Staff who aren't trained. Staff who don't care. The whole process is lazy and puts pressure back on victims to sort out. I've sent documents several times only to call back and find they have no recollection of any of it. Even when I've sent things while they're on the phone and call back a few weeks later, same story of the never received it. It's been years and my abuser is now free while we are still trying to pick up the pieces. This service is not something I would recommend to anyone. They genuinely do not care in the slightest.

Victim Services NSW is a difficult entity to seek support through, it is important for victims to establish contact with their approved counselors and inform them about all of the relevant information for the correct support to be granted.

It took 5yrs to receive my payments, but that was due to facs losing my paperwork & it being moved around from one place to another. I've since been waiting since 2017 for my latest claim to be done, they said it won't be done till the end of this year 2019 back in early 2018. I know there are many, many, many cases that need going through.. But there are many, many, many, many victims out there relying on these payments to help them get back on track with their lives.. Needs to be dealt with quicker!

A caring approach to making counselling finacially viable for those in need. Pivotal in recovery, this assistive service has allowed me the option to choose my own counsellor and change as I may wish. Great initiative from the government. Thank you for the great support and commitment to my recovery.

I was put in an awkward situation where I was assaulted twice a claim was made as the perpetrator went to court and found guilty. With the stressful situation I am In and today after 8 months am still in. I had over $8000 worth of damage and became homeless. The perpetrator gets on with his life and I am left still trying to pick up the pieces. Although victims are able to access this service I am sorry to say its absolutely disgusting as now I have a government department screwing with my life and making it harder for me to cope or get on with my life. Come on Victims Services N.S.W seriously get your act together. This has made me feel worse. I give this rating no stars.but had to give it 1 star so I could post my thoughts.

It has nothing to do with Victims, these people are disgusting, took me nerly two years to get money for an operation after being beaten by a group of men, my operation needed to be done within 3 months and its still hasnt been done, they have no health professionals working there and its run by lawyers deciding your health outcome, imagine getting your car fixed by a carpenter. Absolutely woeful. ! The payments are the worst in the country and dont have your interest at heart. Pray you never have to deal with them, they are up there with centrelink as the worst of the worst and will not give you a cent if they can get away with it. Ruined my life financially and emotionally.

They are kinda slow... but it is expected because of the amount of work they will have to do!

Everyone always complains when it comes to money!

But they are trying to help.

I have spoken to Pauline before, and she was wonderful. I have also spoken to a lot of their staff and in the end of the day they were all helpful and kind on the phones.

It's just they have a lot of work to do... and as a victim of crime - we should be more accepting of them.

Thanks

It s been 4 years and my application is going no where, I was robbed and my two brand new Iphone x were stolen worth altogether $4000, the guy pleaded guilty, received 24 months prison non-parole and he must have finished his jail sentence long time ago, however I still haven t received my payment, because they are waiting for my health records from my doctor and My doctor moved to another medical centre and the doctor didn t store my health records properly. So now I am collecting bits and pieces of information so to support my claim. What my medical records has to do with my stolen Iphones ??? I have read a lot of complaints here looks like I will escalate this matter to senior management or to my local MP. This is ridiculous.
