Great for desert, they have an amazing desert menu.
a great place to pop into for a great seafood and a great ambiance and the staff is wonderful. this place does not disappoint.
I cant understand why so many people dislike this place, I read the reviews and decided to try it for myself, it was really good, both the service and the quality of the dishes was up to my standard.
Delicious food and a cozy atmosphere. Fits everyone, whether bar, restaurant or just a quick snack.
Worst service experience I ve ever experienced in NYC, born and raised. My cousin ordered and when I started my order the waiter walked away. Worst place ever.
Best lunch special on the block. You get a tall beer, bowl of soup, and half a panini sandwich. As well as bread and oil, of course. All for $15. Good deal for a generally expensive neighborhood.
Small very nice environment. Water wasn't refilled on a hot day. The food 45 minutes to come. Ordered eggs , burger and fries, and the place was not packed. What's the worst is that the burger and bun came burnt. Why would they serve that? And when we said it's burnt, the waitress looked at us like we had three heads. When we asked for a new burger , it came but nothing special. The waitress gave us a check without us asking for it. Impolite.
If you want to get a drink and maybe oysters , however anything else is not ok.
We ordered seafood pasta - it's amazing! A huge portion and very tasty. Cooked for about 25 minutes. The cost is $ 19. Also tasty beer and shots. Beer $ 8. Very nice music. Good-natured, cheerful staff. I really liked it!
Cozy, after work bar. Food just OK and overpriced.
I'll pay my compliments first. The happy hour drink specials are decently priced, and like I said, it's a cozy spot. Doesn't really attract the crowds and noise that a lot of happy hour bars have - could be plus or minus depending on what you like.
My main problem was the food. Truffle fries were good. But calamari was so so and their sliders, while pretty good, are $16 for 3 extra tiny burgers. Felt like a rip off. Beer prices are also a little high out of happy hour, but I don't think it's so different from other bars.
great location but definitely a tourist haunt. bartender took nearly 20 min to prepare a mojito for our table as he was busy chatting up a patron at the bar. house wine is better than most. food isnt terrible, but with so many other great options in the area, definitely not worth ordering. disappointing experience. deserves 3 stars because our server was pleasant and kind.
The bartender is rude and very slow. Literally doesn't know how to bartend. It's a Friday night and the establishment was not prepared.
Liked the roasted chicken. Lots of healthy food options.
Awesome neighborhood, great service. Just a casual bar with nice people all around.
I was a little doubtful at first, but the decor was very romantic and traditional for Italian restaurant. And the service is very attentive and professional.
Food was beyond extraordinary!
Very recommendable establishment!
Enjoy:)
Great Italian menu with a twist! Fantastic atmosphere. Great for couples and small parties. Great chef, I recommend this one 100%
Clean, fast and fresh. Hit up this place early morning before roadtrips and the hazelnut coffee is perfect as usual.
Parking lot is a huge plus!
Place is cute, but the food below average and pricy.
Great menu and wonderful staff. Very personable with a welcoming intimate setting. Great place to grab a bite or drink by yourself or in a small group.
I gave the wrong review the first time around. It was meant for another establishment. Vbar is totally unimpressive. Sorry, but that's the God honest truth
We had the gnocchi and the lamb chops. Both were superb. I like malty beers and my wife likes ciders. Vbar Seaport had both and were also suberb. The owner took time to make recommendations and a warm personal welcome. The interior is romatic and cozy, like a UK pub. My wife and I had a great time tonight. Thank you.
Drinks are yummy. It looks like grandma's house. Very boring vibe. Drinks are hella expensive but also hella good.
Excellent brunch spot, wasn't too packed in an otherwise busy area. Mimosas weren't overly expensive, and had a perfect ratio of champagne to juice. We got excellent people-watching seats near the window. The waitress wasn't the friendliest, or this would have been a 5-star review
It's an alright brunch place. Not the greatest, but still cool place to meet with friends. Not sure about night light since night life might be a lot more better
Really good food and a cozy place. They have the best deserts here, great to be here with a glass of red wine on a stormy day.
Great location and a cozy place. Amazing food. Food quality is top notch. Would have given a 5 star if not for a super snail paced service. Servers are friendly but either they have very few of them or kitchen is so slow. But very happy with their food quality... Great pasta dishes.
Decent food and cozy atmosphere. Good burgers and cocktail menu. You can usually walk in and grab a table here.
A very nice place in the seaport. Cozy. The beer selection is good take a very well prepared salmon. Very good option.
Amazing place to spend some heartfelt moment next but not so much to the crowdy Manhattan lifestyle! Excellent wine selection and tasty food. Would love to come back
Amazing food and incredibly wonderful people working here. Had the octopus salad and the mac and cheese which were fantastic, and the clams were divine. The cucumber martini was the best I might ever have had. All this combined with Italian owners who makes you feel like you're family and it's a winning combination. Hope it stay around for a while.
A classy place with decent food and a good selection of beers. Stopped for some lunch and found this to be a nice spot. Only minor complaints was with the omlette - it was tough and cold! Problem was quickly sorted though! The rest of the food was really nice.
I rank this restaurant around a 3.5 We (2 of us) arrived on a Sunday evening around 4:45, 2 other couples and a party of 10 were in the restaurant. Nice atmosphere but because of the party of 10, I wish the restaurant would ve turned Down the music because it got pretty loud until the party left. You pick your own seat, no wait. The service, on a scale from 1 to 5, was definitely a 3; slow but the staff was very nice. Appetizers: The bread, calamari, and fish with French Fries were hot and good. Entree s: Grilled Salmon was good, the Sea Bass was good but you have to watch out for the bones; both were nice a warm as well as the mashed potatoes. The steamed spinach was a bit tough to chew for some reason and it was luke warm. Dessert: The Bread Pudding was delicious, hot and fresh. Drinks: we had 3 Diet Coke s each, no free refills. Portions of each dish were very reasonable.
Terrible service. Went in for brunch on a quiet Sunday in May. Waited an hour for our food to show up. It never did. Like never. The waitress avoided dealing with our table and pretended nothing was wrong until we dropped cash to pay for our drinks so we could go somewhere that knew how to feed their customers.
Not worth the try. There are six better restaurants with better prices literally next door and across the street.
Truly and authentic Italian restaurant, this place is simply delicious. The environment is also really nice, very romantic.
I live in the seaport neighborhood and decided to give this place a second try after a year of receiving mediocre food. The place is empty, which is expected for January service but also always a bad sign. The service is terrible, just like More
The fish was amazing! I would also recommend the panna cotta for dessert.
BEWARE... came here on 6/29 and after eating with a friend I noticed something running around on the floor and to my surprise there were multiple MICE running around. My friend and I were instantly disgusted and told the waitress and she was not at all surprised, it was as if she knew all about the mice in the restaurant. There were other customers that noticed the mice and complained about it to the waitress as well. We told the waitress to get us our bills so we could cash out because we felt so disgusted after eating there, all we wanted to do was leave. I can t believe they continue serving food to the public, knowing they have a mice problem in the building. The waitress even said, I know it s disgusting, sorry.
Not touristy but situated at a touristy area. I had a basic panini with pesto and mozzarella and it was delicious. This place is unassuming but offers wonderful dishes.
Salad here is crazy good!! My steak was cooked perfect, and it was so soft you could cut it with a fork.
Great food. Quaint upstairs room for private parties.
Amazing! Not the first time in NY city but the first time in this place:) delicious food, atmosphere and great team work!
Hope to see you soon guys! You're awesome!:) with love from Ukrainian customers:)
Great food! Owners are really nice! Love the tables by the window! Have the octopus!
Nice day, Nice Restaurant, Nice Staff and sure, Nice food.
The first time in NY. The face of South Seaport.
Make sure to double check your bill. I will never be back. The server changed what we left for a tip and added 30 dollars more for himself, despite what my signed copy said. When I approached the manager on it he danced around the issue like he had done nothing wrong. Stay away and do not come here or keep every receipt they give you.
We got to the restaurant about 7:30 in the evening on a Friday evening and the place was less than half full. We sat down and water was brought over. We then waited for about 10 minutes for our drink order to be taken. A waitress came by to take our drink order and during the process she asked us if anyone told us that there were a few things on the menu that they were already out of. We were surprised that they were out of items considering how early it was. After she took our drink order, we waited for maybe another 10 or 15 minutes before our drinks were delivered to our table but they were delicious!
A gentleman came by and asked us if we were going to order food and we said yes, so he took the order. The appetizer (fried pickles) came out pretty quickly which was good because we were starving (it's now after 8 pm) and they were very yummy. We ordered another round of drinks which arrived just before our meals showed up (around 8:35 pm).
Our buns on our burgers were both burned (we tried to scrape off the burnt part but there was just too much to scrape). The meat was overcooked and mine was so dry from being overcooked that the patty broke in half. We each only took 2 bites and honestly just couldn't eat them because they were terrible. Our waitress stopped by and asked about our meal. We showed her the burgers and the buns and she was shocked because she said they are kind of known for their burgers. She went and talked to the kitchen and she came back and said that they said that they didn't burn anything but clearly we had the evidence. She told us not to worry, we wouldn't have to pay for the burgers. She also offered for the kitchen to cook another round but we declined. We sat for probably another 15 minutes and then our waitress was gone...she had actually left the restaurant so we had to go ask one of the other wait staff to get our check.
We will go back for drinks but I don't know if we will try to eat there again. We appreciate the fact that the restaurant didn't charge us for the food we couldn't eat but they need to work on getting more reliable service to accommodate everyone in there. There was a a lot of tables waiting quite some time to get food, drinks, water, etc.
Great food! We were upstairs for a party but the rest of the venue looked great as well.
A variety of good wines, excellent coffee and cool music
Great service!!!professional staff. Next year when I visit NY come back again 100%!recomended
Cozy bar and dining area downstairs with great beer, wine, cocktails and food. Event space available upstairs. One of my go- to spots for drinks after work.
