Great place to gain international standard exposure. It's only up to the students to get maximum out of the institute, abundant opurtunities, but students are not capitalizing.

Great campus and education system. I truly enjoyed my graduation days. And about the rules, well the rules are a big pain but in the long run, it makes you disciplined.
Campus looks beautiful but the security is pain in the ass
Great and beautiful campus. Truly well maintained. All amenities are inside the campus. Lots of events are organised thorough out the year. Thought boys hostel are on other side of railway track, walking to class daily may be tiring. Also cabs serves to cut the distance.
If you want to waste your parents hard earn money and just enjoy 4 years of your btech then join because 80percent of students in btech are here for enjoying there 4 years of college life and most of them hail from rich background and if you hail from below average family background then definitely ignore it at any cost the worst part of vit is that most of the faculty are below average and they just pass out student of vit mtech there lecture quality is below average
Clean campus with a lot of trees and greenery. Likewise, the facilities provided here are commendable.
Best engineering college in tamil nadu.
Best place to learning
it is a flexible university. Good faculty and infrastructure but a bit hyped.money minded.Placements vary with branches. Has a lot of unnecessary and unwanted rules.
College is nice outside the college you get the hostel or pg's easily . Teachers are very good here.
Very bad institute, never be educated from Vellore institute of technology.Everything is donation here and the people who study there don't do well.
One of the best colleges to have an excellent education as well as personal development activities along side.
All good reviews by vit persons only.If you think you have got any clue of this college,Ask insider for actual review. Then you'll know
Big place & get chance to meet different people from India.
I think the following post from Facebook must be here as well.
Here are some of the rules that were/are in place:
1. There is no dress code for men apart from requiring them to wear full-length pants in academic buildings. Even that is not strictly enforced.
2. Women and men gave different curfews. On weekdays, it is 9 30pm for men and 8 30pm for women. On weekends, it is 10 30pm for men and 8pm for women (wow amaze logic). In my first few semesters, it used to be 8pm on weekdays and 6pm on weekends for women (6 pm! - the sun hasn't even set!). Apart from this, women need to be within campus by 6pm even though their hostel curfew is 8 30pm. This effectively means that women can never eat dinner outside. No such restrictions for men.
3. Women living on campus can only avail leave once a month and one extra leave for the semester. This leave is only to go home or elsewhere if they have a guardian there. Officially, no vacationing is allowed. There have been instances of wardens overriding parental authority and denying leaves as well - especially if the location was not the hometown (even if parents called in to express their consent). No such restrictions for men.
4. Every time women leave campus or come back in, they have to log in using a fingerprint scanner. Men merely have to show their ID cards at the gate while entering. On weekdays, women are allowed to leave campus for not more than two hours. If they exceed, their weekend outings can be cancelled. On the weekends, women are allowed to leave campus only once, that too with prior permission of the warden (and this is often denied). These outings are limited to 5-6 hours. No such restrictions for men.
5. If an extracurricular team wants to attend a competition outside Vellore and has and women on the team, there needs to be a woman faculty accompanying the team. There is no company needed if the team is an all men's team. As someone who pursued theatre there, it was severely disenfranchising for women because it is rare to find faculty who are willing to forego their weekend (which is when competitions generally are) to travel to a different place.
6. The entire Men's hostel area (not just the buildings but the grounds and roads adjoining) are off limits for women. The reverse also applies. The difference is that the women's hostel covers a small area but the men's hostel LITERALLY covers half the campus. Men and women pay the same tuition but women are only allowed access to half the campus area.
7. In my last couple semesters, the moral policing got ridiculous. A new 'task force' was constituted dubbed by students as the "PDA Committee." These faculty specifically went around campus after dark and if any man and woman were holding hands, they would be called out, their ID cards confiscated and they were fined. Often, the woman's parents (but never the man's) would be involved. God help them if they were hugging.
8. In the last two semesters, it got absolutely ridiculous. There were e-mails sent out saying that no PDA is allowed and contact should be restricted to handshakes. Any flat surface around campus where people (not just couples) could sit was modified to be sloping or triangular or covered with barbed wire to make sure no one would sit there. Any dim area of campus had a floodlight (regular lights didn't do enough to make us feel like prisoners) installed.
9. One way to stay insulated from a lot of these rules is for women to live off campus. Unfortunately, women are not allowed to live off campus alone - only with a parent or guardian. This is an absurd requirement, at the very least. Of course, as usual, there is no such restriction for men.
dont go 4 such a crap .nothing is good .fed up with this rules
V.I.T stands for vellore institute of technology located in vellore... Best college to #learn and #gain knowledge... Chance to grow your carrier... i did my b.tech here in mechanical engineering .i it is simply good but placements only in it companies
The campus is really big and there is lots and lots of greenery around since the campus is set in a rural town. Moreover, the quality of exposure is exponentially more than other private universities. Overall, the place makes you grow as an individual.
Too many rules.
Always busy with projects or assignments.
Nice environment.
It is gr8 clg with gud facilities
But now they have increased intake far too much and seems to be crowded
Good infrastructure nice buildings and active staffs working all around there
M.S. software engg (2013-2018) batch. One of the best collages ive ever known. Ive got the great chance to study there. It's very good that I've joined there. Very nice environment. You can get a chance be with many outside tamil people. You will get to know the people eventually. You will learn their language, culture etc. Good professors. Good curriculum which helps on your job carreer. Nice labs for practical. Very good infrastructure. Clean hostels, ground, swimming pool, gym, food park, enzo, etc,.. There is no words to say.
Good infrastructure, bad hostels, strict rules, language barrier in education and awful climate.
Best place to learn different culture and also the academics
Remember the Moto of VIT University "A place to learn and a chance to grow". Completely student orinted programme. Student need to make up their living here right from the choices to be made Starting from the bed to sleep in which block ,the food they need to eat in which mess , the course to be completed under which faculty and the time table scheduled for the classes.
MBA 2018-2020 batch. Passed out. VELLORE campus. HOSTELER.
Best in middle segment colleges or UNIVERSITIES. with multi cultured and wide range of exposure.
Infra is top class
Faculty is well qualified
Large campus
BEST HOSTELS with very good FOOD and maintenance

Top ranking Private Engginering college, Top ranking Tier 1 private University in India. It s placement record is excellent. Security in Hostel and in institute is very good. Different types of messes are available. Lots of canteens are available in campus. It s student/ parent web portal of students attendance and marks monitoring system is very nice.overall everything is well managed, full security, Fully Flexible Credit System (FFCS) is available for students to choose any elective as per students interest and industry s need.
I know vit since 2015, this is one of the best places to learn new things and associate with new people in South India.
Private institutes are better than the IITs,IISC,IIM,IIIT,AIIMS,ICAI etc.U can enjoy ur life here in these private campuses, make new friends and chill out with them.
Please strictly avoid government institutes. Everyone cannot be a Charlie Chaplin.
Best college in terms of placement as well as campus....
Studied there, the best thing I learnt is the answer for "what is life", best infrastructure.
Very good college for students who want to go core companies in their domain. Excellent library and good infrastructure. Excellent faculty. Enjoy the atmosphere and met different kind of people from all over India.
I was in India for my 4A internship in engineering school, it was a very good experience for me (improvement in listening in English and also writing).
Good experience bY me..
Stickness is very much but we have learn from them.
Nice sports facilities and nice behaviour of teachers.
I love this place not because I'm the part of university as a student but also because it has one of the best campus in India and provides best quality education .
You'll complain while you're there, but at the end of 4 years, you'll realise you actually loved this place.
A college that defines and dictates what people should wear because of the authorities' sexual (dis)orientation is not worth its salt and is a disgrace to humankind, to put it very mildly
Reality however is that - such archaic stereotypes do exist - just like pests exist.
Good college but some faculty are not good
We can experience all different culture people here
Vit - A place to learn and a chance to grow.
These words says it all about Vellore Institute of Technology (Formerly VIT University).
I have been in these place for almost five years. I completed my undergraduate and post graduate in VIT. It was a wonderful time I spent in vit. The Vellore Institute of Technology has got a very beautiful atmosphere and environment. The campus is full of greenary one can find plants and tress everywhere. I really appreciate that how vit maintains its greenary throughout the year in scorching sun of vellore.
The infrastructure of vit is really awesome.
VIT has got many Hostel blocks for both boys and girls separately. The hostels can accommodate around 25,000+ students easily.
There is alot to tell about vit.
Once a Vitian always a vitian.
College worth being associated to. Amazing developers in campus.
Most beautiful place in my life. VIT University helped to stand by in this position ... Hats off to vit
It's a pretty good university.Except i feel like it's a lot more pressure on students ,who rely on themselves rather than faculty.
Excellent University..
good Infrastructure..
I am one of the ALUMNI of the VIT University and it's a best experience for me to spend 4 years of lifetime in the college.
Best place to learn
And a place where You can get maximum exposure among people from different ends

A biggest and charming institute of India and in Vellore Tamil nadu
An perfect engineering college in all private university after bits.
One the best and foreigner favourite institute
But fees is very high in this college
For taking admission in this college students take viteee exam
After clearing that a college is alloted
But vit Vellore is best among all vits
An another ICON of vellore is VIT the infrastructure speaks a lot
VIT as they say is truly a place to learn and a chance to grow. It has state of the art infrastructure and amazingly talented students.
VIT University, Vellore one of the best universities in India with world class infrastructure and technology. FFCS is a very good system which allows flexibility in choosing ones courses during any semester according to students' convenience.
However, the administration is orthodox and parochial. It doesn't allow too much liberty to the students.
It is a place where I studied my UG degree. Beautiful campus. Students from all over the world and India are studying. Recently it received Institute of Eminence. It has many center of excellence. I think it is ranked in the top 500 university in world ranking. Many industries recruiting the students. One of the top ranking university in India. Good numbers of publication from both students and faculties. I was also examiner for students. The students are exceptionally good. Every year January 26th celebrated as Alumni Day.
