Beautiful building down at the ground level. If you go upstairs to the dorms however it is a dump. The bathrooms were filthy, and the rooms were just filled with as many beds as they could possibly stuff into them. It was in the winter when I found myself homeless, it was cold outdoors, but I left the place and opted to live out of my car.

Give them a call and ask how many veterans they re housing right now. About a week ago it was ten & now it s zero. One of them is a Vietnam vet in the early stages of Alzheimer s. They kicked them out on the streets with no warning. I can t believe places like this receive donations. They only care about profit.

They have been there to help both myself and my wife who are both veterans. It is great organiation and they hold the standdown in June which coordinates volunteers and companies who support veterans into one of the greatest days of the year. We are both eternally grateful for their support.

I dont know why Vincent Perrone and Denis Leary decided to shift focus from actually caring about veterans to program expansion and profits. As a disabled Veteran with a medically required Service-dog(Marley-Doo) I never imagined being discriminated agianst due to a disability. Imagine the horror and trauma of being neglected and rejected from your veteran family when your biological family moved away or died ? Alone during the holidays and struggling not to become another statistic to suicide, crime and homelessness....shame on them.

After a tour of duty at Soldier On (Leeds) and Court St. (Boston) I can say, with conviction, that Veterans Inc. is the cream of the crop. Ownership and staff are highly approachable with any concerns whether it be housing, addiction or a busted toilet seat. Be mindful that the Grove St. property has 90+ gentlemen with 90 personalities and all sorts of individual problems. Veterans Inc. has multiple properties throughout New England and two others in Worcester and Shrewsbury. These are quite drama-less and can afford you a more private setting.

This place does not help all veterans they promote favoritism and most of the staff don't care and have no military background whatsoever! My laptop, clothes, shoes and meds were stolen. I caught the individual and he punched me for confronting him and I was kicked out for trying to get my things back and defending myyself.
