So it's my first time ever going to walker and I park in the parking ramp. Stupidly I have no idea where to enter the art center, so I walk down the entrance of the parking ramp looking like a complete idiot. Anyway I make it inside and immediately find the bathroom, nice looking bathroom in this joint. Once I'm out of the bathroom I waltz right into the exhibits. This place is cool, I love the art and the interactive exhibits. Overall this place is sweet. I get through every single room all the way to the top floor where I'm hanging out coloring a picture if a lizard, ring ring, my friend calls. She planned to meet me here and she just arrived, so we meet up by the tunnel that gets smaller the farther you go in. She's got this simple "WALKER" pin on and I'm like "hey that's cool where'd you get that?" She replies, "You get it when you pay, so then they know that you paid when you are walking through the exhibits." I bust out laughing because this entire time I've been walking around without realizing you even have to pay and none of the employees even noticed. After walking around the outside sculptures we found an ice cream truck, so I would definitely recommend this place to anyone look for a good time.

Very nice place to visit while in Minneapolis, my boyfriend and I had a very good time, the exposition is pretty interesting if you are a fan of modern art.
The staff at the restaurant are super nice, we only have some hot tea and coffee because it was snowing but I highly recommend you to visit both while you spend time in Minneapolis

This is a great museum to go to especially the garden is beautiful go there when it's sunny it's a really nice place to have a picnic. Every time I've gone there it's always surprised me with their collections and it's always good to go as an artist because I can find a lot of inspiration there.

Pornography isn't art. It's lewd, indecent exposure, very offensive, they expose it to kids without warning in the cafe. Will never go back. Sculptures outside were nice. Most of the art we saw was just a bunch of random, found object glued and bolted together. Sorry, but for $14 per person we expected a lot more. Interactive exhibits saved this from a one star review

I really enjoyed the Cuban exhibit. The best part for me, was the copy that conceptualized the "Cuban experience," by putting the art work in a conceptual framework in relationship to the revolution, Castro, the economy, etc. etc. etc. I read each placard and I was in awe of how well-written each one was--the copy was engaging, lively, informative and concise...Wow. The artwork was intriguing and well done. I especially liked the posters. Thank you. Also, I went on a Th. night--thank you Target.

If you want to read a lot then this is a place to check out. There is lots of interesting art and such. My biggest complaint is that its way to political. I rather not have politics in looking at art.

It's not like the typical museum(s) I'm used to. Best way I know how to describe it is it's 'artsy'. Lots of abstract and interpretative pieces. Recommend go on Thursday evenings (5-8) when free admission. Also sculpture garden is across the street.

First free Saturday is great with lots of kid activities. Many artists and exhibits to see. When you are done, stop by the gift shop or grab some food at the restaurant or take a stroll outside to see other exhibits.

This place is so beautiful, day or evening. They have chairs by the spoon bridge and cherry fountain to just relax in. They have numerous sculptures to take pictures of or around. Tons of natural flowers for the bees and also planted for color and beauty. They have lots of parking and if you don't mind a little walk you can always find free parking. Loring park is also across the bridge and would be a great addition to an evening stroll. There is a pavilion there that they have tons of entertainment at throughout the spring and summer. Overall just a spectacular addition to the many enduring landmarks that make up Minneapolis.

My most permitted title for this place is "The Deviant Art Interpretive Center".

Although they do have some Real art and historic items of a value that are worth consideration and taking the time to study, this place has taken the most unfortunate turn toward making socio-political statements about where urban postmodernism has gone.

When given the chance, I prefer to sit in the car and read a good book or simply take a nap.

VERY modern, to the point where you wonder why these things are considered art. Also very sparse, only took an hour to see everything. If you're looking for paintings this is not the place.

I was very impressed with most of the collections. The art is mostly contemporary, so you would better appreciate it with any open mind or taste in contemporary art. There are actually a lot of rooms all over the place and some have great views of Minneapolis. The art center combined with the outdoor sculpture garden makes a great visit.

Fantastic art gallery with an amazing changing exhibition. As well as wonderful standing exhibitions. I really appreciate the themed shows that have come in the past few rounds, particularly with attention and emphasis on women and people of color presenting their art. One of my favorite art museums in town!

Most of the exhibitions were closed the day we went and the staff did not tell us this when we checked in at the front desk. Would have waited to go on a day with more open if I had known
