Maybe if I could have visited it I would have put 5 stars, but arriving there and discovering that there is no cash desk and having to go to another museum to buy it is inadmissible, we are in 2020, there are electronic payments in addition to that of the website that does not work .

The villa also offers a very special carriage museum with all the tools used to tame horses and various types of carriages. Very interesting for those who are passionate about this field. Stuffed horses are also present.

Located in the heart of the city is a little gem. For those with small children also has a wonderful park. For older children, there is also a museum of carriages where there are computers where they can interact.

Beautiful historic site of Naples, located right in front of the Villa Comunale and which we could particularly appreciate thanks to the very prepared, young and exciting Guides that we had the chance to meet: the students of the Tito Lucrezio Caro High School who gave us ample explanations on the history, anecdotes and the peculiarities of this fantastic place !!

A unique museum of its kind, the beauty of the villa is disarming, surrounded by greenery and full of important works of art, the dining room and the library with a less baroque style but equally splendid are of great impact. I'll be back to see the carriage museum.

If I ever had to choose a historic residence in Naples to live in, it would undoubtedly be the Pignatelli Cortes residence. Each environment, room and hall is rich in art as is the hidden history of the places to walk through.
It is always a great thrill to go back. Recommended!

Villa Pignatelli is located in the Riviera di Chiaia, a few steps from the Villa Comunale and the Caracciolo promenade in Naples, it is one of the most famous house museums in Italy.
The Pignatelli were nobles very refined in their tastes and manners, the villa became a cultural place between intellectuals and high Neapolitan and European aristocracy. Today the villa is well cared for and well organized, the objects are still in their original location. Inside there is an extraordinary Carriage Museum inaugurated in 1975. For some years now Villa Pignatelli has also been "home of photography" hosting numerous international exhibitions in the rooms on the first floor.
Absolutely must be seen !!!!

Please visit this museum! When I went we were the only people in there - and yet they insisted we move though the place in the CORRECT way. There is a world-renowned collection of horse-and-carriages and the grounds are very serene. The house is full of the sort of things you would expect very rich people to own. Please visit! A museum with ten times as many staff as visitors needs your custom!

Villa Pignatelli, a timeless magical location. I hadn't been back for many years. The garden is well-kept and the interior is impeccable with the wonderful rooms with period furniture. On the first floor the photographic exhibition OpenHeArt photographic exhibition organized by the National archaeological museum. Excellent initiative with collective exposure of many photographers including Ilaria Abbienti. The exhibition was curated by Antonio Biasiucci. Realized by the National Archaeological Museum of Naples (MANN) and the Campania Museum Center, in collaboration with the Antonio Biasiucci Irregular Laboratory, the AZTeCA association, the Pianoterra association, the OcchiAperti association, International Art Meetings and the Department of Political, Social and Communication Sciences of the University of Salerno (winner of the Take Part! Act and creative thinking conceived by the Directorate General for Contemporary Creativity and Urban Regeneration of Mibact), "OpenHeArt" aimed to promote the cultural inclusion of young people in areas at risk of economic and social marginality.

Good memories of when I was a child and played on that green and well-kept lawn ... only so much degradation today, sloppiness and dirt. Not even the shadow of the benches. We really have priceless assets and they are not valued.

Villa Pignatelli jealously preserves inside itself...

Villa Pignatelli jealously preserves inside itself wonderful examples of refinement of a past that is not so far away. It consists of two buildings both now used as museums, the neo-Gothic tower, the chalet and the greenhouse. The Principe Diego Aragona Pignatelli museum is the building on the fron of the park whose architectural lines follow those of the Pompeian domus: full of masterpieces that only a visit will be able to fully appreciate, such as, the wonderful Red, the Green, the Blue, the Capodimonte and Vienna ceramics, the works of art donated to the Italian state by Princess Rosina Pignatelli are just one example. At the rear of the villa, there is the Rothschild building from which you can access the Carrozze museum, another gem of Villa Pignatelli. An enchantment.
