Vito's Pizza and Italian Ristorante Review

We go every Christmas Eve after church for dinner. The food is always excellent. We have always had great service, but tonight was not that great. I can't state the waittress name because she never told us. We arrive a couple minutes after the rest of our family and they were already seated, had their drinks and fresh bread on the table. When she asked if we would like something else to drink other than water, we ordered what we wanted. She was not knowledgeable about one of the drinks. We asked for bread, and she said some would be right out. When she brought our drinks, and took our order, we again asked for bread. She said it doesn't come out until the salad comes out, meanwhile, all the other tables had bread on them. We had to ask for plates to out the antipasto salad on. After we were served our dinners, she never came back to see if everything was ok. Other than the lack of service, as always we enjoyed our dinner. I would highly recommend this restaurant for Italian food and the pizza is also very good.

Food and drinks were fantastic! Our waitress Debra was was very nice and helpful.
This was our first time trying this place and it turns out that Wednesday's are half price desserts, so we got two! And the cannoli is by far the best I've ever had!

Very good Chicago style pizza.great server staff and even the general manager came to chat with us. The amount of people always dining there should tell you to stop in.next time out I'm trying the lasagna and meatballs

WOW!!! The drive-thru made picking up our pizza extremely efficient, fast and simple. The place was jam-packed and the parking lot was full. Picking up our pizzas at the drive-thru went very smoothly. Good pizza, good service and high prices

Vito's makes a fantastic thin-crust pizza. I like it so much I haven't actually tried any of the other entrees there. I have gotten cannoli for desert, but always have to take it to go and eat it later because I'm stuffed. Service is always top-notch as well. It's easily on my list of favorite restaurants and is one my whole extended family loves as well.

Pictured is my usual pepperoni, sausage, and black olives. I had them drizzle some pesto on top for a little extra flavor. You can also see my mother's boring plain cheese pizza in the background. :-)

Myself, my coworkers, my family and extended family all agree that this is THE BEST ITALIAN RESTAURANT. Food is incredible...We've enjoyed the takeout pizza and the dinner-in service. Just wish parking was better

I didn't know what to expect coming here. We wanted good, down home italian food that wasn't over the top expensive. Well, that is what we found! The calamari appetizer is phenomenal! It was not rubbery or dried out. It was super tender and the breading is amazing. The drinks were well made. The service was friendly. This place was a very pleasant surprise!

The staff was very accommodating and the food was good. The only complaint was the building was very loud

Surprisingly really good! I've lived near here and never been. It's an old Mesa classic and the Chicken Caprese was one of the best pastas I've ever had!

Lunch is a bit pricey but service is good. Pesto butter for bread is super yummy. Sunrise sauce (Alfredo w Marinara) is our fave. The house sausage is BOMB!

I have been going here for years! It was one of my parents favorite places to go! They have the best FOOD and SERVICE, and still going strong!

34 years in Mesa! They must be doing something right. I love their menu. Unique Chicago style dining. Sometimes, my wife and I end up here just for dessert at the bar. House made Tiramisu... to die for.

Always have enjoyed the pizza but getting rid of the double crust option was not a good choice.

Been going here since I was a kid and I still love it. All the pasta is amazing, tortellini sunrise is my favorite. The antipasta salad large is huge and has lots of meat. This is a place I frequent a lot and definitely recommend.

Quality food and a great atmosphere. Tad on the pricey side but it s great Italian. We also used the Facebook messenger feature to follow them on FB and get a free appetizer.

Food cold no flavor had eggplant parmesan it was really bland and old.

The Fried Calamari is the best around! Quickly flash fried and very tender. The pizza at Vito's is fantastic with a thin crunchy crust and very fresh taste. We love eating at Vito's!

Lasagna and pizza are my favorites. They have a yummy Sangria too.

Good, authentic Italian food, with dependable service. (Cheri is the best!) Banquet room well-staffed and food is great. Regular dinners can be pricey, but servings are generous.

The pizza was AMAZING!! Super thin crispy crust, plenty of tasty sauce, and no skimping on the toppings. Had a meat lover & tomato/spinach and BOTH were SO good!! Tried the tiramisu, which was delicious also. Atmosphere was like a classic Italian restaurant & service was very attentive. This is going to be our go to place for pizza. NEXT time in town I plan to try something other than pizza because what was coming out to other tables looked & smelled DIVINE!! I highly recommend it!!

Excellent food, friendly family atmosphere, overall a great dining experience. Kim was very helpful & attentive. All staff that came to our table were extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. Vito's is now our place for Italian cuisine.

I love Vito's. You can walk in and get some amazing pasta after a workout, or come here to pregame an event. The food has never disappointed and the sunrise sauce is the best on this side of the Atlantic.

We all enjoyed our food which included salmon, pizza, shrimp, soup. Will definitely eat here again. They were very busy so service was a little slow. Key lime pie was a great end to our meal

I ordered the half baked pizza to go. It was a disaster. Not only was it not 1/2 cooked, there were no directions other than temp & time. By the time I realized I needed to put it on a pizza pan it was halfway into my oven and falling apart. I had veggies all over. The pizza was a total loss, just a pile of stuff and half cooked dough. I had to clean my oven which caused the smoke alarms to go off at midnight. It was such a fiasco. What happened?! I love Vito's but you really let me down for my Oscar's party.

I went here for a work recognition meetinf, and I definitely want to come back next time with a date! The service was excellent, the venue is very neat and clean, the food was fantastic, and the prices were very reasonable.

We had the most wonderful time at Vito s! The food was amazing and staff was so awesome. Giselle was so knowledgeable and friendly and answered all our questions and gave us the best recommendations on the menu ( which was filled with so many wonderful items, it was difficult to choose) and our waiter Colby never left us waiting for anything. That you to both of them for making our experience so fantastic! We will be back the next time we visit our family in Mesa!
