Poor customer service. I ordered parts from them 3 weeks ago and they never arrived. They told me they would be there in 2 days. No call or email to let me know about a delay or a canceled order. This is after they sent out the wrong part and would not accept a return.

High quality furnace and nice installation. Seems to be a very well built. As long as it lasts I will be happy. Would like to see water furnace enhance the symphony package to include some more of the data for the end user not just the service techs. Would like to have access to refrigerant circuit temps and pressures for trend monitoring.

Our 17 y/o HydroHeat system fails us a couple months ago, we decided to change it with a WaterFurnace 7 series. It's been almost 3 weeks now with our new unit, and it is needless to say the 7 series is a game changer. It is impressive the amount of info the system relies and the ease of access to it thanks to the Aurora weblink. Also, power consumption is a fraction compared with our old unit, 100% Recommend water furnace.

This review for WaterFurnace is for their Service,...

This review for WaterFurnace is for their Service, not for the equipment. We've had no major issues with the equipment, though we've had several service calls over the past 5 yrs. The service calls mostly relate to errors shown on the thermostat screen. The service fees do add up, though. Other than the cost of repeated service calls, the geo system works well.

What has become clear is that Waterfurnace does not stand by the end-user, the consumer. WF stands by its vendors only. All service must be performed by independent licensed vendors, so you are at the mercy of the vendor. Waterfurnace will not supply any labor or contact any vendor on your behalf. The labor fees and any other fees charged by the vendor are all off-limits to WaterFurnace. This means that your service fees are totally unlimited.

Your 10 Year Warranty on Parts & Labor is basically meaningless: You must pay the vendor whatever they demand as relates to diagnostic fees, service fees, travel fees, labor fees. The parts will be free, but they must be obtained and installed by a certified vendor, and the vendor does not have to accept the labor fee set by WaterFurnace. Nor does WF have any input over such misc. fees as listed above (diagnostics, travel, etc.). So, while your warranty may appear to be all-inclusive on the surface, it is actually totally open-ended and favors the vendor.

We had an issue with our WF, and the dealer tried to shake us down for about $500 to deal with a simple repair. A complaint to WF was to no avail. WF said they have no jurisdiction over the fees charged for labor or misc. fees. We ended up paying a $110 diagnostic fee and a $50 travel fee. The $225 "add'l labor" fee was refunded by the vendor. But the vendor then refused to complete the job and we had to seek out a different vendor.

For those interested in geothermal systems, they are reliable. But they are costly. When the vendors choose to take advantage of you in the realm of service, you are losing all the $ savings that you anticipated for your geo system! Geo units will require service. They have sensors and software, etc. Things will go wrong on occasion. You must protect yourself UP FRONT by having a contract with the installer that specifies that the vendor will accept the labor fees allotted by WaterFurnace (or whatever manufacturer you have picked). Also, get IN WRITING any service fees that they may charge: travel, diagnostics, "add'l labor", etc. These various fees are all ways that the vendor will squeeze service dollars from you in the future. Protect yourself UP FRONT by specifying in writing the limitations on all/ any of these fees and service charges. The manufacturer (WaterFurnace, in this case) will not be your friend. The vendor is your only contact point. So, choose carefully.

We had Wallpe Heating and Cooling install a series five Water Furnace coupled to a Lennox air handling furnace. Wallpe did a great job, all of the Wallpe Team members were knowledgeable, highly skilled, hard working and very courteous. Gene Wallpe, the owner personally review what needed to be done and his team did the job right. I would highly recommend this company for anyone needing a geothermal heating / cooling system.

We have only had our new water furnace for a few weeks now, but we can already see the benefits over our older (14 year old) air source heat pump; Warmer air from registers, much quieter (inside & outside the house), practically unlimited hot water, and although it s still early, compared to previous months our usage appears much lower (we are able to view our energy consumption on the stat & through our power company s App). We will need to trend it and compare to last years costs. **Also, Very Pleased with our installer too.
Shout out to Western Hills Heating & Air.
Very professional, including the estimator, installers, drillers, and even the owner & group in their office. I would recommend to anyone. Thank you.

I just had my geothermal system replaced with the ...

I just had my geothermal system replaced with the Waterfurnace series 5 system. The system that was previously in place lasted a poltry 3.5 years before a catastrophic failure occurred. The coaxial coil began leaking freon and the system would continually lock out due to low temp error...LT 1 below 32 degrees for more than 20 seconds. The system was NOT A WATER FURNCE SYSTEM...to be very clear. I had a ten year warranty but to replace the defective component you had to strip out the internal contents( mechanical and electronic). This repair could obviously add additional problems based on the complexity of the repair. Also I couldnt find anyone in the area that serviced and maintained theses systems. To make it short they offered no service and very limited support.

Thanks to a recommendation from a neighbor Wenzel heating & air-conditioning/ geo came to my rescue. They provide an excellent quote and completed in one day. They are now my life long plumging and heating specialist. They are a great representative for you product.

If you're building new or remodeling an existing system, the only way to go is a geothermal water furnace. You are limiting your land footprint; it is 300-500% efficient compare to 90%; it is a renewable resource; does not produce greenhouse gases; it is simple and reliable; increases the value of your home; can supply heat and air conditioning. I could go on and on, but you get the idea.

Their tech service is the best of any company. My contractor can even reach a tech person 24/7. No other HVAC manufacturer offers this.
I have a 7 series that was installed this winter and it is working wonderfully, with no problems. In fact it is outperforming the specs from WaterFurnace.
It is quiet and keeps my house at the set temperature with no variation. I love having all those zones.

Recently purchased a home with a Water Furnace system. Works great for Air conditioning but when it comes to winter... Get ready for an expensive heating bill. We live in Michigan and its costing between $400 - $500 a month to heat 2,500 sq ft home. System cannot keep up on the very cold days of single digit temperatures. Called original installer to fix many issues with it ... and no response or plans to come fix it. Called Water Furnace Territorial rep... spoke with him and he said he would get someone to fix it and look at it - a week later have not heard back from the rep. I would not get this system if you live anywhere in the US where temps will be close to single digits or below.

I called water furnace about the $30k system I had installed in my home. I just had a few simple questions about my thermostat. From the receptionist to the tech, no one was interested in helping me in a courteous fashion. The receptionist was rude and the tech couldn t explain anything at all to me. I gave them 2 stars because I really like our system. The support, however, is a joke.

Very quiet furnace compared to the previous two that we have owned. Really like the features of the new thermostat used to control the unit.

Unit was built and shipped in a relatively short period of time.

I've used Water Furnace products in my home for over thirty years. Very happy with the comfort and no components outside to hear or to be exposed to the elements. My electric bills are very reasonable. Summer is the least expensive.

Why Buy a WaterFurnace Product?

Why Buy a WaterFurnace Product?

WaterFurnace continues to be the best Geo-Thermal system on the market today because of their continuing effort to improve their products,The pride and quality that the build in their products and the customer and dealer support that remains after the installation.
As an HVAC and Geo Thermal Contractor and installer of several brands, I have always prefered WaterFurnace over the rest , because of their performance, reliability and their cutting edge designs and constant development of new products to serve the GeoThermal industry.
If I should ever have a problem I know that I can count on their excellant technical support network and warranty department to get me through the repair pain and stress free, There is nothing more frustrating than to have a problem and have to go through 4 or 5 people to answer a question or to get approval for a warranty repair.
WaterFurnace is by far the leader in the GeoThermal Industry because they value and listen to what their customers and dealers have to say about their products and strive to meet their expectations.
WaterFurnace is truely a representation of the high Quality of American workmanship that has been lost to out-sourcing in the industry.

I'm proud to have the opportunity to sell this product!
