Beautiful. Words are not enough to describe this place. You really have to visit to understand. The people all speak English and are very friendly. Don't come to Venice and not go here! If you want to do any of the tours then he ready to pay and wait in line.
Marvelous, amazing, lively place. Tourists all around. Crowded. Shops and eateries nearby. Scenic. Photo point. Mesmerizing. Must vitis.
Piazza San Marco as they call this place in Venice is the biggest public square in Venice and one of the most beautiful I have visited. Its really beautiful and magnificent architecture. There are several museums and attractions in and around the square , one of the most famous is the St. Mark's Basilica and the other one is Doge's Palace. The best way to get to the plaza is by water transport. If you walk from the railway station it takes at least an hour. A lot of people gather here, there's restaurants, cafe's, bars and even have live music when the weather is warm.
I visited Piazza San Marco September 2020 during the pandemic. It was quite, not a lot of tourist but a few things were not open, like the tour to the San Marco cathedral.
Nice weather, it rained for a bit during the day but nothing major that could ruin the trip. Totally recommend to go during this time of the year.
Beautiful place for outing and honeymoon.one of the best places on earth that I have seen
The main attraction of Venice. The visit is never complete till you spend couple of hours in this historic square. The square is named after the breathtaking and unique Basilica San Marco that is located on the east end of the square.
A simple and total must when in Venice. Especially when flooded as it's kind of one of the signature sights of Venice. Plenty of little shops, bars and restaurants around the square and surrounding streets. Plenty of photography vantage points to capture daily and tourist life in the square itself as well as plenty of basilica, tower and lagoon vantage spots
So beautiful that words just can't describe how truly breathtaking it really is. You have to go see it for yourself to appreciate its beauty.
There's no other place on our Lovely Planet that is like Venice. Please walk everywhere, and yes, there's no cars! It does smell funny during some times of the year or if it just rained. Getting lost and finding your way around is part of it! Enjoy it to the M@X!
