My husband has had 2 nurses come out both were rude and neither one came with supplies they both dug through OUR cabinets looking for supplies!!! Went to his doctor two days after the first nurse came and dressed his wound and our doctors nurse said WHO THE HELL PUT THESE BANDAGES ON YOU! run as fast as you can from this company.

Who would have thought that you need to yelp a hospice organization?
I have heard nothing but good stories coming from Hospice. Unfortunately for my mother, we had nothing but horrible care. They came out the day my mother came home from the hospital and told me that ANYTHING i need I would just need to call and they would take care of it. My first call was that night when I needed diapers. I was told to get in the car and go to Walgrens. The nurses don't have any. The second call at 5 in the morning requesting diapers, (because I couldn't leave my dying mother to go buy some) I was told the same thing!! My mother was only on Hospice for 13 days. I never had continuity of care, meaning I never ever saw the same nurse twice. My mother had an open wound that needed cleaning and changing daily. They said I needed to do it. My last call on Easter was requesting chucks (pads under patient) again I was told to go to the store.
During all of this, my brother called Debbie Thompson, the supervisor, and related to her all the problems I was having. She assured him she would call me and handle it. She never called. After my mother passed, I called Debbie everyday for several days asking her to call me. She finally did and truthfully............this woman DOES NOT CARE about helping families or quality of care. Run as fast as you can from this HOSPICE

Families do your research. One of the worst hospices I ever worked for. Ask doctors about this company. Unless they are the payroll, I don't see how any person could recommend VNA and then I would questions their morals and ethics.

Worst experience ever. Supplies are not on time. Some nurses are rude. If you are lucky enough to get a nurse or bather you like they change the staff around. Constant new people.

And let s talk about the chaplain. I explained mom needed her final visit, get it? Final visit.

He comes in jeans , no bible, no glasses to read the Bible we supplied. Nothing done for my mother. This company failed her on many levels.

You really need to do something about supplies. These families are not working,
You promise supplies we cannot afford. Take that seriously, we need those supplies

And we don t want bits and pieces of stuff out of someone s trunk

My deceased parent was treated with negligence and I have a Public Health Investigation to prove it. I am addressing the issue today, they have ignored me in the past..I will put up and update as soon as I get feedback. Thank you

encountered the most rudest nurse i have ever worked with in my entire 9 years of healthcare work.this nurse named debbie who is assigned to a cancer patient of mine in riverside.

i called her after waiting an hour for the on call nurse to call me back because my patient has only 1 ml of morphine left.this patient is in pain and needs morphine every hour. i called her after one of the nurse whos name and number written in the book didn't answer.as soon as she answered i apologized for calling late (9 pm) but i needed to know if its ok to just give the lorazepam. she started being rude telling me why i called her at this hour repeatedly and that its wrong to let the medicine be this low.mind you i told her i came in at 7 pm and gave the dose at 8 pm.she could have told me to call the office because she is off the clock and wont be able to help me.

in the field we choose to be in we need to have compassion, understanding and love fpr what we do.i wonder how ypu treat people in your everyday life and the people you take care off.cause you ma'am lack compassion and a great deal of helpfullness.i can be off but when a family or my patient calls me for a question i dont act rude and make them feel stupid.i treat my patient and there family and caregivers family.i hope ypu dont treat people like that al the time specially your patients that is dying.

vna needs more nurses who are very compassionate and really do care for what they do.

This recent review mirrors my experience last year as well: "-
Worst experience in healthcare. The most unorganized company there is. You will get a physical therapist but no other services approved will be given. They lost files and don't follow through with services" And, I have to have access home health services again in a couple of weeks. Last year, I understand this branch of the VNA of California was undergoing a management change and relocation of the office serving Beaumont. So, I was led to believe that was part of the difficulty trying to receive regular services for which I was entitled. I must have placed 50+ telephone calls between the VNA and my plan administrator(s) trying to resolve matters. My physical therapy was interrupted numerous times, and I had to wait over 5 weeks to obtain a home health aide to assist me with bathing during my recovery from an exceedingly rare knee surgery. I surely hope things will be better this time around. Many times, VNA staff would promise to call my doctor's office and/or my insurance plan personnel and fail to follow through. I must commend two employees however, Christian and Josh. To my regret, I have learned Josh has left this organization. No surprise actually. Hopefully Christian will still be available if I have to use the VNA again. Looking into other options.

I'm very thankful for VNA California they were there for my mother and my family during the hardest time of our lives and made us feel very supported and loved, the nurses were amazing, compassionate and very caring. Thank You to all the staff that helped my mother live her last days as comfortably and peacefully as she could. God Bless them.
