This institution cares nothing about the opinions of its students. I'm not sure why they waste time to do surveys if they just blatantly do not care. Instead of allowing a professor who is certified in teaching online, make her class hybrid for a few weeks, they changed the entire class, stripped it from the professor, and gave us a whole new stranger for the remaining 4 weeks. I'm appalled. Now someone who doesn't know us, or how we do things, is going to be teaching out class and giving us our final grade.

Their Student Records & Accounts Receivable departments are awful. I attended over 8 years ago & apparently have a 'hold' on my account that I was never informed of. Now, I am trying to get my transcripts for graduate school. Was told that the school takes no responsibility for collecting owed debt, that it is the students responsibility. Took them two weeks to return my calls to discuss what the hold was from & I have now paid it. I was told the hold would be lifted after 15 minutes to request transcripts. 45 minutes later, the hold is still there. I called & was told it takes 'up to 24 hours'. It has now been almost 48 hours. When I called this morning to speak with Accounts Receivable, I was informed I needed to call AFTER 9am to speak with someone. I just called again & was told that they do not take calls & I can leave a message, but no guarantee that they will get it 'urgently'.

I would not recommend anyone to go here & good luck to anyone who has to deal with them. Their office/admin staff is extremely rude.

Wayne County Community College District is SO involved in the community! I ve never seen an institution care so deeply for the people that they serve. All of the free events they put on, the Chancellor s Reading Carnival, and Global Conversations just to name a couple, have all been so enriching and eye opening! If you love your community and want to be involved (and aware), this is the place to be! Such wonderful experiences, not to mention 6 campuses to make going to college easy for everyone.
