Went Monday for an anatomy scan at 17 weeks. I was happy, excited, and polite and the lady who performed the ultrasound was incredibly rude.
I wondered if it was just me reading too much into then when she left to go get the photos I asked my husband and he was agreed and we were both trying to figure out what her problem was.
I told her I had fears of microcephaly and head size and she said "Well some babies are born without brains so..."
I would ask her questions about what she was seeing and if I could move because I was in an uncomfortable position and she would just flat out ignore me. This happened several times.
Then today I get my results back through my patient portal and everything is normal thank God.... but there was a little message at the bottom that I'm viewing as passive aggressive and annoying that said "patient was asked to wait until 20 weeks but she came anyways"
So I'm wondering what on earth that was about. I was told by my midwife and the person who set up my appointment itd be best to wait until 20 weeks so everything would be visible however my sister is giving birth in Chicago in April and my flight was scheduled to leave today (the day after the ultrasound) in March and I won't be back for a over a month. My midwife suggested I go in at 17 weeks anyway to see what things they could see and then figure the rest out when I come back. I also told the person setting up my appointment this. He said he would tell the ultrasound technician and they'd call me if they felt it'd be better to wait altogether or come in now but he still set up the appointment. I never received that call so I showed up to my appointment. So no. I was not told by them to wait. I was told they'd call and let me know what to do in light of my current schedule.
So to summarize this place was a pretty awful experience for me. I'd say if you have the option go anywhere else for your ultrasound. I'm very annoyed and disappointed with this place and if that ultrasound technician is so miserable that she has to be a jerk to patients she needs to find a different job.

This was the Fishers landing location
