If spending all day in line ups is your idea of a great day out then this is the place for you. Two tier ticket system where some pay extra so others wait longer only exacerbates the problem. Expect 30 to 60 minute waits for 3 minute rides. Another problem is allowing everyone in at 0930 only to have people standing about till 10when things actually open. This also only adds to the extensive queuing delays. Definitely not value for money.
Definitely won't be back.
Great service, great place, though a little quiet for obvious reasons with travel restrictions.
White Christmas :- the decorations - lights - costumes were pretty good.. but the rest of it was boring.. been & done it but wont do it again..
Apart from the usual shows, they have special events like Fright Night and X-mas shows - always worth a visit.
beautiful place . Very suitable for small children. Another experience apart from facilities
Came here with my wife and daughter during our Gold Coast holiday and found it to be very entertaining. Spent half the day at movie world and I think me and my wife had more fun then our daughter. I recommend buying the VIP stunt car show access as it gives you exclusive access. You get to meet the drivers, have photos taken and also they take you for a drift lap in the stunt cars!
This place was AMAAAZING!!!!! I went on the Stunt Car Thing. It was so FUN!! But, the wild west area of Movie World was closed. But anyway I rate this place 5/5 stars. THIS IS THE FUNNEST PLACE ON EARTH. P.S., I got to be the Movie world prince, and my sister got to be the princess, we got driven around in a car. And everyone was taking photos and waving at us and clapping. SO FUUN!!!!!!!
Super heros world . A bit less in count in no of rides
Kids loved it although super expensive food, We wont be going to the burger place as we didnt like the food
Awesome I crapped my pants on half the rides and the stunt driver show was pretty good
Shane a lot of rides were closed. But, it was still an amazing, thrilling day!
Very very disappointed- planned a week on the goldcoast as you advertised you were open. Why are you charging full price when only 2 rides were operating???????? Your staff are saying closed due to maintenance?? Why wouldnt you have done this when you were closed???? I feel that i have been totally ripped off,i spent $800 of my hard earned money to visit your parks and enjoy with my family and have come home feeling very upset and angry.
What can I say... it is a theme park... place for fun... DC Rivals Hypercoaster is a must ride.
Superman rollercoaster is the best ride followed closely by DC Rivals Hypercoaster and Scooby Doo coaster
Great place for having fun
Note : dont missed their afternoon parade
Absolutely loved it! So much to do and see! Definitely worth taking more than a one day pass, so many things we wanted to experience again and again
Updated to to character for the now rides were friggin scarry but I must be getting too old for that now
Lots of thrill rides and fun to be had. Professional staff and safety is first
I was abit disappointed about the novelty characters around the place...well lack of... and I'll give thumbs up to the guy doing the joker at the moment as he brings the character to life really well without being too scary for kids. But there is no bugs bunny walking down the streets throughout the day, no twenty, Sylvester, Yosemite Sam etc. The only ones I saw were joker and shaggy & scooby and you only see any other characters at the 3pm parade which I've displayed pictures of. Movie world needs to do what Disney land does and bring their characters to life, not just be there for pictures but actually play their characters . Besides that long rant, the rides are good but the wait times to get on a ride while with kids is horrendously you wait to get on every ride you spend 4 hours just waiting in lines instead of time spent enjoying the day
I love movieworld Soo much it's always an incredible experience
Live your life like a movie, except that you are the director of it.

Abit disappointing this year, I been to white Christmas twice in the past and I went last night and it seemed abit dry. The Christmas Parade was very short, normally the parade is longer etc but this year it seemed rushed. Here is abit of an advice: Do NOT do an event if you cannot be bothered to put more effort into it.
It was a great day out spent with family and friends loved the Superman ride as it is very quick and the doomsday ride certainly get your heart racing can't wait to do it again with the season pass I have my daughter loved it too
I currently have 1 a one year pass and honestly I think that its a decent theme park. If you didn't have to pay for fast track or character photos it would be perfect even if food isn't that great.
Awesome day out. Great rides and attractions. Food is very expensive though.
Great day at Movie world! The rides are amazing, same with the stunt driving show. Made for a great day out.
Bit busy even just after school holidays, but that didnt stop us having fun.
One of the best theme parks in Australia and can see the park changing, and modernising. Their new superhero section has some fun new interactive sideshows and are a bit of fun! Good variety of rides, something for all ages!
My advice is do not compare Movie World to other theme parks like Disneyland and Universal Studios as they are in a league of their own and you will only be disappointed.
First time at the park today. Being a SoCal native (grew up 10 KMs) from Disneyland), I expected it to be bigger. They definitely pack a lot into the space, though. The kids area is nice and large, and the restaurant area was spacious and not crowded. The place as a whole seemed under-staffed, though, and some areas not well thought out. I almost saw a right break out heading into the LEGO Movie theatre when a pushy parent physically separated a young boy from his father as he pushed through the doors. The lack of organised lines to get into the seating section meant that it was every man for himself to get though the doors. Add that to the outdated seat-movement technology which almost gave me whiplash, and low sound levels in that show, and that made the only negative experience for me today. My family bought annual passes, though, so hopefully that was a one-off and I won't witness that sort of thing in the future
Great rides. Kid friendly. Food is a bit pricy, but then again, the food is great. I recommend the wild west ride, the green lantern ride, and the stunt show. What I'm not so sure about though, is that the front of the park gives it more of a DC feel then WB. They should add some more rides from other WB movies. Overall I loved the experience and am going back to see it again in a week from now.
A visit is not really worth it. We were very disappointed as many roller coasters were not in operation. However, you pay the full entrance fee. According to TripAdvisor reviews not an isolated case! Apparently, roller coasters often remain closed.
Really cool roller coasters but pricey food and stuff. Pretty clean toilets for that kind of establishment though
To noisy as it was had to talk and my youngest cried nearly the whole time
It has been a long time since i have been to movie world and it had changed a lot. Gone are all the movie related attractions and they have been replaced by cartoon and comic themed rides. The lines were not too bad most of the day. The food was quite overpriced but the clothing was actually quite reasonable which was weird. The roaming superheroes and villains were very happy to pose for photos.
Waste of money, rides were great if you wanted to wait approx 1 hour each ride , got there at 9:30am left at 4:30pm and kids still hadn't got to go on all rides. Food expensive
and not enough tables to eat at any way. The only good thing was the refill cups and the friendly staff. Will not recommend this place to anyone and definitely won't be back.
A fun place for all the family. Must do if you're in the gold coast.
Good food (expensive), great mini-fights on main street and awesome rides!
Fantastic Fun for all family big and small, buy a yearly pass for all four parks online the cheapest and you can go to 4parks for 365day's.
Roller Coasters Super the rest same as years ago. No new inventions at all.
Too many attractions closed for maintenance. Bit of a disappointment as a result.
Heaps of rides for little kids, big kids, adults, stunt show, food & drink shops, coffee shops, lolly shops, gift shops, food vans. Clean toilets. 3D movies. Main street parade of Disney Characters. Aqua Man movie sets + clothes they wore + scenes of how the movie was made. Plus lots more I probably have forgotten.
Great for DC fans but the roller costers are quite easy...
The few rides that were opened were fun. But in terms of value it was hardly worth it. At least 3 of the main rides were closed. I don t know if this was intentional to artificially increase wait times on the rides that were open but it s hard to understand why they would close nearly half of the main attractions at the same times. Spent a lot of time waiting round which the cynic in me thinks is to cause you to be bored enough to go and spend money In the shops because the alternative is to wait an hour for 1 of the 3-4 rides that were operating.
I probably wouldn't go to this park again.
I had a great time especially this list of rides batman drop the roadrunner roller coaster and the bird cages
Warner Brothers Movie World what a fantastic place to see a whole heap of characters and spend too much money please like my post and photos
Fun place to go to with friends and family.
My first ever rollercoaster ride was the DC Rival Hypercoaster and that was such a big mistake for a first timer. Adrenaline junkies would love it!
Unfortunately due to the time I went there was not many shows on.
Great atmosphere however there are very few rides for people who like attractions that are in between thrilling and quite tame. Food and merch are also quite expensive, meaning you could end up having to carry around food with you as well as not be able to bring anything home to remember the time.
Way too crowded, too much time spent on lines for the rides.
Worth the money spent, hypercoster was insane best ride ever!!
First time going and loved it. Staff are friendly and helpful. Best rollercoasters in Australia
Having trouble selecting which theme park to visit? THIS ONE IS THE BEST!! From the moment you step foot through the infamous Warner Bros Movie World Archway you are literally in another world. There is not a thing I could fault about this park, from the way it's presented through to the park layout, ride selection, live entertainment, ride theming and staff costumes right down to the vast array of food and souvenir shops on offer...this is THE place to be on the Gold Coast.
We have had the pleasure of experiencing the All Stars Tour for 2 years running now, and it is hands down the BEST way to experience Movie World. Imagine the park being open to ONLY you and several other park guests on a Saturday morning, no one else is even allowed in for 2 hours solid, and even once it does open you still have VIP access to the shows, parades, and plenty of behind-the-scenes areas that some staff don't even get to experience! Breakfast was provided, exclusive photo opportunities, coffees water and snacks, a coaster walk (amaaaazing views and makes for a wonderful photo to take home) and seeing how certain rides operate and then Lunch! Finally we were left with a wee goodie bag, a locker hire, a free VR ride on Arkham Asylum and RIDE PHOTOS & FAST TRACK for the rest of the day...the value of this packaged deal is simply unbeatable, and it is quite simply put the ONE thing you MUST do whilst on the Gold Coast.
Whether it be on your own, as a couple or a family there is not one reason why you shouldn't experience the All Stars Tour at least once, heck we are going back a 3rd time it was that much fun!
From the kids area through to the 4D show, and of course the thrill rides such as Arkham Asylum, Superman and of course....DC Rivals Hypercoaster this park has it ALL...and do yourself a favour, ride backwards at least once!
We LOVE you Movie World, and we miss you already...and thank you to all your staff, they helped make it memorable x
We loooved it alot of challenging rides, you can meet all your characters like Scoopy doo...alot of souvenirs shops, ice cream and alot more
Loved the fact that they have a section for little kids variety of rides even small spalsh fountains (bring a spare cloth for the kids). It is a park for everyone.
Everyone is friendly there too
Alot of benches to sit whenever tired. We had one the best time as a family; both my 5 years old and 10 years old had a happy time.
You can't come to Gold coast and not visit Warner Bros movie world.
Let the inner child out
Bit disappointed from an older persons view point , rides great for younger gen but too many shops after every dollar they can extract from you , more characters photo ops and few less daunting rides would have been good , stunt show was the highlight . over all good but if paid top dollar not in package I would pass at my age . great for teens
Cause its movie world.
Characters are well played, staff are extremely delightful to talk to.
Firstly the park closes at 5 PM which is very strange in the world of theme parks. We went on 3 December and many parts of the park were cordoned off and not operational. We were told it was due to the park preparing for White Christmas which commenced on 6 December. Whatever!! The rides we did get to try were tired, uninspiring and frustrating with long lines. Alien Invasion ride is a total joke. Bathrooms were grubby and staff were disinterested to say the least. All souveneirs, food and drinks were ridiculously expensive with a family deal setting us back $58. The stunt driving show is painfully repetitive and caters only to bogons. Seriously, give it a miss!!
Queues were too long for all rides and Rick's cafe was below average.
Always great to come here and enjoy a day with kids... Big kids (ME) and small kids
Fantastic theam park very entertaining all the staff are really nice.
Wonderful place to go for the day, great for all ages. Would recommend spending at least two days there as there a lot of things to see and do apart from going on rides.
You can spend a whole day here. All kinds of different activities for adults and kids. Interesting and friendly staff. Don t miss the performance on the main avenue from time to time
I don't get the Hype about this place, been there with grand children, once you see the movie characters and the minimal rides for children it is over. Geared more for children age 12 and up as far as rides go. The shops for memorabilia are so expensive. Good day out not in a hurry to go back.
Fun, fun, fun! It felt like I was transported to the world of superheroes and villians. The random appearance and performances of Marilyn Monroe, Batman and joker were so cool. Your favourite Looney tunes characters are also around for the kids to take photos with. And don't forget the stunt show! An absolute must watch.
The roller coaster is good and short waiting line, but the park is a bit small.
Few rides are really thirlling. Good park for outing.
My kids really enjoyed the play area by the sea. You can enjoy too. There is a food place too
Yes it is busy but to not have all carriages running on rollercoaster from start of day is ridiculus.
No shade, no water to drink, people leaving que after waiting over an hour is a waste of the day.
Still waiting and it has been over an hour and a half with no sight of front line.
Amazing. Great for bigger and taller kids but not small skinny and short kids. My son is 8 and does not fit the criteria for alot of rides.
But for older kids and adults it is amazing
Have been there quite a few times. It's fun as always, however, It's getting a bit old, it would be nice to have a few new rides.
Always fun. Unfortunately Fright night is not as scary anymore.
