Van der Valk Hotel Volendam Review

We have had a great wedding here. Well arranged with a beautiful inner garden.

As always great ... we are no different from van der Valk ....

Rooms are fine. At long stay they try to skimp on fresh bedding every day, but that is solved with 1 phone call.

Food quality has been better. Steak with lots of tendons and risotto / sea bass heavily over cooked and without flavor. Perhaps startup problems after the C19 shutdown.

- Nice restaurant. - Tasty appetizer, this was a platter with different types of fish. - Main course moderate, the wiener schnitzel was a bit soggy, tournedos very coarse. Potatoes did not have a tasty taste (may of course vary per person). Tasty apple compote and vegetables. Old-fashioned tasty! - Operation very friendly, helpful and fast.

Very good hotel, great breakfast, great service, only the gastronomic customs are strange, such as filling the wrong gin back into the bottle or putting the ice cubes into the glasses by hand

Review only of the restaurant. Here we ate delicious fish "catch of the day". Value for money and friendly service.

Good hotel, good breakfast only one minus point if you are an hour early you do not send people away until there is a queue but you can also register and say that you can be in the room in an hour.

Hotel located in a quiet and pleasant location. Very comfortable, spacious and spotlessly clean room. Rich and varied buffet breakfast. We will be back with pleasure.

Bad beds and too little distance from the guests at breakfast

Yesterday I had a family buffet at Vd valk in Volendam.
Food was very good and more than adequate.
Perfectly arranged also for the grandchildren aged 2.5 and 4.5 for whom guidance was provided so that they did not have to sit in their seats.
It is a pity that they will stop this by July, would like to use it more often.
I hope that Volendam will consider this again or that something else will replace it.

Very convenient. In 20 minutes in the middle of Amsterdam. Volendam is within walking distance. Great breakfast, very good service (bike, ...)

Great hotel for the price. Properly is slightly dated but absolutely clean and part of a large complex. Rooms are spacious and bed is very comfortable. Staff are very friendly and relaxed. Windows and walls are a bit thin so noise is easily heard. Volendam is close by and well worth going to.

The breakfast was a bit small for van der valk concepts, but was sufficient. Had luxury room 221, but was certainly neat and tidy, but not special ... On the balcony you could go along ALL hotel rooms without any obstacle in that corridor, there is no fence or glass part in between. Bit strange .... Furthermore, absolutely everything to your liking, but a few points for improvement in my experience ...

Attic room 309 couldn't be darkened properly, light directly in the face. Prices on the notice are lower than on the invoice (house wine). Breakfast costs 15 on site, at booking. Com 17.

Have been coming there for many years with the children and now with the grandchildren excellent restaurant very nice staff and the food was very good The children can just walk so not sit with pinched buttocks

We are welcomed by Monique at the reception and are helped enormously in a nice Hotel 5 minutes from Volendam

Nice hotel, only rooms are old-fashioned. Bathrooms are modern and neat.
Food is good and wbt staff also friendly.
Minus point is the gym, a bit too noisy and especially when you are above it. So room 141 etc so be warned !!!

Previously always good food, last time I was there I was not asked how I wanted my tournedo baked I got it almost raw. Then what asked the manager added I got the same half-open sliced tournedo again baked on my plate.

I had my wedding party at the van der valk Volendam. The room was amazing and all the guests complimented the service. I was extremely satisfied with everything and would highly recommend this hotel.

Sunday brunch eaten at Van der Valk. Good food, but not sophisticated. Lots of fish and meat, but unfortunately little attention for vegetables and salads. Good service. Nice place to eat with small children, also for them a lot of choice and places to play.

Excellent property, very nice staff with bar, restaurant, pool, sauna and fitness room. Ideal hotel to relax and unwind, just a few kilometers from the center of Amsterdam where you can take a boat trip on the canals and visit the flower market.
Ideal location to discover the northern part of Holland.

We, my girlfriend and I, had left the men at home and we enjoyed it very much.
The hotel met our taste very well. The beds were great and so was the breakfast. A wide choice of everything and also more than sufficient. We have dinner every evening and here it is also delicious. Am starter to dessert, great! Kudos to the cook. Recommended! We will definitely be back.

Nice hotel just a pity that you have to come to the swimming pool through the gym and that you still have to pay for steam bath and sauna.

Delicious eaten. Sunday evening buffet for 30.- per person including drinks. Stir-frying and grilling all possible + dessert and coffee.
Recommended.

Top hotel! Great food, pricey but quality is great! Staff is nice and pleasant and very helpful! Room (suite) is really great! And good facilities. Only the television connection is moderate .. Sometimes falls away. But that should not spoil the fun, right? ;)

Usually very good to eat. Except tonight. Twice they have not succeeded in presenting a calf's liver that was edible. As a result, a disillusioned, spoiled evening. Because a nice dinner with a friend has been lost. Apologies, but from some compensation, no way. Still no coffee. They even calculated the mayonnaise for a meal that was not enjoyed. Apparently van der Valk, where we regularly visit, is exclusively focused on turnover without paying attention to the product to be delivered. Unfortunately. That things can go wrong, that is possible. But solve it professionally, because this is just a lost evening.

Very nice hotel, easily accessible from Amsterdam station. Spacious room and nice bathroom. Breakfast was very good with enough choice.

I quite liked it. Spacious rooms and very nice views. They have bike rentals, I recommend you rent them. There are several old cities near the hotel that are amazing. In addition to the fact that the area has great bike lanes.

Entrance poorly accessible for mobility scooter, very small space to make the turn through the revolving door. Situation can be dangerous due to the presence of stairs nearby.
Staff were helpful but not really understanding. Service was good.

It's pretty easy to get a bus to Amsterdam. The hotel is very comfortable with great room decorantion and it's the best price guaranteed.

Tasty cappucino in the bar. Nice for a chat with a girlfriend. The menu also looked good.
