One of the best Italian places, especially in the northern part of town, period. Didn't expect much being in a strip mall, but once inside you'll forget about that. The drinks are terrific but the food is amazing. The only complaint is the seating is a little close to the other tables.

I went to Via Toscana for Happy Hour today. The restaurant was slow and not busy. The hostess seated me in the back across from the bussing station which contained overflowing garbage and dish buckets. I asked to be re-seated and she seemed to take offense. In addition after asking for my drink to be brought the server completely forgot to bring it. As she was invisible most of the time I had to hunt down other servers in the restaurant for assistance for drinks, my check to go, bread for the table, etc... I am black and I got the impression that I wasn t very welcome there by the staff I interacted with. Not sure if that s the case and I hope not. In any event I won t be returning. On a positive the food while lukewarm (server delayed in providing service) was of good quality but service was either lacking, hostile and/or non-existent.

Via Toscana has it all. A great menu, friendly staff and a rustic European atmosphere. We have gone several times, and enjoyed our meal every time. It reminds us of the restaurants in the small tows or the countryside of Italy. They have a very nice wine list also.

You'll find this charming Italian eatery nestled in a strip mall-esque plaza. The first time I came here the restaurant was incredibly busy, and our food was unsatisfactory. I ended up leaving unhappy and feeling like I wouldn't be back again. I received an email a few days later with an apology and a remedy to the situation. When I tell you guys that usually this doesn't happen, I mean this doesn't happen from most restaurants AT ALL. I have given plenty of disappointed reviews (when warranted) and not once has the owner ever tried to fix the situation. This gentleman went out of his way to make sure that I was satisfied with the solution. If that's not superb customer service then I don't know what is. This restaurant cares about the customers and their experience when you dine with them. I will be back for this alone!

Very good food and portion sizes, but the groupon isnt worth $55 for a $115 meal. That $115 number is completely made up, as everything is scaled down to be a single meals worth. It doesnt come with drinks, just two appetizers, sides, main dishes, and desserts. The problem is you re expected to tip on the full amount (they even remind you) so your tip alone is over $20. I d eat there again, but the groupon is a ripoff.

My husband and I ate here for our anniversary earlier this month. We used a Groupon for a 4-course meal. It was definitely worth it. The menu had a great selection of entrees to choose from. We both enjoyed our meal.

A hidden gem! Very delicious Italian food tuck in a commercial plaza. Once you enter the restaurant you'll forget you are in in that commercial plaza. The calamari was good, the cioppino was delicious ( I haven't have one with pasta, but this one had angel hair pasta in it and it was delicious), the bacon wrapped rabbit was okay as it was a little dry, the desserts were also good. Overall, a great Italian place!

Excellent service. The food was superb. We had a four course meal via groupon and EVERYTHING was outstanding. Excellent selection of wines. This was my first time here, but will definitely make a return visit because you can tell they use high quality ingredients, made to order.
Loved it!

Love this place. Each morsel is delectable from the bread, to the buratta, then shrimp risotto, beet gnocchi and then finally the seafood vodka dish and the Bolognese. I crave these bites. This was our second time here using the Groupon and we will definitely be back. Such a romantic place with every exquisite detail accounted for!

Crazy delicious food. Swanky atmosphere. Excellent wine. This is a total winner of a date night.

I had the shrimp and scallop pasta in vodka sauce, and it was some of the best food I've had in a long time.

The portions were just right (or perhaps a little big, which is perfect). We took home a bit of dessert and probably should have not eaten all of the main course, but I couldn't stop.

It's a little too pricey for me to eat there regularly, but I would totally go back for a special occasion.

It is a warm restaurant, for dining with the family, good food and good service. Expensive prices but food is worth what you pay for it. Good taste, very pleasant atmosphere to share with family or friends.

Very nice decor and atmosphere. The wait wasn't too bad on a Friday night even though the place was pretty full around 7pm. They have a coat check. The free bread is soft and delicious. Nice wine list. The Zuppa Ribollita was hearty. We had the Lasagne Bolognese and Scampi Toscana for dinner and both were delicious and good portions. They also have a gluten free menu. Our server was friendly and prompt and they have a separate water person they keeps you filled up. They have some TVs there but so not to intrude and the bar and bathrooms were very nice. Can feel the love here.

We went early for happy hour and sampled 6 dishes. Most were very good, including the salads. We also tried different wines and cocktails. All were very good and priced well for happy hour. The service was just ok, so we can only give 4 stars.

We ordered take out last night and it was delicious as usual. We had the Taleggio pizza which was simple but so interesting with the different types of cheese, sliced apples and crispy prosciutto. A nice balance of ingredients and super yummy crust! The kids had a cheese pizza with sausage and when asked how many thumbs up, my son gave it "10 fingers up"! We also had the parpadelle bolognese, a dish that has been my favorite for years, savory sauce and pieces of beef that fall apart with your fork. To top it off a bottle of wine to go! Thank you Sean and staff for being open and offering curbside pick up during this time.

Delicious food! Some staff was a little unfriendly, but overall, it was a decent experience. Use the Groupons when you see them! As good as it is, it is not worth the full price. The building itself feels a little run down, and small details make it feel cheap (paper table cloths, really?), but the food is good.

Disappointed after reading all the great reviews. We went for happy hour, which is only available in the bar. There was only the bartender, who was swamped, so service was slow. We ordered 5 small plates, and they were SMALL. The asparagus had 5 spears of asparagus for $4. A $7 manicotti was one tube of manicotti. We had to order more food because we were still hungry. The food was good, but not spectacular. Happy hour ended up being $60 because of the quantity of small plates we had to order. Perhaps their regular menu is a better value.

Entrance was clean, nice and fresh. Service was fast and efficient. I ordered the small cheese pizza and a Sprite. The Sprite was outstanding, syrup was great! Pizza was just as good as when I was in Italy and ordered a pizza there. Eating space was small didn't mind that. The cushions weren't to cozy. But I still going to give this place a 5-star for it's AMAZING food. I would give it a 6-star!!

I was pleasantly surprised since this was tucked away in a strip mall, but the warm and detailed interior quickly made me forget about that. Our server was top-notch, and the food selections were varied for Italian.

And the beer list was out of this world! I expected a few choices; Via Toscana more than caters to the local beer scene. IPAs, Belgians, Sours, .... on and on.

There are a number of separated rooms; great for parties and events. And plenty of parking, unlike the 'downtown' areas...

The food was hot and quite good. We had a great time and highly recommend it!

Really delicious authentic Italian in a warm cozy atmosphere. Jim gave excellent service. It s wonderful to find this beautiful interior that is quiet even when busy, inviting you to enjoy food And conversation. Beautiful food presentation and tastes! The cauliflower soup was outstanding and unique, loved the traditional lasagna and saltimboca, and divine perfectly balanced tiramisu that wasnt drowning in syrup.

This place is great! Cosy, great atmosphere, interesting decor, awesome food and service. We ve only been in the area a month and already been back for repeats visits. We moved over from London where we were used to getting great Italian food, so it s so awesome to know we have a neighbourhood gem serving amazing Italian food. So happy!

Very nice italian for a very reasonable price. Very nice staff. In my cesar salad there was, what we all deemed to be the metal pointy part of a thumb tack, but once we told management, they quickly tried to locate the source of it, to no avail. But they did end up compensating us with some very nice desert. Overall good experience, nice staff, good at handling a customers questions and concerns.

I love the food.

I love the food.
If this review were only based on food, it would be 5 stars easily.
But, that said, the service is subpar for fine dining. 2 happy hour trips were just ok. The service was a little harried, and uninvested. The real problem was when using a Groupon. As per the instructions, I made a reservation ahead of time. I stated that it was a Groupon, and that it was a Birthday. All noted at the time of the reservation. On arrival, they were unaware it was a Groupon and sat us with normal menus. When I prompted the server that I was using a Groupon, the attitude IMMEDIATELY changed to a much chillier presentation. I became an afterthought, and it was clear my experience was no longer a concern. I understand that some people may not tip on the full cost of the meal, and only on the paid portion. But to assume that I would also do so and serve accordingly left a bad taste to my unremembered birthday dinner. I don't anticipate returning any time soon.

Went for restaurant week on the first day. Greeted promptly and very warmly by the hostess. Server took quite a while to initiate a greeting but after that was pretty good. I had a wild mushroom soup which was absolutely the best! The next dish was a butternut gnocchi w/brn butter & almonds and was quite filling but great flavor. Main dish was a wild mushroom risotto w/ scallops. Risotto was very good but try it with shrimp or on its own. My idea didn't work so good. Finally, I had the most incredible chocolate mouse. Oh lord it was the richest best dessert. Don't miss out on this type experience.

Came here with a groupon- $55 for a two person- 4 course meal. Absolutely hell of a deal!

This is truly an upscale restaurant when it comes to quality of food, service, and decor.

I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of food as each course was served to our table.

I will definitely be coming back

I've been here several times before and always thought their food was delicious. This last visit something was just off with their soup, and dinners. I sent mine back. My husband got lamb chops and he didn't think they were very good or the creamy kale and creamy potatoes. We'd try them again, maybe new cooks or something.

Great food. 4 courses...plenty! I felt our waitress was not very engaged. Friendly, but that's it. I told her it's our anniversary, she didn't ask how many years, etc. Oh well. Still good and will recommend

There is many to claim to be Italian...in most cases, they are not. Tiramisu is a joke and no-one in Italy would eat their offering, Via Toscana is not perfect but quite closer... smaller selection of menu speaks for work they put into the dish creation and they are good... Tiramisu...yes you can actually call this dessert it's name, again, not perfect but as close as you can get in the neighborhood without spending couple hours of your time to create one... go and try.
