A pleasant lunch with colleagues old and new. The ambiance was very nice and pleasant. The server was very attentive and exceptional in what he did. The biscuits/bread were amazing and shared by all it's definitely something that needs to be tried when you are here. Definitely the shrimp and grits was a popular option here and that they looked appealing although I did not have it I had a sandwich instead because I thought it was too much. Cafe mocha and cafe latte what's a pleasant experience with candied sugar on a stick that you can swirl in definitely haven't had this in awhile and a different treat. I had the creme brulee for dessert with glazed banana and cookie on top.

I enjoyed the experience and the plan to be back encourage others to visit

Amazing hotel. 5 star service and food was great. I d come back here and recommend anyone in the Durham area to stay here, also recommend try their dirty martini it was great. Check in was quick and took care of us. Very pleased with our stay, we will be back.

This is the best place to stay in Durham by far. It is actually in between Durham and Chapel Hill. Great rooms, excellent food and drink, awesome golf course.

The Washington Duke is NOT short staffed. The staff was attentive and responsive. My time there was so refreshing.

I've only been there for special occasions. The food and service was good both times. Parking was adequate.

Really negative experience. Booked a suite same-day for a birthday overnight. When I arrived at 2:30, I was told an early check in wasn't an option and my room would be ready around 3. No problem, as that was the check in time.

I left my bag with the desk and had a glass of wine outside. A little after 3, I picked up my bag and went to check in. I was told my room still wasn't ready and wouldn't be until 4-430. At that point I asked them to cancel and left.

The manager on duty, Karen did call and ask what they could do. I explained that check in was at 3, I was only staying one night, and to have to wait an extra 1.5 hours was ridiculous for a room that is $400/night after taxes. She explained that the room wasn't booked until that afternoon, bit did agree that check in was at 3.

If you can't prep a room by check in, don't sell it. Honestly for this price point you're better off at the Umstead or the Fearrington Inn. Not at all what I expected for the cost.

Great place to stay. Very quiet and clean. Staff very pleasant and helpful!

In love with this place. Didn t know I could love a hotel with my whole body and soul. Highlight of the trip. If you stay here, you won t want to leave. I could sit out on the back patio all day and be supremely content. Their restaurant was nice for dinner too.

This was a great find. We will return anytime we are in Durham. The food was great.

Came down for a family emergence and stayed here. We loved it. The food was great. The rooms were very clean,beautiful grounds. We will most definitely stay here again.
