I am so happy that i visited ISRO twice .I really want to become a part of ISRO its my dream..
Got a chance to visit here as a part of study tour...security level is very high and appreciable...scanners are used to check each and every person while entering the campus..after the survelliance process there will be buses which are used to take people to the vssc..on reaching there we got a chance to see the home theatre of the centre..it was absolutely amazing..wednesdays usually consists of a small rocket launches and we got a chance to see that rocket launch..also they took a group photo with the people working there..learned a lot of things about space and astrophysics related topics from there..even though it was a 1 day trip cant forget this trip..overall an excellent place where every people must visit at least once..and forgot to mention they'll not allow mobile phones inside the centre and also they'll not allow to take photos using our mobile phones..
I don't actually dislike the place. I just could not get into it. Indian Red tape prohibited me from going in on the day of my intended visit. All I wanted to do was go around the museum and learn more about India's space history and take a few photos. I was directed from one gate to another and was told to have passport. I had it on me but was told I needed to apply a few weeks before I wanted to visit to take a look around. India loves its rubber stamping, it this place is no exception. I could get into NASA a lot easier I think. Guess I will have to take a visit to the Science Museum of London , where you can walk in without all that hassle. Be proud of your Space Achievements India, but be a bit flexible about letting us take a look. We are not all spies.
.....

Its amazing...I have been.there for Citizen familiarization programme
VSSC is the first ISRO centre. The first rocket launching station also situates here,TERLS(Thumpa equatorial rocket launching Station). As an Indian ,we are proud to say that our Missile Man worked here. You can still see the room, table and the belonging of the great man,Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam. Entry is allowed only to the employees and those who having entry passes. Yearly once they allows outsiders to watch the rocket launch (Sounding Rocket)

Nice place... best place for college students to visit.... Best for Industrial visit..... It has planetarium and Rocket Launch Pad.... Every 2 Wednesday there is a rocket launch....
Good place
... however its restricted to common public
Now with India leading the space industry with lower cost missions and unmatched success rates compared to its peers, it is a great place to visit. Please note we need to take prior permission from PRO for the visit. The museum inside the campus will tell the amazing Indian journey in this area. A great place to visit especially for our young kids to get motivated.
Best space research institution, run by the Government of India.
Tight security. Need some known person recommendation to enter inside. You can see some.small weather rocket launch.
My Childhood days... Schooling... Efficiency and Research
Best place to gain know about space research and satellites! They too accept college and school industrial visits! That's a must to see once in our life!
Vssc and Isro.. space research complex .. govt of india buildings.. restricted entry..beach road.. Veli or Kochu Veli are near railway stations..
I did project work in space physics laboratory as a part of my M.Sc. Tech Engineering physics.
Mother centre of indian space research organisation. Lovely place spread across the shore of Arabian sea.
The space center named after the legendary scientist.
Good ambience and well staffed but canteen food is terrible. But prices are extremely low. You can get lunch at 7.5 rupees. Service is instant, and you can pay once at the end of the month for all the lunches together. Coffee is decent. The normal Scientist hostel food is good but hard to book for yourself. The not-widely-known continental lunch option in scientist hostel is really excellent. Includes dishes such as Parmesan stuffed chicken, mashed beef sandwiches, fish fingers, marinated chicken steak and the best herbed mashed potatoes ever. However, good luck trying to eat any of these hidden delicacies. You literally need a visitor from a foreign country to book it for him and shamelessly ask to sample all his dishes. Come to think of it, good luck eating anything from here because you need to be an employee to enter.
Vssc is situated at thumba in Kerala this is largest center whose facilities provided by isro
