Their dorms are the worst I have seen. Our son lived in the men's dorm for his first year before we transferred him.

Webber is not a normal school. You only have class 1-2 days each week. The rest of the classes are online so you actually don't have to live on campus - because most of the work is online. They don't tell you this though until your parents have dropped you off. Most people end up transferring because the closest place to do anything fun is an hour away, the campus is run down and boring, and the staff are all backwoods people who can't get jobs at other schools. Webber is a waste of money. You are better off going to a community college and then transferring after two years. You will be happier and so will your parent's bank accounts.
Do not waste your money on this school. The classrooms are dingy and outdated. It is a terrible learning environment. Luckily, I never lived on campus because the dorms are a nightmare. You never knew if the ceiling is going to fall down or maybe your dorm room may start flooding. My teammates bathroom was filled with mold because there is no ventilation. The school has maybe 3 great teachers and the others are terrible. Ha, the staff is a joke. No experience in the job field.. And you got a job there! Not sure what I was thinking when I transferred to Webber.
WIU is the lowest ranked college in Florida. I met a representative at a college fair, and it sounded great. It's actually an awful school, with very low test scores and endowment. Most students don't graduate. It's in the middle of nowhere, too! Florida has many good schools, but this is not one of them.
I was planning to go to Webber in Fall 2016. I came on dorm move-in day and was told by Financial Aid that my scholarship wasn't enough to pay for my tuition. They let me and my mom drive 5 hours (after buying stuff for my dorm and getting my family proud of me for getting into school). That's the worst thing to do to a kid. Webber don't care about people. They do bait and switch and caused my family a lot of heart ache. think twice before coming here.
Awesome school, the staff was very helpful and the tutors are very helpful. I didn't get a chance to live on campus or eat in the cafeteria but I very much enjoyed everything else, a truly great experience. I encourage anyone to attend, because my experience at the institution really prepared me for employment!
Gross dorms. Broken concrete in parking lots and sidewalks. Nasty Cafeteria. Boring town. Staff only care about certain kids. Everything is outdated.
A diamond in the rough. Great school, amazing location on the East side of Lake Caloosa (Crooked Lake) with beautiful sunsets.
An interesting place of higher education with an interesting history. 20th century businessman Roger Babson was the founder of the university in 1927 seeking to teach business to students of the time. He created the Gravity Research Foundation in 1948. Thinking that a conductor could be built like a waterwheel for harnessing gravity waves.. He hoped that the invention of a perpetual motion machine would solve the world's dependence on nonrenewable fuels.
Like any University, you get out of it what you put into it. Housing is the 1 weak spot. But plenty of off campus housing, makes it much.better.
