Dr. Garber is an exceptional eye doctor. I've had eye issues since surgery in 1960 and I know a good physician when I see one. He is an expert for your eyes. He is also very kind, having a great "bedside" manner. I would recommend him to anyone I know.

Dr. DeHorn delivers quality care, answers all my questions and patiently works with me to decide the best course of treatment. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Garber is amazing. Having to go here is never a fun experience, but Dr. Garber has a wonderful bedside manner, and is quick and to the point. He will always answer your questions but he doesn't make you sit in that seat any longer than you want to.

Dr garber is a very wonderful person I was completely blind and within 2 years I had 2025 in my left and 20200 in right. Now i can hunt
and drive. He was very helpful in helping me make decisions on my treatment. Because I had seen another dr and that is why my right eye only has 20200. That being said I wish during this covid pandemic that your office would be a little more understanding about people that have severe asthma and have a big problem breathing under a mask you should have respect for all people.

Dr. Kathleen DeHorn is the best. Knowledgeable, friendly and precise.

Dr. Garber and the entire staff are awesome. I had a detached retina Thanksgiving. Dr Garber met me on Friday, had surgery on Monday.

Unbelievable!

Dr Garber is a highly competent and professional individual who obviously has a passion for his chosen profession.

Ridiculous that a 2:50 pm appointment turns into a 2 hour wait to see Dr. Garber. It is 4:54 pm, still have not been seen. The staff are very helpful, so all I can think of is that this is bad time management by the administrators.

I do due diligence before choosing medical practitioners. Dr. Garber came with the highest recommendations and my expectations have born out. I've had a lot of issues over the years. He has monitored my Central Serous Retinopathy and repaired four retinal tears with another done by one of the other physicians in the practice on an emergency basis. Dr Garber also caught incipient Glaucoma on one of those visits. It's excellent care coming from a well organized office.

Since my husband began treatment at VRA, his vision loss due to Mac-degeneration has improved and remains stabilized.

I have been seeing Dr. Zheutlin since 1996 and he has saved my sight in both eyes. He is very caring and easy to talk with about your sight. He is informative and patient. I highly recommend him.

I am always treated very well by any staff I encounter and seeing Dr. DeHorn is always beneficial. I do have two things that I will write: sometimes the music is bad, and I did ask once to change it. Most of your clients are older people, and the music is not soothing in any way--more annoying. Also, after the last two visits I was not offered dark glasses after eyes dilated, and found myself in my car driving away, not being able to see! I just kept going thinking it would get better & go home, but it was really a challenging drive. If I forget to ask, please give me some dark glasses next time. Thanks.

I can t say that I enjoy going because when I do it means I have to have a shot in my eye. However with that said they have always treated me very well and the doctor really knows his stuff. I am very impressed across the board

They were great but a few days later they left a message on my answering machine saying they need to reschedule my next Kalamazoo appointment to their G.R. office. I have no one to drive me and I have a hard time as it is seeing to drive.

Appreciated the care and concern shown by Dr. Glazer, who accepted a phone referral and spoke with me on a weekend. He then called me when the office opened at 8am Monday to ask about any changes in my condition and had the staff work me into the schedule. The actual appointment was with Dr. DeHorn who was wonderful. She listened and explained things well, very friendly, courteous, and professional.

Dr. Zheutlin gave me the last injection. It wasn't as soon to feel better than the one before that, but much better than the very first one when we went up to Grand Rapids, and I did not bring Tylenol for immediate use. (The first shot, of course, would come as a shock to someone like me, and take longer to feel better. That was when I first learned that I had wet AMD.)
Dr. De Horne is very skilled, and listens swiftly to a person, giving great confidence.

Dr Garber is very knowledgeable and competent as a physician. He shows empathy and interest in his patient. The practice could improve by supplying more handouts on the disease process and current research or related studies.

Dr. Kathleen DeHorn is a pleasure to see for my eye care. She is always pleasant and friendly and always answers questions that I ask of her. I believe she is very knowledgeable.
Since seeing her, the vision that I lost in my left eye over 25 years ago is improving. I never thought that I would mind getting a shot in my eye every couple of months but I go there with hope that my eyesight will continue to improve.
I feel that she was put in my life to help improve the quality of life for me and I thank her and her staff for going to the Ionia office from Grand Rapids. If she didn't I probably would not be able to see her.

They overschedule, but this is partly due to a lack of alternative offices for patients. Have started scheduling appointments in the morning so I only have to wait 15 minutes instead of 90 minutes to be seen. The employees aren t motivated. You can see them lollygagging around all the time. If you can find a different option, take it.

Dr. Jeffrey Zheutlin and his staff are the absolute best. Dr. Zheutlin performed the surgery to repair my detached retina several years ago. I recently visited his office for a follow up visit. He is professional, punctual and is a great conversationalist.
