Such an amazing experience. See a play here every December and I am NEVER disappointed! Highly recommend.

Dreadful play - woman of no importance. Well, the acting was adequate even a brilliant actor could not save this play, tortured pans, long monologues and pointless scenes completely overshadowed a few funny jokes and a couple of better then average performances.
Add to that a horribly overpriced concessions and you get a totally wasted evening.

Always good supporting my brothers and sisters in the arts.

A Comedy of Tenors was a delight from start to finish.

It's the oldest theater in the U.S. Comfortable seats and a great view from the right orchestra section. We saw a comedy play that was outstanding! The actors were quite talented, and I'll definitely go back to see another show.

My GRANDMOTHER ! WHO WAS ONE OF MY VERY BEST FRIENDS, just passed away last night. Called just moments ago to reschedule tonight's tickets. R.J CHARGED us a fee! . Because there is no accommodations for a death in the family. After being repeat members. This is disgraceful. I don't think we will continue our membership after this season. Grief-stricken and upset beyond compair!

We are season ticket holders. We love this place. The actors and actresses are always amazing. The musical talent and singing is wonderful and we have seen so many different types of shows here... Comedies, whodunnits, serious-type plays and of course musicals. The last one, Annie, we had brought our 4 yr old to see and she loved it too. The quality of talent at the WST is unmatched. Highly recommend.

Great place to see a show. Every seat is a good seat overall if money is a limitation. Saw Annie last year and was able to get a picture with "Annie" after the show luckily.

My wife and I saw it last night. 11/10!! Broadway quality in Philadelphia!!! Best performance at Walnut hands down in the 4 years I have held season tickets!!! Don t miss this one folks!!!

The show was awesome! Downside: extremely small seats. If you're tall you definitely will be uncomfortable.

They are priced like broadway but they are more off broadway than on

They don't do anything ground breaking or even interesting but they do pay their actors and techs well.

Enjoyed a great production of "Legally Blonde." The cast was wonderful, the choreography excellent and the show itself very entertaining. What made this light-hearted show even better was the blend of a happy playfulness mixed with a serious point about personal dignity and determination. The actors and actresses made it even more enjoyable through their obvious talent and the enjoyment eminating from the stage. It was just so much fun to watch!

Show was good. Parked in lot next to theater...horrible, horrible, horrible...overpriced, mismanaged, almost bad enough to not want to return to theater. The fact that this lot has the name of the theatre on the wall adjoining, is sad.

Nice Local Theater That Delivered a Good Night Out

Stayed over in Philadelphia with my wife and made plans to finally catch a play at the Walnut. We had a thorougly good evening. The Walnut is a charming, historical theater that provides every audience member a great view. We were 10th row left orchestra and the cast audience interaction made us feel like we were part of the show. A nice preshow pub in the basement offers up a place for a drink and casual conversation. End to end it was a very good experience.

Love the Walnut Street Theater. Many parking options very close by, several areas to grab a quick snack or dinner before the show. The plays offer many options in seating and pricing. We did the group of shows a couple of years but w a busy schedule it's hard to fit it in sometimes so we do at least 1 a year which is always very good! Most recently saw Irving Berlins Holiday Inn which was Awesome! The Theater itself is beautiful and the seats are quite spacious for an older theater. The view from just about every seat is wonderful. I would highly recommend a visit to this theater!

Intimate theater, dating back to the early 19th century, this theater features Boradway shows and other classic theater pieces.

Great production and theatre doesn't have a bad seat.

Plays are usually musicals by well known playwrights. Theater is rather Spartan but cozy. All seats have a clear view of stage. Have been upstairs and down and this is true of both areas. Chairs are adequate. I have a season subscription and generally enjoy the plays a lot.

Great show, Goosebumps. Seats are a little tight for adults.

Saw a Christmas Carol, it was really good. Short but good. Theatre is beautiful and so well proced.

Fantastic shows at a great price, not a bad seat in the theater

It is an amazing, little intimate theater. Had a great time seeing the musical of Flat Stanley today. Seats were extremely comfy, even for a large adult like myself. No seat there is a bad seat, great views from every one of them. Really enjoyed seeing the photos from previous shows on the walls showing stars from days past that have graced the stage. Venturing upstairs for our seats in the mezzanine we re greeted by head shots of every former member of the performing group.

'Young Frankenstein" is very energetic and entertaining.. Theater seats are still too cramped.

The productions at the Walnut Street Theatre are outstanding. They put on near Broadway quality productions with affordable ticket prices.

Stage production "A Comedy of Tenors" was an excellent show; never stopped laughing. Fast moving show. Seats don't leave much space for legs/feet if you are taller than 5 foot however.

Just such an amazing place...a must see and the oldest theater in US . And Monday night is Groucho a one man special performance and it's terrific!

Watched the Walnut Street Theatre's production of Annie. The show was excellent the acting and singing were superb. Only four stars because of the seating. The seat rows are very close together. My knees touched the seats in front of me and I am only five foot eight inches tall. That being said I would go again to catch another show there.

Shrek the Musical was outstanding. Each voice was better than the last.

I enjoyed the Sunday matinee and would recommend coming here for plays. My brother was in it, but it was very enjoyable! Looking for something to do Sunday afternoon, try it!!

Mever been disappointed with thevoldest continuously running theater in the USA.

Saw Young Frankenstein tonight. Great show, the comedy was awesome. Actors and Actresses were also amazing. I loved the light and prop displays. Also in enjoy how they used the whole theater as there stage. Only reason I'm giving them a 4 star is the seating. You have no leg space. Thank goodness no one was sitting next to me so I could stretch out. Also didn't have anything really nice in the gift shop. But I would go back to see other show! Graet performance!
