Standard pub fayre in a traditional pub setting, situated by the river. Local tip: great fun in the summer to punt up from Cherwell Boat House, have a few Pimm s in the Beer Garden and (try to) punt back.

Best mid afternoon pub there is in oxford. Grab a pint or a cup of coffee and sit outside just to watch the river flow. Far enough that's an event, close enough so as to not be a big deal, perfectly balancing being accesible and secluded.

Awesome environment, decent selection of beers, good food and reasonable pricing. Pick a Saturday afternoon and do yourself the favor to unwind away from the crowded usual oxford shenanigans

Wasn't impressed. Lovely location but not much to be said for the service. Food stopped being served a lot earlier than the website advised. The perch, the trout and Cherwell boathouse are better riverside options for great food and friendlier service.

Very nice beer and great atmosphere, however the small portion sizes are unfortunate (although the food is tasty). Overcrowded during hot summer days. The connecting road is rather awkward for cars, especially when there are dog walkers about - of which there are often a couple.

If you end up coming here, you may want to check out the benches by the water and the adjacent ones across the tiny bridge to the left. These are arguably the best places to go on nice days as you retain some privacy and get to look out over the water.

Great little pub, friendly staff just such a shame this evening was completely spoilt by drunken yobs swearing and shouting outside the entrance, making me feel wary about going inside to wait for my friend, and the fact that they had a local band playing inside, so loudly that it was impossible to hold a conversation. We were surprised that live music was being played in such a small space at such a high volume.
Otherwise a lovely atmosphere and in the summer it's very lively and busy

Arrived for a late Sunday afternoon drink. Served by a very unfriendly bar person who was rude and did not serve us the correct quantity of drink. They were very blunt and abrupt when we complained about this.

Great pub. Good selection of ales and decent pub grub. Fantastic location by the river. Perfect for summer dining or cosy long winter lunches. Only gripe is the food service is quite slow, but staff are always very friendly

The place is excellent. An appetizer of fried potatoes or onion rings stuffed with watching the views is affordable. Eating there depends on your likes and interests, understanding the letter. It seems good to me.
