I worked 4 years their no respect for others if you need to leave you get written up. I was fired because I was call by the head of the company to discuss how to improve my work area ,the boss was at lunch I was called in the office so he came back he didn't like it and the people who wouldn't stand up for me I was fired 1week later !!!

They said they would be able to load at 8am Saturday Morning ,sat10 hours and still no good, said it wasn't their fault ,so who's fault is it they said it was ready, they can't even own up to their lies

If you have limited prior experience and have been out of work for a while then I would highly recommend you look for employment elsewhere as this company lacks the patience of giving newer people like myself adequate time to improve. I specifically informed them that I would require 60 days to get up to par. They let me go after 10.

Virginia Transformer has a toxic environment. Top management (see President and owner) makes it very clear EVERYONE is replaceable, employees are simply commodities and have no greater value than the components necessary for building transformers. Overtime is essentially mandatory (like Saturday mornings), but you will not be compensated for your extra time (not really sure how this is legal, maybe it's not?)...I have never worked for a company with such an toxic "top down" culture where human capital is so under valued...shocking.

I believe the company's awful environment is clearly established by its CEO/Owner, and he does not have the ability to change due to cultural conditioning. To me, a touch of humanism might reduce the "revolving door" taking place at VT, and improve the "bottom line", but this requires a bit of empathy and understanding and that's not going to happen...

The company has a bad reputation for not protecting the worker or the quality of the product they make. Tremendous turnover of its quality of people and the ongoing masking of the quality process in making a quality product.

If you decide to use the products manufactured from this company be prepared to do due diligence in checking all corners of the manufacturing process to ensure a quality product. The old saying, "you get what you paid for in price for a reason".
