The space museum here is opened for public and online reservation for visiting the museum is available in VSSC website.. The launching of a sounding rocket (RH 200-Metereological rocket) of length ~4 m is scheduled to open for public every 3rd Wednesday... It will be a nice experience to knowledge hunter...

Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, part of Indian Space Organisation, concentrates on rocket body making. I've done my B Tech degree project here and it's a wonderful place to learn and work!

Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), Thiruvananthapuram, is the lead centre of ISRO responsible for the design and development of launch vehicle technology.
VSSC has integration and checkout facilities located at Valiamala.
Space museum will give us a clear picture of India's space mission's from the beginning stage. Prior booking is needed to visit the VSSC museum.

One of the centers of ISRO, the space research organization of India. This was the first launch center. Note launching only small rockets for atmospheric studies. Located near the sea, campus is beautiful. There is a space museum where people can visit. There are many centers of VSSC located in and around Veli.

It is a centre for the design and development of satellite launch vehicles and associated technologies.The centre pursues research and development in a host of distinct technology domains including aeronautics, avionics, and composites, primarily for the purpose of advancing the development of launch vehicle technology in India.The centre had its beginnings as the Thumba Equatorial Rocket Launching Station (TERLS) in 1962. It was renamed in honour of Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, often regarded as the father of the Indian space program.
