Mark and Jeff were awesome as usual. I am yet to be let down by them and I firmly believe that day might never come. Once my car was towed over to them (car wouldn't start, later identified as a blown fuel pump fuse), I knew it was in good hands. It made to their service center on Friday and by Monday I had received a call that the car was good to go (I was duly informed that they might not be able to get to the car on Saturday, which is understandable due to the holidays). Their promptness and due attention to the matter is greatly appreciated. Jeff took the time to explain what the problem and what was the resolution that was applied to resolve the issue, which as a customer allays any concerns as to any major faults. Once the car was fixed, Mark, as helpful and understanding as ever (I have worked with him on a previous issue and he is the best you could ask of your service advisor/specialist), acceded to my unscheduled request for a drop off and ensure a drop off early Tuesday morning. Overall, I could not have asked for more, and I completed a 500+ mile drive on Christmas eve and the car is running great. Kudos to Jeff, Mark and all the technicians at Faulkner Volvo for ensuring that I spend Christmas with family and I hope they had a great Christmas and wish them a very happy new year!
As to the issue of the blown fuse, it is something that probably could have been avoided at the factory itself (earlier issues with my car include a broken wind shield at delivery and a water leak from the roof into the camera unit, which are, I believe, that could have been avoided during assembly) and it would augur well for Volvo if these issues are plugged as a part of the QC process beforehand, as the cars perform and look great, and unscheduled service visits for such issues are anything but expected when customers choose a Volvo.
Update 3/9/21:
I went there again and this time for my yearly service, and this time Ron (who I was working with the first time) was able to assist me with the maintenance options exceedingly well. He took the time to explain what was required and what was not and the service was done in a jiffy. Big thanks to the awesome Ron and team at Faulkner Volvo service!
