Wantagh Bagels Review

Go somewhere else! Bagels are tasteless and stale and they raised their prices to almost double!!

Service with a smile, great bagels, try a toasted biali with butter...

For the last few weeks I have stopped in to grab a bagel or a croissant, breakfast sandwich, and even a "Wantagh Warrior" as they call it. The food has been great! The crumb cake is to die for as well! Great coffee selection too! I definitely recommend stopping by. Thank you Wantagh Bagels!

Prior to the pandemic the staff were all welcoming and friendly. They knew the regulars and were greeted by name. Unfortunately there is almost all new staff and especially the guys with the exception of Nick (not sure if he is even still there) are abrupt and downright rude. They never greet customers with a hello. I always leave at least a dollar in the tip bucket and they don't even say thanks. Especially a guy I believe named Jason always insists on ringing up every order even if he is not preparing your order. Today got a bagel from him with virtually no cream cheese on one side

10/26 tried to give them another shot. I asked for chicken cutlet sandwich. Server advised they are told to put one slice of cheese per sandwich. I advised that was never the case before and would not accept. She replied "It's not my store doesn't matter" Paid for and got home she put two slices. And a single thin cutlet that covered maybe 40% of the bagel. DONE WITH THIS PLACE. NO RESPECT OR APPRECIATION FOR CUSTOMERS.

Since new owner took over service is quick, helpful, and always correct. They are always friendly!!!

Past few times I have gone, I have received incorrect orders and dealt with a rude staff. Used to be a 5 star bagel shop for the past 10 years in my eyes. Sadly will be taking my business elsewhere!

Ordered vegg cream cheese on a plan bagel. They gave me plan cream cheese. No biggie they corrected it. Get home only to see half the bagel had cream cheese the other half had none. I mean zero cream cheese. Also the place seemed dirty and the coffee was gross. I ended up going back out to another place that got my order correct. Never going back. Good luck staying open.

By 9am they don't have any of the popular choice bagels. Has happened on atleast 3 different occasions. Go somewhere else.

The best bagel in town . Best crumb cake and great customer service.
