seemingly not paying attention to details of some people working there. The breakfast tables are dirty often, you need to ask die refilling of empty things and honestly seems noone cares that the lobby floor needs to be cleaned more often to shine and be pretty. If I was the manager of the Hotel this would be the first things I'd pay attention to.

I will book and recommend this hotel to others anyways - great location at the beach/harbour!

We stayed at the West Beach Inn after being evacuated during the Thomas Fire. We were pleasantly surprised with the discount they were giving to evacuees and the room was great. The staff was top-notch and very accomodating about our unsettled schedule since we had no idea when we could go home. The location is great and we really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast.

Quiant little place across from harbor and beach. Clean, friendly staff. Small pool. Jacuzzi was temporarily closed. Walking distance to restaurants and pier.

Enjoyable coast side hotel. Cozy pool area and close to the harbour and its restaurants as well as the main street (State Street), which is worth a good long walk inland.

Renovated large room, friendly staff, ice cold a/c, few block walk (yet far enough away from) the funk zone.

Great location with easy parking but the hotel is definitely a little dated. Our bed was very squeaky and upon arriving saw a silverfish on the towels.

Comfortable beds, great TV channel selection, including HBO, and the location was great, just in front of the beach. Parking was plentiful, too.

I have never been so discriminated in my life during my stay at the West Inn. My kids were accused of smoking marijuana and making a lot of noise. Me and my husband were disturbed while we we're in our rooms sleeping just to be accused of having loud music and to be told that our kids were smoking marijuana. As my husband opened the door and explained to the manager that we were not making any noise or smoking marijuana the manager said he could hear the music coming from our room but it was my phone ringing because our kids were calling us to let us know that the manager and a security officer were accusing them of smoking marijuana and making noise they didn't ask for a parent and my kids are only 12, 13, 14! They lied about having the pool open and the rooms are nicer in pictures the view is terrible! I will never go back there!!!

A very nice and friendly hotel! We spent 4 days in a bucolic setting and a very generous infrastructure: every evening from 5 to 7, we were offered wine and accompaniments; breakfast is offered as well and parking is free.
To add to all these advantages, the hotel is in front of the beach

This is our 5th hotel on our current trip and the bottom line is that the price was way too high (270$/night on a weekday) for this facility (see pictures of suite 103)...

The complimentary breakfast was pretty poor (boiled eggs, coffee, beagles & some jams).
The location is good but it's by far not the only hotel with this feature.

Night staff was super nice and welcoming.
I guess if the room was cleaner and the bathroom was a little more updated the price would be acceptable.

Great place. Beautiful room. Awesome restaurant with patio. I would go back 100%. Staff is very friendly and took great care of us even though we were there for a night only.

Very clean, comfortable, accommodating and close to beach without all the party party people.

Close to the harbor where there is a small beach. 15 minute walk to downtown. 7 minute walk to Amtrak. Rooms are older, bathroom as well. Amenities are basic. Nothing to rave about. Price to value is low.

Staff was very nice. The hotel itself is clearly older, but they've taken good care of it. The room felt very spacious compared to modern hotels. They have ice machines! The room got super cold too (as we intended). Also, it's literally across the street from the beach. There number of things within walking distance to this place is quite high. I would definitely stay here again.

The entire hotel is embedded in a green area and consists of several smaller buildings.

In front of the lobby building there is a nice pool and jacuzzi. It also has a few tables and chairs so that you can sit outside during the day and in the evening.

The morning meal takes place in the building with the lobby. There is coffee (regular and decaffeinated), toast, butter, confiture, peanut butter, muesli and a little more.

There is no (good) view of the harbor on the ground floor, rooms with a view of the sea / harbor are available on the 1st and 2nd floors. The rooms are clean and the bed was comfortable. The room has a refrigerator, a moderately sized TV, air conditioning (which is usually not necessary if the temperature is still well below 20 degrees Celsius at night even in June). The ice machine was very close to the room on the first floor.

Parking spaces are available behind the buildings (outside).

The beach can be reached on foot in just under 5 minutes from the hotel. There were no parasols and the like on the beach, so no mass processing and not one person on the other.

I only reached the Pear a little more on foot. There are some restaurants and a nice sea view from the very front.

The "shopping and restaurant mile" (State St, Santa Barbara, CA 93101, USA) can also be reached on foot in approx. 15-20 minutes.

Very nice, small hotel - but you should book a room with a garden view. It is not a bargain, however - breakfast and a small cheese / wine buffet in the afternoon are included
WiFi and parking are also included. WiFi works very well

Friendly staff, good coffee all day, free wine from 5-7, comfortable rooms, comfy pool towels, right by the beach and harbor, hot tub!

Bath suite was very spacious and they had a mini fridge, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. The bathroom was very roomy and they had extra towels available for use. The staff was very friendly and they have breakfast and wine and cheese in the evening everyday. The only complaint I had was that the bathroom sink was very tiny.

This is the best place to stay in Santa Barbara! Cost with tons of amenities.

I had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. The location is perfect for a morning walk by the water. All of the amenities were well maintained and clean. There are plenty of food options for ordering in.

The rooms were amazing the staff and the manager were SO beyond helpful and understanding!!! We will definitely be coming back! You guys are amazing thank you so so much

Beach front in santa barbara... Who could ask for more? Oh, me. Can I please get tiny body wash for those rare times I forget mine?

Rm 105 in courtyard: Staff has been awesome. Joseph and Dalton are stellar. No problems there. Free wine, cheese and crackers from 5-7pm. Coffee/tea are available 24/7. Good breakfast.

Room is small but modern which is nice. It's older so the carpet could be shampooed and tile scrubbed. It feels a little dirty and the cracks and crevices could use some attention. When I see those things not being addresssed it makes me wonder about other things...There was also a musty smell in our room. The walls are thin and you hear everything around you. Someone taking a shower in the morning was SO LOUD. Also the sound in the courtyard is very loud so you easily hear people talking in your room at very early and late hours. Doors shutting are also very loud. Ugh! We are on the bottom floor and the sound above us is annoying too. We paid $226 or something around that and it wasn't prime season. I wouldn't even consider coming here in the summer because if you did need to sleep, good luck, people would be coming back late at night, loud, not cool! We are across the street from the beach so I think that is why people gladly pay it but I wish it was WAY CLEANER and quieter! We won't be returning... we are dissapointed because the staff is awesome!!

Great hotel, very kind and attentive staff.
Facing the sea, spacious rooms and very clean. We stayed there for 2 nights and it is the favorite small aperitif (wine, lemonade, cheese, spreadable crackers) available around 17h.

Great hotel! Also very suitable for children. Small but fine breakfast buffet and from 5 p.m. snacks and even wine and sparkling wine by the pool. Rooms are also great with a large bathroom and a view of the sea.

Loved this place. We stayed an extra night because it was so nice.

Very nice and relaxed atmosphere. They offer bicycles, a laundry room, wine and cheese in the evening. The only thing that could improve is breakfast, which is very limited.

The staff was exceptionally helpful, no surprise charges for wifi or parking like the neighboring hotels
