I ordered several food & drink items for takeout on behalf of work colleagues & myself. It was obvious there were too many containers for one person to comfortably carry but the server did not even offer a bag. After watching me struggle to balance all the food containers, the server didn't offer me a bag & I had to ask for one. Other customers in front of me had gotten a paper bag for far smaller orders. But instead of a bag, my server gave me a cardboard tray instead for the drinks, saying that was all I needed. There was a lineup behind me, and I had already waited 20 minutes and was only on a half hr lunch break. I didn't have more time to argue with her so tried to carry everything the 2 blocks back to my work. Unfortunately, everything slipped & fell to the ground a half block away. I shouldn't have been so sure that I could carry everything but having a bag would have solved everything. The point is that although the food may be good at Wendel's, it doesn't make up for thoughtless & flippant service.
