Washington Pavilion of Arts and Science Review

My kids had a great time there and I end up literally had to drag them out

The Washington Pavilion and its CEO Darrin Smith are non supports of the National Endowment for the Arts. Along in the control of their volunteers my my personal experience. Our guess is the Trump Library will replace the Washington Pavilion in South Dakota.

Fantastic attraction in Sioux Falls! There isn't a week that goes by that my daughter doesn't request to go to the Pavilion, and we enjoy it as well! The events are always entertaining for kids and adults alike, and we enjoy having access to the restaurant in information stands as well.

Lot's of fun. We were supposed to see Radley Rex but no one knew where he was.

The Pavilion is an awesome place for children and adults. Check out the science center for kids 0-middle school and they have a great children's theater series as well.

Had a Blast! Perfect place to take kids with lots of different options! Not only for kids, was pretty interesting to experience.

The science center is the best in the upper midwest!! A must for any young learner.

Would be be better if they made sure that all exhibits worked. Usually overcrowded with large groups. Movies are the only thing that keeps it fresh.

This place is great! The science museum is updated often, the art exhibits rotate as well. The performances they put on are always top notch.

The science center is probably one of the best places in this city for children. They do a great job of changing out the exhibits to keep things fresh. Kids of all ages will find the exhibits and guided activities fun and educational. I highly recommend getting the family pass. It's a great indoor place to go with the family during the cold winter months.

Super helpful staff. We were from out of town. Just looking for something to do. We did the kirby science center and it was seriously the most fun, busy, hands on creative and educational place. We took our toddler and 12 year old. Both had a blast and we were busy for hours. Definitely would recommend. Staff was so great and was constantly cleaning and sharing knowledgeable informative and helping anyway they could. Great prices too. Definitely will be back anytime we are in town!

Great place for a family day. Awesome venue for shows and cool science center.

Our I did had a great time and it was very reasonably priced for the entrance and food. The movie doesn't cost anything extra either

We saw the movie Volcanoes and my grandson loved it! Also had fun visiting the Science Center. That can keep them busy for hours!

Washington Pavilion offers a kid's learning center, art classes, a gallery, theater and the iMax CineDome. There is probably other stuff, depending upon the schedule. It is a great resource for youth.

Great place to spend time, especially on the first Fridays of the month, but bad customer service. I spent twenty minutes on hold three times and was never answered.

The Pavilion has a great variety of shows, very friendly staff and volunteers. Between the musicals they run and the shows the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra puts on there, it is a great place to go.

Beautiful building and a big comfortable theater for events. The science museum is several floors of hands on activities for children.

Sidewalk arts festival. A very well organized and well thought out event.

So many fun things for children to do! 3 floors of great children s activities. Grand kids love it there. Save a lot or money by purchasing a season pass.

The sidewalk art Festival surrounded the Washington Pavilion my wife had her booth in their parking lot. I skipped the porta potties and used their restroom. We're going to musical their in a few days.

Amazingly incredible! Best for the entire family well worth it! Dont forget the dome for a movie!

Lots of nice concerts and very clean I would 100% recommend the Washington pavilion.

Went with my daughter's kindergarten class for a field trip and had a wonderful day!! The day started with a Meerkat movie in the cinedome theater. We then had a little snack before moving on to the Science Center. We took a break for lunch and then a trip around the Art studio, the kids luvd the comic inspired theme!! To end the day and unwind a bit we did some hands on science in a little classroom! The kids and I had a funfilled day packed full of learning(ssshhhh! Dont tell the kids! )

A location that is a family favorite. Great opportunity for learning for all ages. they have solid snack options and a restaurant on site for if you're hungry. my family used to go every once in awhile but now we're members and go all the time. This is truly a great family place in Sioux Falls.

It is always changing exhibitions. I love taking my kids and they always enjoy the day.

I love coming to shows here. The quality of the shows has been amazing. Plus, my kids love coming to the science center.

Lots of leg room ,great view from seats ,and huge variety of entertainment

Parking is confusing so arrive early, a bit confusing on the inside and security did nothing to help send us in the right direction we needed to go to

I don't go there much, but the few times I've been there I've enjoyed it!

This is a great theater and I enjoy attending the shows they bring to Sioux Falls.

This is a wonderful venue with a lot of great kids activities, my son really enjoyed it and we will go back again.

We love our membership, especially when we have family in town during these cold months! Not sure who had more fun at the Science center, the kids or adults!

Clean, fun and educational for kids. We visited the Kirby Science Center. We go back weekly as my kids love it!

The show was wonderful and the theater is beautiful. However, the food at Leonardo Cafe was awful. Nothing was homemade and it was not worth the price. It is overpriced.

Great programs and events throughout the year. Staff and volunteers are wonderful. Definitely one of the highlights of Sioux Falls.

I really like going to the pavilion. It has a lot to offer. And I went to high school there before they changed it.

Lots of fun activities for kids. Family friendly. Elevators, stairs. Place to purchase food. My girls and I loved it !!

I saw The Abrams Brothers with LIVE on STAGE. It was WONDERFUL!

Haven't been there in forever and a day. It was very fun with my grown children. They were like kids in a candy store

We visited the science and a portion of the arts area. My kids were asked by staff to not touch things that were on display in a kids area/exhibit. Unwritten rules made me uncomfortable as a parent.

Great place for the family. Leonardo's cafe inside also has wonderful food.

Great venue... been here twice now and have been very pleased with the access, views from each seat and the pleasantries of the staff.

I love this place. It's become a special treat for my son to visit and learn all kinds of new and interesting things about life, outer space, humanity. I truly wish the hours were a bit better, especially during the winter months when there isn't much to do outside. They also have a lovely little cafe down on the first floor.

This is a great place to bring your family for a fun day out.

The activities are geared to a wide variety of ages, with plenty to keep children from toddlers to teens busy.

Children under 2 are free, and Active Duty Military/Veterans are given discounted admission, but everyone is free on the first Friday of the month.

My only major criticism is their hours, since they only stay open until 5pm most days.

Lots of childhood memories here. It's cheap and it'll entertain you for the afternoon. Look before hand whether they are doing renovations or not. We went on a day when the 3rd floor was completely blocked off.

In my opinion this is one of the best places in Sioux Falls, and certainly the best in DTSF.

Perfect for kids from 2 to 10. We've become members because there's so much to do and the kids love it so much.

They've got loads of fun, interactive exhibits. Drive a real "rover" acoss a model of Mars, build a dam, dig for fossils, race in wheelchairs, and catch a bunch of imax movies.

Perfect, especially in the winter months.

Fun for all ages. Play area for smaller kids. Space center for bigger kids. Cinedome movies to make the right person motion sick. A nice gallery where you can also take kids to a drawing room. All kinds of performances for adults as well.
