Excellent play enjoyed it. The cast was on it. Unless you were sitting behind a very tall person you could see from most seats. One complaint, I should've been offered one of the chairs on the main floor. I have arthritis in both knees and was uncomfortable. Finally during second intermission I asked an usher if I could move to one of the chairs, she agreed and helped me down the stairs. Thanks Sheila.

Beautiful little theater with friendly staff and good lobby refreshments. They have a full bar and hearty snacks such as nuts and trail mix. They are a staple in the community and do lots of events for local students and those who have an interest in the theater. Tickets are usually reasonably priced between $30 and $60 and they often have specials online or through other websites such as Groupon or Goldstar if you really want to save. It's a small to medium theater so every seat is good. All the plays that I have seen there have been thought provoking and enjoyable.

I like the theater here a lot, all of the seats are good, the front wings are just a little less good. Have seen some excellent productions here all well acted and intimate. Lobby has a small selection of food/drink you can bring in. Trivial fact: John Dillinger was shot dead leaving Manhattan Melodrama here in 1934.

We had such a great time seeing a preview here! The box office staff were very upfront about the state of the preview (some actors weren't completely offbook) and helped everyone find additional tickets to future performances. The show itself was fantastic!

Two theaters on the facility. Upstairs host visiting companies. Downstairs is the Victory Gardens company. Shows have the most diverse casting in the city. Usually entertaining and often thought provoking.

I've been a member of this theater for a couple of years now and I've seen every single production they put on. Without exception, they are phenomenally well-produced. Of course I like some things more than others, but I've absolutely loved a good percentage of what I've seen here. Plus they are always making improvements to their service, their bar area for intermission, Etc.

Infamously known as the place where John Dillinger was killed, it's now a small, intimate theater showing independent plays. I came here with a group of friends to see Mojada, a modern-day take on the Greek tragedy Medea. The set decoration made me feel like I was in Pilsen and the actors played their parts with emotional conviction. I look forward to seeing what else this theater has in store!

The First Deep Breath was an epic performance about family dynamics. Riveting emotions throughout. All acting was excellent but I really liked the Mother's performance.
