Very unprofessional and hung up on me because I am unable to get the financial information of my boyfriend to give to them in order to just have a consultation. I live with him part time and they said they need everyone's income in the household. They already said they do not represent the case I have but I was just trying to get some help and direction. I could understand if I were married or living with him full time but am not. Hanging up on me despite the fact I didn't do anything to deserve that type of behavior says a lot.

Very unprofessional service/busines. Went to get legal advice on name change and was told to wait by order received. Once my turn came to speak to someone, a lady that came after me was called into the room before me. I asked The guy from volunteer lawyers network why as someone going in front of me he said because he didn t tell the lawyer I was first. How unprofessional it is to have someone wait for someone else to go in front of them. A number service would probably be recommended versus depending on a human being to be honest and conduct a service in a honest number form. Very disappointed and upset. This situation has cost me more money for parking as I m being charged by the hour. I can t believe an employee would conduct such poor business for a network as such. I know people come for services like this because of money but to be treated like this is and was not justified

I was on hold for an hour, I answered questions that didn't apply to me because the person didn't ask how the people I live with were involved in the case, waited a week and a half for a phone call that had a two-hour window that only lasted 10 minutes. The lawyer I talked to wasn't the way that I was told to contact, and that lawyer sounded like they only read one page of the affidavit I sent. The lawyer that called me wasn't really invested in helping me with advice, like they're supposed to. The person gave me a huge confidence boost about representing myself, but didn't have much to say about law.

You go to places like this for help. Help Because you are in financial trouble. The issue is if your case needs more than 10 or 15 hours these people do not want to help you and fact they will not even look for someone else to help you if the lawyer they give you can't solve your case of the 1st week. Honestly I was really pleased with the amount of customer service at first. But the moment somebody finds out your case is gonna take a little bit of work for an attorney they turn on you faster than you'll ever believe. In fact they made more of a massive food for me than anything written answers down and submitted answers from one attorney that I don't even understand in my opinion they hurt my case. I'm going to be finding a lawyer once things get better and I'm gonna be coming back after this place you have my word. They've ruined my whole life make sure you have a really simple case before you call the volunteer lawyers network

About Volunteer Lawyer's Network

Volunteer Lawyer's Network (VLN) is a non-profit organization that provides legal services to low-income individuals and families in need. The organization was founded in 1966 by a group of lawyers who recognized the need for legal assistance for those who could not afford it. Since then, VLN has grown to become one of the largest and most respected legal aid organizations in the country.

At VLN, our mission is to ensure that everyone has access to justice, regardless of their financial situation. We believe that everyone deserves equal protection under the law, and we work tirelessly to make this a reality for our clients.

We understand that navigating the legal system can be overwhelming for many people. That's why we take a client-centered approach to all our work at VLN. We listen carefully to each client's unique situation before providing tailored advice or representation based on their needs.

In addition to providing direct services to clients, VLN also engages in policy advocacy work aimed at improving access to justice for all Minnesotans. We collaborate with other organizations across sectors such as healthcare providers or social service agencies so they can better identify when someone may need help from an attorney.

Our team consists of highly skilled attorneys who are passionate about making a difference in people's lives through their work at VLN. They bring years of experience working with low-income communities as well as expertise in various areas such as housing law or immigration law.

At Volunteer Lawyer's Network (VLN), we are committed not only providing high-quality legal services but also empowering individuals with knowledge about their rights so they can advocate effectively on behalf themselves too!
