No response on claim report - Deviating storage conditions We moved with Vanpac from Singapore to the Philippines. Before departure we had our moving goods stored in an air-conditioned storage for several months. On advice of Vanpac we paid significant extra amounts for storage in Singapore instead of storage in Manila. Vanpac claimed to be able to control the storage conditions in Singapore, not so in Manila. On arrival of the goods in the Philippines some of the boxes looked seriously impacted. On opening the boxes shoes showed impact of delimitation, some branded bags and clothes discolored. Three cabinets were seriously dented by poor handling during transportation. We took photos of the damaged items and filed a claim report to both Vanpac and the local moving company. The local moving company acknowledged the claim but kept on referring to Vanpac as the responsible side. We sent the claim report first to our main contacts at Vanpac in Singapore. There was no response. We then sent the report to the General Manager. Again no response at all. Phone calls were not answered, the former contacts can no longer be reached. We had several follow up emails with Vanpac which were again completely ignored. The local moving company tries to connect, also from there no response. We have moved 10 times across continents in the past 20 years. Whenever there was a little problem it was solved professionally within a few days. What we experienced with Vanpac, the arrogance to simply ignore a claim report is unique. Even personal emails to the General Manager of the companies were simply ignored. We paid for air-conditioned storage, the condition of the items when they arrived showed clear signs that our goods were not stored in air conditioned environment as it was agreed. Also handling during transportation was poor and with no care for our personal belongings. We clearly recommend NOT to trust Vanpac your personal belongings. You will find more responsible and better moving companies in Singapore.
