Good experience nice Christmas market beautiful lights, it was very busy took us a hour just to get into Waddesdon manor which was expected, the only thing that disappointed me was when we was going back to the car park there was a very long line waiting for the bus back to the car park we stood there waiting patiently then we see people walk straight passed us right to the front spoke to the members of staff and they let them get straight on the bus without having to que like the rest of us, very disappointing that the members of staff let them do this

Even better than Chatsworth. This hall and estate is incredible and the National Trust have done an excellent job at making it accessible and open. There's so much to explore, we're planning a return visit already.

Our 1st time visiting this stunning Manor & ground...

Our 1st time visiting this stunning Manor & grounds for the X-Mas Fair. Had mulled wine & a mince pie first thing to keep us warm whilst looking at what each stall had to offer. Very well organised. We toured the Manor that was beautifully decorated throughout with Xmas trees in each room we saw. Each room had a theme. The Nutcracker room was my favourite. The staff were lovely, helpful, very knowledgeable of the history of the place & it's possessions & very friendly.
Got Mulled Cider after the tour & it kept me warm (Hubby was driving) whilst queuing for the last shuttle bus at 6:30pm to take us back to the car park.
We'll return soon as we didn't do the walk of lights & see all the stalls. Can't wait for next weekend. Don't miss it!

Such a stunningly beautiful place to go. The gardens are carefully tended and the house itself looks almost like a fairytale palace. Inside there are priceless treasures that are amazing to see. Definitely worth a visit!

Wide open spaces, vast collection only seen in places like V&A of exceptional wealth, great multi-level kids (older) playground. Some limitations for younger kids (toddler/in pram) and no sitting benches outside of main area. Toilets immaculate and space. Gift shop management a bit haphazard and disorganized although plenty of staff. Staff all friendly and helpful. Shuttle bus frequent; pedestrian crossings should be marked/zebra x as a potential road safety hazard. Some steep hills not always fenced. Very well kept gardens.

Winter lighting is a must watch, do book you tickets before hand for a confirmed entry into the house even if you are a national trust member. The entry into the manor itself is in limited numbers!

As always a lovely place to visit. We had a lovely meal, served by efficient and friendly staff. The transport from car park to the house frequent and well ordered. Grounds and house very well presented, as one expects from the National Trust, a really good day out would recommend to everyone.

A spectacular house, full of lavish furnishings, chandeliers, china and wonderful paintings. Just partially reopened. The extensive grounds are lovely to walk in and there's a great woodland adventure area for kids. Very wheelchair friendly. Several nice cafes. Booking essential. The car park is a 20 minute uphill walk, I recommend the shuttle bus for the less mobile.

Our second visit, but we hadn't checked the opening details and found only limited access. It'll teach us for visiting the area out of season. Fantastic place though and would recommend anyone the insight as to how the other half (or the top wealthiest 0.5%) lived.

Simply one of the very best national trust properties. Very well organised, with good parking and a regular shuttle bus to the property. The property itself is the work of a perfectionist, with an unlimited budget. A fascinating day out.

Chilly but sunny day. Covid check in easy. Signposting around the grounds very clear. Timed visits meant you could find a quiet trail to enjoy the beautiful grounds with great views across the countryside.

It's a good place to visit and look around, the wine cellar is good and it goes on for a long time. I would not eat the food it tastes like garbage and needs a new menu, when that gets changed it will go to 4 stars. The seating is bad as more than 3 people cant eat at a table, when this changes it will be 5 star. The site is large and has lots to do. They have a bus that you can get around on.

I feel awful giving only 3 stars as this is a truly impressive building but I just didn't like it. There was little information in the rooms themselves and the room attendants weren't very chatty. I think that maybe I just wasn't interested in the overly opulent decor and objects. The house didn't feel like it was or had ever been a home. Maybe it was the use of the blinds to protect the art and fabrics that prevented that warmth and homely feel. I visited the Stables for a bite and wasn't overly impressed with what I had and it all seemed overpriced. I realise now that there may have been some walks in the grounds that I could have done but these aren't mentioned on the leaflet and there was not much signage in the grounds. The aviary is doi g good work though and the main keeper had some interesting things to tell.

We arrived quite late in the afternoon but with adequate time to visit the garden. The parking arrangements have changed since our last visit and the car park is now about a mile from the house. In the large car park, it is not at all obvious where the entrance desk is located or that there was a complimentary shuttle bus service to and from the house. We enjoyed the outside view of the house, even though a French chateau is totally out of keeping with the surroundings, and of the very formal but beautifully floral parterre behind the house. We decided to walk back to the car park (allow 30 minutes) but we felt that the start of the walk was not well signposted. The estate is free to enter for NT members but there is very little sign of the NT on the estate or the surrounding - it all appears to be run by the Waddesdon enterprise or the Rothschild family.
