Awesome place to work. If you do your job like you're paid to do they take care of you.
I love getting home every day (outside of crazy road issues) and they make sure their local drivers do. I was here 5-7 years ago on a local gig and I was out 2 to 3 days a week. Tonight is the first time I've been stuck out on the road (was ran over by a yard dog) and it was actually my idea to let me stick out here for my reset so 2 other drivers didn't have to suffer trying to shuffle me back lol crazy right?
Good place to work. Family owned. Good people. Dee's the best.
I tryed to get on with this company and was told no. But they will hire someone who put transmission fluid in the gas tank and oil in the radiator. And till the consumers to shut up and till them that she will leave there trl on the side of the road.so if u are a bad employee this company will hire u they only take drivers who dont care about there equipment and the loads
This is a unique trucking company. That can be good and bad. They don t pay very well. 45 cent per mile. No safety bonus. There benefits are not good. They do have a few dedicated routes that I got on but it was only 1600 miles then I by the time I left that was all I was getting. They will cheat you of a 10% of miles. The safety dept was very competent probably one of the best I ve seen anywhere and equipment was usually new. The dispatchers were mostly nice. The rest of the upper management seemed to be very elitist. You will never see them. I was at the terminal at least twice a week and never met the owner. They had lost several major contracts last year because a competitor managed to squeeze their way between this company and the customer they had been dealing with for decades. That competitor lets just call them XPO really did some dirty unethical things to muscle this company out. The problem was Waller just didn t seem like going out and getting more business. They just let drivers, that had been there years, have their mileage cut back so much they had to quit. That was my case I just couldn t stay around for 1600 miles week
Losing business didn t slow them down in their recruiting and to show you how little they cares about their drivers they had a team of people in place to recruit and do orientations every week and I would bet they they were hiring 200 to 300 people per year and only had a little over 100 trucks That was the reason I left.
Overall I would say below average company that has some really great people in dispatching and safety. The owners , however
Have forgotten the people that made them rich which is truck drivers. Also they advertise pet friendly but they have the highest pet deposit I have ever heard of on this planet.Pet Deposit was 1500.00 (no that's not a typo) 1500.00
Their health insurance is a scam. When I worked their the insurance company ran out of money and charged me $167,000 for my daughters birth. Their new insurance company finds every reason to charge you back for simple Dr's visits. Don't be fooled. The premiums are high, you will be paying a lot, and not getting covered. Spouses are not covered and putting children on costs most of your salary. I'd turn away until they start acting like a family company.
Great transition to becoming a driver for Waller. Everyone who I came in contact with was more than helpful. From Tim in Saftey to miss D and Rhonda in dispatching, all have been a more than great to me!
