I was transfered here from the VA to see a neurologist. I'm 35 and just had a stroke. Since it was over the weekend I couldn't be seen till Monday. Thats normal from what I was told. ER nurses and ER Dr's were helpful. A ER person even came over to ask about my time spent in the ER.There were 2 teams of 4 Dr's. One had my neurologist. Neither team came in at the same time and they both were started off by telling me something different.
I was transfered from the ER to a room upstairs. I had an ECO scheduled at midnight the night I was transfered from the VA. While my stay upstairs I saw the same teams of 4 but never together. Again I was being told 2 different things. Two days after I was transfered I was getting discharged. Still haven't had my ECO. I got my ECO as i was getting read my discharged. My neurologist Dr.Cruz told my wife, my mom, and myself numerous times I could not drive and not to go back to work till I followed up with him and had another MRI. My discharge paperwork did not have any diagnosis any limitations and stated I could go back to work. I called Dr.Cruz's office for them to get me correct discharge paperwork. I got a letter instead that gave me my limitations and said a stroke. Not discharge paperwork but a letter with 2 sentences. I then need my short term disability paperwork filled out by Dr.Cruz. I am set to be off work for over a month from discharge. Got his portion back stating that i could go back to work whenever with limited restrictions. Also stated that i couldn't do any heavy lifting and that it would take 2-3 months till i would recovery. My job requires heavy lifting and we told Dr.Cruz this numerous times. I took that paperwork into Dr.Cruz's office to get it fixed and asked his nurse if she called my physical therapy to check on my progress and she said thats not her job. She also told me that Dr.Cruz never told me I couldn't drive.
Over all my experience with the Dr.Cruz and his office has been horrible. Making the patient feel like their the nieusance. Communication between him and his team are horrible. You get told one thing but the paper work shows up different. If I am to follow this Dr's professional and educated opinion on my STROKE then I'd probably have another stroke very close. Dr didn't seem to care nor did the his office. Seemed like another rich Dr that liked to pass the buck. My dad retired from here over 10 years ago and said this hospital has gotten way worse and he apologized for recommending it. Thats saying something.

Not the same hospital it used to be! Dirty, staff not concerned at all! Hours there waiting, multiple tests and no resolution. Issues not resolved. Sad to see what was a great hospital go bad so quickly since Ascension took over..

Had a 4 day stay here for surgery and I can't say enough about the care and service I received. I transferred in from another town and they had my room waiting and nestled me in there quickly and as painlessly as possible. I had visits and introductions each shift change which was nice. I had surgery on day 2 and it could not have gone better. My surgeon Dr Grantham explained the surgery extensively to my son after, and to me later as I came out of anesthesia. My care was stellar from minute in to last contact (a sweet lady Wheeled me to my car, has worked there 40 years!) I could not be happier. One tip, the food was very tasty, (vegetarians, they have a garden burger!) But takes 45 minutes at least. Order ahead of your normal meal time. Father Green, thanks for the visit.

What a waste of a week in this hospital! My mother was admitted with swelling in upper body. After many tests & biopsy & scope and blood drawn they found nothing! They spent all the week looking for cancer & found none! What a waste of time & money. I am so disappointed in the medical doctors & pharma!

I ve been in the hospital for almost a week, and Ms. Pashalynn Howard has truly made an exceptional difference in my care. She says constantly, I m just a housekeeper , but this housekeeper has gone above and beyond. She got permission from her supervisor to sit with me and comfort me for almost 30 minutes. She took that time out of her day to speak with me, encourage me, and pray over me. I was moved to tears by how much she cares for her patients. Ms. Pasha has seen me twice since we met, and said she will be visiting with me again. My faith has been non existent for almost 10 years, and for the last 6 months I have considered returning. She has moved me in a way that is otherworldly. She is becoming like a sister to me, and I truly have never been more thankful. This woman has gone through so much, but comes in every day with a smile on her face and treats me like family. She cares for these patients. The way they motivate her is incredible. Her strength and love show in all that she does. I feel truly blessed to have been transferred to this hospital to meet her. These patients are lucky to have a woman who cares for them. Even if she s just a housekeeper , her affect on people is so much more. This hospital would truly be at a loss if she were to ever leave. These patients are so thankful for all that she does. I know I am. Ms. Pasha left me a bible with her number, and I hope to message her in the future concerning questions and guidance with my faith. I ve never been offered such a personal thing from an individual before. St. Francis is truly a blessed facility to have her. She deserves the highest level of recognition for how much passion she has for her people and how much she puts in every day.
Ms. Pasha, if you see this, thank you for truly changing my experience for the better. You re an incredible individual and I feel truly blessed to have met you. Your drive and passion show in all that you do around this hospital. Thank you a million times over.

Super long wait time, no one seems to be in any urgency to do anything, waited almost 4hrs asked how much longer was told 2 people were ahead of us and to expect to wait another 3-4 more hours, so that's a 6-8+ hour wait time. But if that wasn't bad enough right, the only time I saw anyone wipe or clean anything was when a guy waiting there longer then us looked like he had a seizure on the ground and threw up, which again the staff showed no urgency to help the poor guy laying on the ground and the cleaning staff took longer to take care of the mess then you would think especially during these covid times. I was very insecure about touching anything there. In the end we decided to leave and go to another ER.

I had been hospitalized for 38 days for Covid-19, from January 18, to February 24, 2021 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka Kansas.
I was transferred to Select Speciality St Francis where I received rehab until my release on March 17, 2021. The care I received from Select was outstanding!! All members of my care team from the doctors to the janitorial staff were professional, kind and attentive. My needs were met promptly and I have nothing to say except the staff I was in contact with were beyond excellent!! I owe these kind caring people more than I can ever express; they always offed me encouragement and treated me as if I was one of their own family members. God bless you all you helped me get my life back and for this I will be eternally grateful you are all hero's and I thank you!!

Went in for an extensive heart procedure. I cannot speak highly enough about the friendliness and professionalism of the staff at St. Francis. I interacted with many nurses and staff members while there. From check-in, to preparation, to the operating room staff, to the recovery room staff, to return to room staff. Very friendly and very professional from check-in to check-out. They all handled a very humbling experience with 5 star professional service! Thank you all!

My experience overall was great. Dr. Chang and his residents were very nice, attentive, and knowledgeable on what was wrong with me and cared to find the resolution. The only reason I am not giving my ER visit 5 stars is because of the nurse. She was condescending and passive aggressive. Other than that, happy with the care I received and would definitely go back again if I need to.
