Horrible racist staff . They lied about who was the manager like 3 times . Never again and I want my Refund

Pricey of course but fun... if you plan on going more than 1 time purchase a season pass $60... then you can even stop by just to play in the pool for a few hours if you want. Or drop in to ride a few slides and take a quick dip on a hot day. Water country has grown immensely since it started out in 84ish amazingly so.
Food is pricey but you can bring your own... no glass or alcohol ... life guards are good and i have not seen them goofing off as another described (if you do report it thats serious). As for the rude people another reviewer wrote of.... well they have little control of butt headed customers now do they but they pay for a cop to be there on busy days and Portsmouth police are great if there is a real problem with out of control people or folks with behavioral issues.... after all a water park is meant for families so everything should be rated PG ... so give it another chance its a fun place but if there is a problem tell management ... ;)

overpriced. 25 dollars for preffered parking. food expensive, locker rental expensive, and extremely long lines. staff not friendly. would never go back

Great fun place to go in the summer though it's rather pricey but there's a lot to do here very fun!

Excellent place to go with family. Much fun, and for the cost of entry is not bad. You can bring your own food. The place is huge, if you take small children you have to be careful not to get lost.

I bought some tiket from a company that sells water-country tiket that is already Goldstar and they did not claim them and I had to buy 4 tiket in water country because if not my children stayed if they went to the Parker and now I have to claim those 4 tiket not to lose money

Big place. Not busy on rainy days. Very dirty though. Pools were pretty messy.

Great place to go with family. Personal are very friendly and very helpful. Will recommend. Restrooms are clean and well maintained. Food its on budget. Great job. Guys

Horrible!
Tube theft, horrible employees, and several sex acts witnessed in only 2 hours!
Rent tubes, and everyone steals them. Staff takes your money... and bracelets don't mean a thing. I paid for 3 tubes just to realize you can just walk up to one and take it and use it all day on someone else's dollar. Nobody employed there has knowledge that certain tubes are for paying customers. And they don't care. You pay for everyone else that doesn't want to pay... to have a great time... on you. They won't reimburse for their mistakes and lack of professionalism either
Get in the wave pool... you will see people doing things your babies should not even know about yet.
I witnessed 3 couples doing things that should NOT be done in not only a public place, but with so many children around.
Disgusting!
Lines took at least 20 minutes per slide, food and service is horrible, and don't tell management because they don't care!

Had a great time with my family, only visit once a year due to the cost and family size. (DOWNSIDE: Some of the attractions were not working, some the kids really wanted to go on but were closed. The Wave pool was also closed which is also one of thier favorites, usually would be our main attraction, there are no discounts given, if something doesn't work you just kinda miss out on it and get fussy children. Sucks to pay full price and not be able to enjoy most of what you came for unfortunately.)

Love this place, I've been going since it was built. Fun for the kids and adults!! My only complaint is that too many of the chairs are broken. Pick your chair carefully!!!

This was a horrible experience and EVERYTHING WAS CLOSED! Payed almost 40 for Each ticket for half the rides to be closed SAVE YOUR MONEY GO TO CANOBIE or 6 flags

water country is a decent water park. the purple and black striped waterslide is so overrated. I waited in line for 30 minutes and when I got on the slide, the slide was 5 seconds ,you couldnt see anything, and wasnt even that fast. the blue slide with the steep drop is underrated. even though the slide was 3 seconds, it was my favorite slide because
it was fast but only a few people go on it which is sad. the slides with the tubes that hold up to 4 people were good but the line was a little long. the lazy river wasnt bad. the lifegaurds dont care what you do with the tube or if you even have one but sections of the lazy river were blocked which i didnt like. the dragon slide was good but the lifeguard for the slide was rude to my friends. The wave pool was pretty fun. The water is cold which i hate about the park. also, theres so many seagulls shitting on the floor and trying to steal your food. your better left off of going to canobie lake or six flags new england but water country is still decent

Such an awesome place to be. Lines move quick amd the rides are worth the wait anyway.

Great place to have fun with Friends and family during summer time. I bought my tickets on Groupon and get good discount.

This was my first time and I will never return! I went for my nephews Birthday. Spent alot of money 8 adults and 5 children. Come to find out half the water slides were closed and the kids playground was closed and the river. There was thousands of bees everywhere and my 8 year old neice got stung 3 times. We drove 2 hours got there when they opened and left at 3 because the bees where everywhere. The bathrooms where gross. Waste of money and Rip off!!!

AWFUL! I BROUGHT MY DOG, WHICH IS ALLOWED, AND WHEN I WENT IN THE POOL WITH HIM, HE ATE A CHILD! NOW OF COURSE THE STAFF BLAMED ME FOR THIS, ITS NOT MY FAULT MY DOG SAW SOMEONE'S CHILD AS A HUNGRY SNACK!

Had a great day of fun with my family here. Park is very clean, staff is helpful while not being too overbearing. They let you have fun.

It was soooooooooooooooooooooooo FREAKING FUN!!! The only reason I did 4 stars is because the lines. OMG the lines were so super duper long! Other than that, it was awesome.

I went there before, it was lit. I m going there rn and I m on the highway, I know it s going to be good.

When we entered the park with our season passes (on the passes you can bring a friend for free) the other person in the OTHER LANE said we couldn't use it when we COULD, which they should mind their own business and and pay attention to their own line. On one of the rides, a staff told my friend to put her sunglasses on the neckline of her shirt and ended up loosing them in the pool. We tried to look for them but the lifeguards told us we couldn't and we were pissed. We had to go to someone else and say they were prescription glasses (they were expensive sunglasses anyways) and they went and got them for us, and they were super nice about it. What really pissed my friend off is that the person after her was allowed to have her sunglasses on, and they didn't have a safety strap on them. Another fact; this person was WHITE... and my friend is ASIAN ethnicity. I've never encountered so many rude discriminating people in my life, that sadly includes the staff, and a confusing protocol for what you can and can't do on rides. The food is so overpriced, in my opinion. I'm aware it includes meal/food tax, I'm only fifteen years old and I'm not too familiar with the real world yet, but I've seen cheaper prices at different water parks. It's ridiculous and i can't believe you have to pay for tubes. Ridiculous! But, i can't complain about the rides. They were very fun for me because i stepped out of my comfort zone and they were nice. They looked pretty safe as well, which i really pay attention to that factor when my family wants to go to a water park.

Pay to park...why... isn't $37 for the day enough...long lines...1 hour 15 min. for one ride.....dirty,dirty,dirty!!!!...Sad because a good water park is needed in the area...but this isn't it

This place was so horrible - the line ups were so long and the floor burns. There are hardly any slides and the food service is horrible! Six piece chicken tenders cost almost twenty dollars and the cashiers are so so so ignorant :)

Its really fun and you could bring your family here and its a perfect water park

Great place. Clean. Lines were quick. Plenty of places to sit and bring your own food.

Fun, but not worth the price of admission. Much smaller than I expected for the price. Cleanliness is okay, but not good. Food and drinks are outrageously expensive, but they do let you bring a cooler in. Parking is in a field, and you may need to walk quite a bit depending on your luck. You can get a good parking space for $25 (!) per visit. Highway robbery. Save your money.

This place was so much better back in the 80's when it was in Norwood, Massachusetts. I wish it had never moved!

Went today. First time here ever, and won't be my last. I think we definately lucked out with a midweek day in August...no longer than a 10-15 minute wait on all the rides. Was able to do all rides twice with a long lunch in between. Probably not needed today, but the standard cabana I rented was awesome to have a place to chill and put our stuff off the beaten paths. I can see renting a cabana on busy days to be strongly considered. All the rides were great! Concrete was hot in certain spots, but didn't damper our fun. Brought our own cooler of food, so cant rate the eats here. No complaints! Had a blast.

We have been going to water country every summer for at least 10 years. We have noticed that it seems to be going down hill. Very disappointed about the parks appearance. The kiddie spray pool next to the wave pool was closed and there was trash all around it. The wave pool was packed, shoulder to shoulder and there were seagulls swimming and being fed by people! I know I don t want to swim in seagull poop! That is disgusting and unsanitary. The lazy river is hard to enter and get a tube. The staff do not enforce having people exit the first time around and give up their tube for the next 25 people waiting to enter. Young staff not knowledgeable about rules or a slight repair of the bumper wacker on the Family tube slide that kept messing up and having to be reset by management while we wait in line for an older person to come and reset it. The lines are too long and you spend your day standing in line for about 45 mins. Maybe they should limit the number of people in the park. It s just not the same anymore. :(

It looks like a nice water park but disappointed half the rides were closed. No update on attractions being closed via Facebook or their website. If I wanted to swim in 65* water the beach would have been a much more enjoyable experience. We couldn't even hang out in the pool. After complaining to guests relations I felt like they could care less. In addition, the pools were dirty, bathrooms weren't all functioning or clean.

I absolutely love this place. On black Friday for the past 4 years, I have gotten a season pass for my children and myself. After 2 visits, it pays for itself. I love that my summer fun is already paid for in December. Next, the staff is super friendly and helpful. The place is clean and they work very hard to maintain professionalism at all times. I feel so safe with my children there as all the lifeguards are always watching for potential problems. They are always scanning the area and making certain everyone is safe. I absolutely love this place and am willing to drive an hour to get there. I appreciate the fact that they have such wonderful prices on black Friday for season passes. It makes being a single mom working on a teacher salary much more affordable. Keep doing what you are doing Water Country because you have certainly done right by me!

Always a great time with plenty of lifeguards to keep people safe. It s nice they allow you to bring in your own food.

My brother (15) and I (23) we're in the deeper end of the tidal pool and a wave came up and threw him under. Typical of a wave pool but he couldn't get himself stable so I pushed him to the ladder to get up and out. The lifeguard blew his whistle and told him to get down because the ladder was used for emergencies. In my head it was an emergency because he couldn't breath but the life guard couldn't understand that he needed to get out.

Nice place to take the kids. Lots to do plenty to eat and drink. And kids will have a blast

Consider bringing a gallon of hand sinitizer because the bathrooms are probably the most disgusting restrooms you'll see in your life. There's poop all over the walls and floor, clogged toilets, and used bloody tampons all over the floor. Waited in line for just French fries and nachos and the staff who waited on us were extremely slow and rude. Wicked overpriced. And it smells like urine the minute you walk in there. Totally disappointed.

The lazy river was unorganized. But there were a good range of rides that span over most ages. The food was too expensive. What annoyed me the most was that the park closes at 5. Other parks such as Canobie close at 10. I'm not saying you have to go that late, but at least go to 7 or 8. Also, everything is charged: the parking, tubes, lockers, everything. You have to wait for tubes on most of the rides. Wait times were long because of this. The staff could have definitely been nicer.

Great fun for the whole family, surprised the lines were short and ample close parking. Keep an eye out for Groupon deals to save some $.

Went last summer. It was pretty fun but not as fun as I remember it from my childhood. Most of the day was spent waiting in lines. It gets packed on nice days.

We went there when it was the busiest! The line to the entrance goes all the way to the parking lot! You waste 2 hours of day trying to get in and find a place to sit!

This place was over crowded, and 100% past capacity. The lines for one slide were a one hour wait. The lazy river was so crowded little kids were almost drowning under peoples tubes. The bathrooms were terrifying and the service at the stands were terrible and the people were rude.

This was the worst. Oversold. Over hour long waits for all slides. A riot almost broke out in the lazy river because everyone was so hot. At one point food was in the lazy river. Not a wicked good time. I spend over $200.00 and the only thing we did was the lazy river and the wave pool because that was the only two things you didn't have to wait an hour for. I will never go back it was an unmitigated disaster.

Kids have a blast - but it does get a little crowded.

People working there dont seem like they like their job, rude and disrespectful

Cleaner than it has been in the past, staff is okay. Not very friendly, or helpful in the least. Lots of lifeguards which is necessary, and they seem exceptionally trained and alert. Food is EXTREMELY overpriced. As a season pass holder for years, this will be my final year spending over 200 dollars to go to this park. It's also 5 dollars per day to park if you don't have the season parking pass (which cost 25 dollars). Their costs keep going up with no new attractions (in fact, geronimo is closed until further notice), and last time we were there the Wild Canyon was also closed. Last year they replaced the Pirate ship with one half the size of the prior one. My kids were less than impressed.

The place was very fun but they shut down the rides just for safety because a thunderstorm was passing through. Then my family and I were waiting at the cabana looking at the passing stir the we noticed a formation of almost a tornado and so all of a sudden we hear lifeguards saying get in the bathroom a tornado and so we a ran into the bathroom, but when the rides were shut down everyone left there were a couple of fanilies left but anyways so we stayed there for like 10-15 minutes, it was chilly but the storm passed through. But a little before that the. Girl lifeguards were taking selfies. And wishing to go home. after we got out the bathroom we waited like 5 minutes the park was closing for good. The weather after was sunny,hot, dry. they could have keeper it open it was 4:44 the park closes at 6:30. Then people were mad they wanted a discount or another ticket to come back, the people told us they only give tickets to come back after 3 or 4 that's there policy. A lot of the people live in Rhode island 2 hours away, we went to the New Hampshire one. So we left extra early to sit in a storm and be told the park was closed and the. Life guards were cheering. I enjoyed some of the rides burial if i will go back! It's better going to Water Wizz, six flags and or great wolf lodge. faster lines and better service.

Although the rides were fun the staff was horriable they all seemed extremly passive agressive and to be honest i was not quite sure what any of them were saying because each and everyone spoke in broken english

Went with my dad and we will never go back this place is gross and overcrowded is an understatement, somthing should be done my dad said this place was awesome when he was a kid but it sucked for me

Tickets aren't cheap but no amusement place is. Parking is not free and that bothered me a bit. You can however buy a season pass which would make the cost of these adventure much more worth it, especially if you love the rides and had a lot of fun here. The food they sell however is not worth it at all, not only slow service but cardboard taste for 16 dollars. Not worth it eat in newington or portsmouth before and after much more worth it.
