I have been a patient at Wake Internal Medicne and since 1972. I have always received outstanding medical care as has every member of my family. This is by far the best medical practice in Raleigh. I am very fortunate to have Dr. Heestand as my physician. I receive excellent care and follow up for all my medical needs. I have peace of mind knowing that I have such a knowledgeable and proactive doctor. She is very empathetic, and really takes the time to listen to her patients. She is the best!

I ve been a patient of Jessica s for years and she always listens to my concerns, treats me with dignity & respect and takes time to make sure I understand my plan of care. Jennifer is kind and always communicates timely and effectively. Making appointments is easy, the staff who help with checking in & out are always friendly, definitely the best lab techs around and they have an urgent care for after hours.

The experience with the physician was wonderful. Highly suggest not scheduling an appointment around lunch time. Their check-in and check-out staff do not seem to be able to adequately cross cover the responsibilities of both positions so I was left having to do a lot of follow up because I wasn t checked in and out properly due to the resourcing at the front desk.

Dr Hughes is awesome! She gives you plenty of time and her complete attention. Always available to answer questions or concerns. She is one of the best doctors I ve ever seen in my adult life.

I love seeing Angie's beautiful smile when I first walk in the office. I never have a long wait to see the Doctor. I have been a patient of Dr Carlson's since the mid 1990's!!!! My husband also is a patient of his and he will not go to a different doctor. I absolutely love, love Dr Carlson He takes his time with you and really cares about his patients. He is the greatest!!

I really can't say enough good things about Wake Internal Medicine. Everyone, from the time you check in, to your after visit check out are very accommodating. Each step is explained during the way and when you leave you have the information in hand about your appointment and any instructions. I know most offices do this to a certain extend but when you add "friendliness" to it, just seems better.
Now, I would be remiss if I did not specifically mention Matt Schwanke, PA. He is great. He always listens to me. I have never had the feeling of him being rushed. I'm sure he is but he looks at you and addresses each concern you may have. It doesn't matter what I throw at him, he has background knowledge and speaks to me at my level of understanding. Love the guy.

Great experience, and I haven t often had those when dealing with doctors lately. Front office staff was helpful and I was seen almost immediately after finalizing my initial visit paperwork. Doctor Carlson was awesome - makes you feel like you ve known him for years and is super responsive to any questions or concerns you may have on any subject.

My provider at Wake Internal Medical is thorough, knowledgeable, caring, never rushed, called me personally to discuss my lab results and concerns. I ve been with my provider for over a decade and have been very happy and impressed. They also have imaging and lab facilities onsite. Yesterday they were able to arrange a doppler ultrasound to check for the possibility of blood clot right there during my appointment and received the results shortly after.

The person centered care here is amazing! I never felt the need for a primary care Doctor. For I did not have a lot of health problems. However after being referred by a friend to this place, I can appreciate the want and need for person centered care. The Doctors here listen to you and you don t feel like your bothering them.

Everyone was both pleasant and helpful. Dr. Flesher did a thorough exam and ordered appropriate tests to figure out what is going on with my symptoms. I hope to find out soon.
I was concerned when I reported symptoms of a possible UTI. A urinalysis was done but a day later there has been no lab report or suggestions for symptom relief. When I was younger, possible UTI (with all its misery) got quick attention . Especially because the lab work is so simple.
Otherwise, very pleased so far.
