I have been with this company for over 5 years. I...
I have been with this company for over 5 years. I'm not sure what is happening but they aren't what they once were. I would have given them 5 stars a couple years ago. I was use to thorough and correct transactions with Kristin and then Jill who were once with the company but some of the people they have now are not up to par. I called on Monday of Thanksgiving week to have a large sum of money transferred from my investment account to my checking to cover some home projects that I am paying for this week. They made the transaction a purchase! This resulted in an overdraft fee on my checking account. I spoke with the receptionist who after I told her my name and what happened said, "Are you a client here?" Really! Then I was transferred to someone though not told who and sat on hold until the receptionist came back said she would have to call me back as she was on the phone now trying to straighten it out. At least they were aware of the mistake. I explained I would be available from 12:30 to 1:30. I received a message from Reanna as she called before the time I would be available. When I called back, it took me talking to Brad to be assured my overdraft fee would be covered by Monday, after Thanksgiving. That was after I requested speaking with him as I had verified 5 times with ReAnna that I have no money left in my account and the pending transaction charge of over $2,000 had been charged plus the overdraft. If I wouldn't have caught it and transferred money from my savings to cover their mistake, the fees would have started racking up even more as I have a payment over $2,000 coming out tomorrow. (I tried stopping that payment but it's too late.) Now, I have to dive into my savings again to have everyday spending money for Thanksgiving dinner. Happy Holidays right! Furthermore, I'm still paying near $3,000 for something I never purchased as the Mutual Fund company has not reimbursed me for the 'purchase' that was never supposed to happen and I am now having to wait until after Thanksgiving to get the initial deposit. All in all, I'm out over $5,000 now until it is all cleared up. I was told by my bank, it could be weeks. However, the owner, Brad Burwell told me it would be in my account Monday, after the Thanksgiving weekend. I'm compelled at this point to shop around for a new financial firm. I feel financially violated and powerless in the process of recovery. The company has at times done well with investing my money for a good return but I'm eerie of people that don't tell the truth in the beginning, string you along for 10 days, and make such obvious mistakes. I know I can't stay with them.
Update: I still haven't receive the near $3,000 they took from me. I spoke with the Mutual fund company and they are telling me they hold on to it for 10 days. If Vintage Financial would have just been open and honest in the beginning, this story could have ended a bit differently or at least with less frustration.
