This was my girlfriend and I's first time visiting Wendel's, which is much more the name implies.
The food here was exceptional!!
We both enjoyed the 'Chicken Chili Yam Bowl' like I said before this bowl would give any restaurant a run for their money taste wise!!
The staff were very friendly and efficient.
We will definitely be coming back!!
Got food here during my visit to Fort Langley, we were hungry and was the first place we saw. Glad we went in because the food was delicious and service great even though they were very very busy. We got the gnocchi and the salmon and crushed avocado toast, plus a jar of tiramisu and some muffins. They have great selection for lunch menu and lots of baked goods, desserts, and classic cafe drinks, coffee, frappe, smoothies, etc. Nice place, will come back.
Always enjoy stopping in atcAendals for either a light lunch or tea and sweet treat.
Love to come by myself to read a book or a with a love one out enjoying the day.
Definitely worth a visit especially during the warmer seasons when you can sit out on the patio and just enjoy the buzz of activity around the community.

This place is my go-to restaurant whenever I am in Fort Langley! Been going here for about 6 years and the food and drinks are always delicious. The employees are very friendly and personable. It can be quite busy but it is definitely worth the wait!
I ordered several food & drink items for takeout on behalf of work colleagues & myself. It was obvious there were too many containers for one person to comfortably carry but the server did not even offer a bag. After watching me struggle to balance all the food containers, the server didn't offer me a bag & I had to ask for one. Other customers in front of me had gotten a paper bag for far smaller orders. But instead of a bag, my server gave me a cardboard tray instead for the drinks, saying that was all I needed. There was a lineup behind me, and I had already waited 20 minutes and was only on a half hr lunch break. I didn't have more time to argue with her so tried to carry everything the 2 blocks back to my work. Unfortunately, everything slipped & fell to the ground a half block away. I shouldn't have been so sure that I could carry everything but having a bag would have solved everything. The point is that although the food may be good at Wendel's, it doesn't make up for thoughtless & flippant service.
Definitely a good choice to visit! First of all they are really respecting the rules to protect their customers against Covid (they ask people to follow the health authorities guidelines in a friendly manner). There are also tables provided outside in the patio so you can enjoy the weather and the city vibe as well. There are vegetarian options on the menu and the prices sounds reasonable. Though, I didn't like their coffee much.
I ve been a customer here for a number of years, and it s always been good. The food tastes great and the coffee is fantastic. But I m leaving this review because of my recent visit with my partner. We felt so welcomed by the few staff members we interacted with. The spunky red headed girl on the till was so exuberant and excited to be there even with the chaos of the busy cafe. She made both my partner and I smile and laugh! You could tell she was a professional with moving customers through while also making the experience enjoyable! And the girl with the glasses who brought out our food was so sweet and she was always on top of everything! I m not the type of person to leave a review, but my experience today with the staff was so phenomenal! Please pass along the message to those two beautiful ladies, they are doing an incredible job!
Absolutely loved our lunch here! Enjoyed an iced chai latte and salmon wraps. The food was fresh and healthy. I highly recommend!
