Villa 221 Review

Villa 221 is an event space that is sometimes rented by a club promotions company to function as a dance club. While the look and feel may be appropriate for some casual occasions the turn over from club dance to formal banquet can be a little rough and the wear and tear of the location is starting to show over the years. While the location is a prime spot there are far better venues if you are looking for something formal and their and way better night club scene so the usage of the space is limited. This has slowly turned into a tucked away place for young college goers to party.

Absolutely terrible. They refused to pay musicians (whom they had promised to pay), and mocked a man with diabetes, for nearly losing consciousness when they wouldn't allow people to eat. When confronted, they responded with things like "Oh no, your panties are in such a bunch! Doesn't it suck that we got all the money and you got nothing?", and "If anyone is acting like a little girl, it is you. Why couldn't you say this to the owners face rather than waiting to get home to rant on facebook about it? Sounds like you need to grow some balls little girl. Sorry but your girly rants will get you no where. Want some cheese with that whine?". Unprofessional, and just plain awful.

It was wack the food is horrible I went to the mystery Halloween event and realize they did a nice come up and they charge club price for liquor like $12 for drink like come on. U no what I'm leaving just plan upset groupon got me on this one for this mystery dinner

If 0 stars was possible, that's what i would give.

As a musician of 13 years and a dj of 11, I have never seen a venue treat performers with such blatant disregard.

Seeing first had as the owner and security constructed a plan to ripoff the door, and then succeed doing it was appalling to me.

As a businessman by day, and a former venue owner and promoter, I have never seen such atrocities take place at the expense of the musicians.

I see this place having a for sale sign in the near future.

Perfecr venue for The outstanding Amparo Experience

What a scam! Went to FULL MOON MAGIC" Dec28, 2012. Advertised on Facebook as a Free Public event, hippie style. NOT!! They wanted $60 per person cover for those not on their 'list'. And there was a long line waiting to get in. Wasted $10 on parking for 5 minutes.

an amazing new theatrical experience taking place here about a Cuban families fight and struggle for freedom. Must See!
