Friendly staff, clean changing rooms with excellent baby facilities
Good size pool, needs little more attention towards cleaning
Wonderful staff. Good range of equipment. Convenient opening hours. Car park can get busy in the evening. But I try to visit during the day so not a problem for me.
From me big zero rating for vivacity regional pool. How rude they are, idiots sitting on phone. firstly checked their opening time on website whether they open or not, website was showing open. First time I rang to vivacity regional pool on Saturday around 2:30pm to find out swimming classes for my son, don t know who was sitting next to phone they picked a phone twice then disconnected. This is called service. If or for any reason they can t take calls there should be voice recorded clear message site is open but our phone lines are closed. What a lazy people.
A bit dirty in the ladies changing area nothing major just floor and lockers could get cleaned down more often
... Some staff members wasn't informed enough about their duties on the day we visited and was kinda lost when asked some questions but apparatus from that... Good
Love the pool.
The staff are 99% switched off and slow.
Thank you for an amazing day yesterday. Can't wait for the next one.
Clean and friendly although the changing rooms can be a bit cold and slippery.
I've been swimming here for years. I've never known the staff to be rude disputed some awkward customers. The lifeguards are all friendly. Most problems are sorted as long as they are reported. No good moaning about something the staff don't know about. My only grouse is that it the water is TOO warm at times. Healthier at around 26 degrees and a better swim.
Disgousting, water is very salty, everything there is so old, especially pool. Too many children in the middle of the pool, i was unable to swim over the lines.
Old facility, pool 25m with dive pit home of COPs swim team, astroturf gym, athletics track home of Nene Valley Harriers the region's best track and field team.
Older building but very good facilities. Do great swimming lessons for kids and if you sign up to pay by direct debit you get benefits. Pool always arm and clean
Has a great pool and gym. Only downside would be that it hasn't been updated in a while and the membership is quite expensive but I have enjoyed my experience there.
A good place if you want to swing or use the fitness equipment. Only issue is that it could be cleaner - some dirty areas in the changing rooms, etc.
I am learning to swim I normally go there at 9 at night instructor just standing there.
Swam here only. It can be busy but swim sessions in the evening suit me
Swam here from a child and little has changed, modernised a bit over time, I miss the cafe and the benches alongside the main pool, nostalgia but my son started his swimming journey here in September and is thoroughly enjoying himself and I am impressed with his swimming teachers, and the helper in the pool on Saturdays, do sometimes wonder about staff social lives as they chat to each other a lot (not the teachers but the lifeguards) however he is progressing well, not afraid of the water and always super excited on Saturday morning (used to do Wednesday much quieter and personal but mummy missed watching him)
Viewing of swimming competitions and training. Good views of the pool, take a cushion as the seats are hard after 2 hours of viewing. Prepare to strip off as it gets warm in summer.
Whole place is fine including the membership cost and terms but sauna and steam room should be way more intensive! Most people I've met there are disappointed about those.
Take my child to lessons every Saturday morning And all the staff are great very helpful and friendly.
Excellent customer service from the staff in the reception area, gym and pool.
Me and my girlfriend really like the pool, the facilities are at a great price and everything is nice and clean. Pool is big and relaxing. One thing that brought the mood down was a few of the lifeguards. We felt as though they were laughing at us in some way and maybe even gossiping. This made us feel uncomfortable and unwanted, and even embarrassed. They may have just been laughing about something else but they kept looking at us and laughing. Overall a good experience though.
Average rating for pool and staff. You need to plan your visits around busy times if you seriously want to swim
Good place to go swimming with family, especially on Sundays. Kids up to 5 years can have free entry card.
Worst ever experience,
The staff attitudes is very biast and rude, I was wearing shorts that slightly below my knees and its because of my religious requirements, but the staff stopped me and didn't allow us to swim because the shirts have to be higher then knees.
At the same time I saw some guys already wearing same length shorts already in the pool.
I find it very frustrating and totally unfair to us.
I don't understand the risk and no explanation was given to deny the entry to pool.
I will never go there again.
It's ok but very basic. The changing rooms need updating they are very old fashioned and dated not very clean either. The staff are the only good thing about the place. It needs a complete facelift.
Took the kids swimming. Reasonably priced and clean. Pool could use a little updating or maintenance but overall experience was good and would certainly use again.
the little details puts you down. The pool is fantastic and the spinning monitors are fantastic. On the down side it's the price. 42 quid a month is really a lot for Peterborough. Posh cities like Cambridge charged 35 for a similar kind of facilities. The showers in the male changing room are really bad. there are only 4 on the way to the swimming pool. Very difficult to have a proper shower there. Really bad is that i have seen at least 4 times in 2 weeks youngsters rolling cigarettes in the changing rooms, and staff walking through and not saying anything at all. I will go, because I really enjoy the pool, but it is really really improvable.
Place is ok but changing rooms need a deep clean. Occasionally places shuts earlier or completely closed without any warning other that a notice on the desk the same day. Some of the clients behavoiur in an intidating manner.
My first time here and quite nice since not a lot of people swimming. Xx
Poorly lit car park which is to far away from the pool
I have only used this for taking my little boy to start swimming but I have to say I like it. The prices aren't too high, the facilities are good, the teaching pool is nice and warm and it seems well enough cared for. I can't fault it really.
Brilliant leisure centre, well equipped and the staff are very helpful. Prices are very reasonable and there is plenty to do from spinning to swimming!
Swam here quite a few times over the year and it was the favourite pool I had ever swam at. The changing rooms are a bit wet but overall a great facility!
nice swimming pools and gym. loved the diving boards, could improve the changing rooms
Very friendly and nice staff, swimming pool water great temperature
Nice place for lessons and recreational swimming. The water is quite cold though.
Swimming pool is ok but the 40 year old complex is really dated, needs modernising. Not enough showers when busy. Very limited facilities considering this is the main leisure centre for the whole city.
Everytime I visit here there's something broken or not working, changing rooms can be filthy sometimes and the showers are almost pointless as there are only four of them and they have no pressure whatsoever. The only plus is that it's close to town and the gym isn't too bad.
Dryer doesn t work, staff very busy. Never pick the phone.
Love it here, swimming pool is great for the kids and nice and cheap.
Good regional pool with good value for money swimming lessons. There is a diving pit with 3 boards and a teaching pool for the littles which is always balmy and warm.
Old hair dryers . Can't belive they still using them
Had a swimming competition here and the staff are very nice and the changing rooms and poolside are cleaned regularly. Don't know about the other facilities as I've only been here twice.
A great place for a work out, but they do need some new equipment.
verry good swiming paul and jim and very good staff
Good family-friendly pool and good diving pit with 3 diving boards.
Only problem I can see there is sauna and steam room doesn't work much often.
Brilliant place with state of the art training equipment
The staff here are always happy to help and the Pool is well managed. Though the changing area could be cleaned more often due to large numbers in and out.
Went swimming with two of my kids and they did not let me in as my 7 years old refused to wear arms bands. He can swim very well and i was gonna buy float for my 5 months old daughter but still wasn't allowed in. Not to mention i was waiting for good 45 minutes as they were busy and they fail to told me straigh away so i waisted lots of time. Plus staff informed me that i could swim with my kids seperate meanig leaving my baby on het own while going to the pool with my 7 years old apparently that's safe nd ok. Will never come back as tgat was a joke
Love this place for the gym and for a swim, just a she it's so expensive otherwise I would join, oo and the showers are unreasonably hot
Cutomer service was terrible, staff at the front desk were so rude, definitely recommend nobody to go there!
Sadly, even though i've been here 7 years,i'm leaving the gym as it really has gone downhill. There are disinterested staff who are badly managed and disorganised. They spend more time gossipping to each other or their "mates" about non work related tittle tattle rather than do any work....this is in ear shot of members so can be awkward and uncomfortable. The gym needs to be better designed why they put that awful x cube contraption in the middle of the abs/stretching area,i don't know. It just feels cluttered now and they have clearly had an influx of new members but arn't big enough to deal with it so it's too crowded. Studio floors are often filthy as are the changing rooms, showers need upgrading and the curtains make your towel smell. There is an increasing number of obnoxious customers there who (i personally witnessed) bullying a woman out of a changing cubicle cos it was "hers" and people are often fighting over or sharing equipment cos there isn't enough. The coffee machine they have is always broken so needs replacing too. This isn't a "no frills"gym. It's expensive and they put the price up every year but don't upgrade the service to match. It's become a waste of money for me so i'm taking my business elsewhere....oh,and if you complain, they just fob you off.
Great for the whole family. We will be regulars here :)
I visit this pool with my son. I'm glad with the instructors. The temperature in the halls is very pleasant, I'd say it's rather warm. It is true that the water is a bit less warm, but this is a swimming pool not a spa resort. You move and get warm. I have to check, but I think the water is ionized meaning there is less chemicals used. Not tremendously busy, there is room to swim and enjoy with kids.
I used to go to swimming lessons here and it is one of the best places if you want to learn. They taught me alot of swimming techniques and the teachers were really nice. Definitely go here if you want to learn how to swim. If you just want to go for the fun of it you should still go as this is the perfect place for a fun day out with your mates or family!
Lovely atmosphere, good temp of water, but where giggles as if the water gets in your eyes it will hurt for hours (trade off of part salt mix).
Swimming time table might help
Water warm changing rooms are clean all round very good
Nice place Tuesday evening's. Adults only swim, 8 - 10pm.
Love this Place Cause Of Awesome Staff and The Personal Training by Nabil Athman
Rang before going as it's a good 45min drive for us and wanted to check times as it's school holidays. When we arrived was told not able to go on as was full. She could have said this on the phone and saved us a journey! 1/2 hour we had to wait. I wish we hadn't!!! The pool it's self was ok, small for a city council pool I thought though, then I noticed the lifeguards, god help them if someone's in trouble, they spent more time chatting to eachother and trying (and failing miserably) to look important. An obnoxious family were dive bombing off the side and all they did was glance over, not a word was said, yet it was clear to all in the pool they were causing an annoyance to people nearby.
To sum up, this place is dated, expensive and the staff are rude. Definitely won't be returning.
