Interesting space. Great sculptures and set work through out. Good place for brunch.

I visit the Pah Homestead often and each time I am blown away by the diversity of art on display. Both inside and out there is a tantalizing aray of exhibits which changes on a regular basis. The licensed l cafe offers a range of light food which is well priced and adequate and the adjacent park is stunning. Certainly well worth a visit.

Lovely backdrop for a gallery. Cafe on site but didnt try it. Good parking. Not busy at 2pm on a Saturday. Take your walki g shoes and go for a walk. Lovely views over Manukau harbour. Bathrooms clean and plenty. Enjoyed my first visit here.

Interesting modern art collection and a good cafe with lovely seating on the veranda looking over the sculpture garden.

Beautiful historic homestead, interesting collections

The gallery and grounds are gorgeous. The offering in the cafe is not extensive but what is on offer is good. I overheard staff telling another customer that renovations are taking place February 2016.

We hired the homestead for our 20th wedding anniversary and the service and food was fantastic. So welcoming and obliging.
We have been here on previous occasions for coffee and lunch and it is one of Aucklands hidden treasures.

The cafe was very disappointing in most regards (food, systems, service). If it wasn't for the great location and the associated potential it would have been a joke. A new owner that has just started they have a long way to go.....good luck to them.

Great building, cafe, grounds and people. The art... not so much but but I guess I have old fashioned tastes. Well worth a visit.

This place was donated by a white man to the people of New Zealand. It covers an area of 6 square kilometers. The beautiful courtyard makes you linger!

Really cool sculptures in their outdoor garden and really interesting paintings inside. They have this really cool 3D projection upstairs it's amazing

One of the gallery staff members barged through the frontdoor well aware that my toddler was walking through, pushing her aside and nearly jamming her fingers in the hinge. It was surreal. In what world is that an acceptable thing to do? Get better staff.

Lovely rustic spot with evocative art and majestic scenery

Such a great place to visit with a toddler. Our daughter loved looking at one of the current exhibitions, exploring the building and looking at the sculpture garden. There are also park-like gardens for them to run around in and outdoor seats at the cafe so you can let them loose for a bit while you eat.

Great place to check out. Good exibisions, interesting heritage house and a nice cafe

The worst ice chocolate I have ever had,
No icecream no cream and two ice blocks and tasted like cold milo. I reccomend not to get the ice chocolate, but the art there and garden is nice

Nice little art gallery at the top of the Monte Cecilia park.

Wow haven't been here for a.bout 4 years, Banksie opened this renovated place in August 2010. Had to take a pic of the awesome lavatory & me next to Terry Stringer's 1984 Tongan Boy up on the landing.

Amazing art gallery in a very nicely restored homestead with an interesting history. The surrounding parkland is stunning

Such a beautiful setting and building. Take your time and com enjoy the art, cafe and nature surrounding this beautiful heritage building. It takes you back into another time and era.

This is a lovely historic place to visit. The tearooms are gorgeous with lots of lovely cakes. There is artwork exhibitions in the building and the garden area has sculptures. Take your Mum here. She will love it.

nice food and coffee..not much to do there..not cheap

Last night I was at the Pah Homestead for the last of the winter 'Dinner Crowds. For $85.00 pp I was expecting something very special, how wrong was I. We were given a glass of mulled wine on arrival, and after waiting for ages were given sourdough bread with house butter Soon after that the fire alarm went off and we were herded outside and had to wait out in the cold for at least 15 minutes until the fire engines arrived to give the all clear. There was then a delay before we got our entree which consisted of home made cannelloni stuffed with pumpkin, was so so, not great. No choice of mains so for people who didn't like Venison they were out of luck. I have to say it was very tender but the serving was small and no separate greens were served, only a small helping of mashed potato. At 10pm some people were only just being served their main course so a few of us decided to leave as it would have been at least another half hour before dessert came. I have since heard that the dessert was terrible. I don't mind paying for good quality food but this would have to have been one of the worst eating experiences I have had in years. Needless to say I will not be returning.

Big ol' homestead on a rise with good views. Full of art, gardens with more sculptures etc, cafe with inside/verandah seating. Even good just to walk the grounds and look at the big ol' trees.

Am one of the many daily walkers in this lovely park. Good for body mind & soul. Well done, Auckland Council!

The art is an acquired taste. The request for a $5 donation is a bit rich. The place is heavily subsidised by Auckland Council, I.e. Your rates!! Cafe food was nice.

What a fabulous outing! Beautiful building full of interesting art, gorgeous garden/sculpture walk topped off with delicious lunch in the cafe. Highly recommended.

Smallish gallery, came here primarily to visit the cafe, but do enjoy the art here as well. Very good Cafe with reasonable prices. Had an excellent cheese platter.

The environment here is quiet, some art exhibitions, the taste and quality of the food in the restaurant are wrong, it is worth recommending a visit.

Awesome gallery. Very good indoor and outdoor setup. Long Gallery is a must see with contemporary exhibitions updated every couple months. Our go-to place on a rainy day.

This stop was one of my favorites during my recent trip to Auckland! The Pah Homestead house is beautiful and the artwork was interesting and enjoyable. I had tea and date scones with one of the friends I was visiting. The servers were friendly and kind.

The gardens around the house are full of wonderful sculptures! Every corner I turned brought a new view.

Wonderful old homestead filled with interesting art and energy. Quite the speckled history.

Wonderful parkland setting with mature trees and beautiful views. Many walking tracks to enjoy. Will be coming again as soon as I can. Have seen the Wallace Art collection at its previous location in Epsom but will also ho inside this beautiful mansion house to see it soon

A wonderful quiet location with very good cafe food. The surroundings are fantastic. A little oasis of calm in the middle of Auckland

Had a wonderful brunch on the way to the airport! We were seated outside on the verandah with a lovely view of the gardens. The coffee was good, albeit a little small, and the food was well cooked, delicious and we felt, good value for money. Looking forward to going back!

Gorgeous building with a beautiful feel to it. Not my style of art but a nice, free activity on a rainy day.

Great house, galleries (rooms in house), cafe and gardens with large sculptures. Plenty for adults and children to enjoy!
