Wal Mart DC 6085 Review

Best distribution center around. Deliveries are fast and the people are incredibly nice.

Not a bad Walmart DC! Ample space. Overnight parking-lot before entering facilities for pre- and post-delivery (there is also a dumpster on the lot for all junk!). There are two truck stops (Loves and Pilot) just a few miles Southeast of facility. A Kwik Trip a few miles Northwest of facility. Personnel are very, very friendly and courteous. This is an exemplary Walmart DC. Just show up early and follow protocol. The front guard was friendly and informative. Procedure is as goes : 1. Show up early at gate (about 30 to 45 minutes early is advisable, show License). 2. Go to assigned dock 3. Slide tandems to the back. 4. Open doors and backup into assigned dock. 5. Chock wheels 6. Drop landing gear and disconnect tractor from trailer (slide tractor 3 feet forward from trailer) 7. Proceed to office with given envelope. 8. Submit paperwork alongside phone number 9. Proceed to your tractor or drivers lounge on second floor. 10. Once done, you will receive a call, then proceed to office and acquire paperwork. 11. Head back to tractor and proceed to attach trailer. 12. Leave one door open and exit premises. Extra pointers: DO NOT DUMP GARBAGE OR DEBRIS ON PREMISES, you will be banned from this D.C if caught. The facility is as clean as it gets, keep it clean. Also, help write reviews on warehouses with good morale to keep companies in check. It also assists other drivers stay updated.

Definitely impressed with this DC! This DC gets it unlike other DC's. The Overnight Parking is worth 5 stars alone. Other DC's need to take notes!

The ladies in the office was nice, however they took about 5 hours to unload my trailer.

In n out. I think I got outta there in record time 2day. I got 2 the entrance at 02:45 and left @ 04:45. 2 hrs. max time.

Was there an hour early. Immediately got a dock, normal unload time. No too bad

This Walmart is slow. I got a red light after 2 hours docked, and empty after 3 1/2 hours. Came an hour early than my app and trucks left and right of me were still there after I left even though we arrived almost at same time. Of course missed my next pick up appointment time

Its your average Wal-Mart DC. Don't be in a rush, they will take their four hours.

Its a long climb up the outside stairs to the drivers restroom. They eliminated the driver's lounge, now its only two chairs, one vending machine and a TV in the upstairs hallway by the rest rooms

Theres a parking lot outside the gate, so don't be afraid to come early or stay late.

Often they let you check in and dock several hours before your appointment time. .......but be aware that being assigned a dock doesn't mean you won't be there until four hours after your appointment.

Guard shake and recieving people nice and friendly , but I came an hour early on my appointment and took me 6.32 minutes on the duck overnight parking 20 spaces was full

Just a heads up to drivers delivering here. If you get to the check in window in the central receiving office ten minutes or more past your appointment time you are considered late. They will make you wait until they unload all of the other trucks before they get to you. Otherwise this is a very nice Walmart distribution center.

Arrived at 1600 for a 1800 appt. on a Saturday. Put in a door immediately. In and out in an hour and a half.

5+hrs from gate to gate.was able to finish 10-break outside of the gate was a big plus...

What can I say it's a Walmart distribution center sometimes fast sometimes very slow just depends on the time of the day in the crew that they have

There are 17 overnight truck parking spaces in front of the gate! I arrived on a Tuesday night and there were about 4 or more still open.
Gate guard super nice both shifts AM and PM.
If you have produce or non frozen food it is AM delivery. If you have frozen food it is PM delivery. I found this out when the broker scheduled me for a 6AM delivery of frozen food, but the only time to deliver the frozen goods is at night!
Plenty of room to back your truck into the docks.
1. Check in at gate and get your door #
2. Go to your door with tandems slid back and doors open
3. Set your landing gear and uncouple your trailer and tractor. Just move your tractor a little forward showing your fifth wheel
4. Check in at shipping #314 bathroom and vending machines/microwave are up stairs in #315
5. Very fast unloading. I checked in for my evening delivery at 5:20PM and was done by 6:30pm (estimated)
6. Go pick up paperwork after getting your call

They do have wifi and I was able to connect for a little while enough to download some videos off Netflix!

Fairly quick unload, friendly folks at the guard house and receiving department, and best of all, onsite parking!! The other Wal-Mart distribution centers should follow suit and utilize their unused property to accommodate long haul drivers.

Nice people and has staging area for before and after appointment to park. Slow unloading though.

Everybody was super friendly. Put me in a door several hrs before my appointment. Had a large mixed load. 4 hrs to unload. Outside parking.
Overall a great experience.

Kinda treat their employees like tools rather than people..

Dont take loads here, these people enjoy to waste drivers time(over 20 h to deliver)

Nice people. Average walmart. I expected to be with all this reviews more but it is your average Joe. They took me 2 hours before appt. Yet they finished 3 hours after. I got late to other delivery because of them. And i had only 9 pallets. They have overnight parking though

This is a great Walmart distribution center this is the only Walmart distribution center I've been to that has OTR parking outside of it

2,5 hours (delivery, dry) for a facility like that is not bad at all.

Mmmm the first time it was so fast but the second time it take me 2 hrs just to start unload

This is another very nice and friendly walmart dc to deliver to. My appt time was 2:30pm, I checked in at the gate at 1:30pm and was unloded and was on my way at 3pm. It was awesome, can only wish some other walmart places would be that efficient and quick. THANK YOU Walmart DC team at Tomah WI.

I'm giving only 2 because the people are nice and friendly.
But unloading system is the same lake all DC
2h min.
In my case the time turns 3h and still waiting for paperwork.
I don't know why the driver's are so excited about this place.

Don't get here very often, but I'm glad they have a small bull pen for trucks outside the gate for when unload times go wrong.

Always enjoy delivering here, never had any issues. Just annoyed at the paying $50 to drop a trailer thing.

Overnight parking available, lots of grass for my pup, Friendly employees! Checked in 430, appointment was 530, paperwork was in my hand at 715. I wish every DC was like this.

Great pay for our area, benefits slowly but surely getting better. Hours are hard to deal with.

This is one of the better Walmart DC that have been to. In and out in under 2 hours. Friendly staff nice facility.

Inventory and stocking shelves are done at busiest times therefore making it hard and impossible to shop. Their shelves are poorly supplied most of the time. DM's are worthless especially at the check outs.

Honestly this place would be a last time for us to delivery anything so slow driver been waiting over 6 hours still not an empty .

Same as any Wal-Mart DC: Be on time so you can sit around and wait. They never unload anything until after you've been there for 2 hours.

Over night parking and good service ,,some time they recive. 3 h before if they need the merchandise in 2 h y was parking in the love emty good luck

DELIVERY. Typical DC with exception with parking lot if front of the gate. Nice staff and clean restrooms. Around 2-4 hrs to unload.

Nice guards, receiving office all nice but getting unloaded is another story. Only have 4500lbs and over two hours of sitting and they haven t started.

Arrived for appt at 0425 unloaded at 0610. Very quick unload here. Nice

They have overnight parking for around 15 trucks, and I got empty in less than 2h (load of beverages), not bad for DC!
