Van der Valk Hotel Spier-Dwingeloo Review

Nice appearance very friendly staff. We have been able to consult in a friendly manner.

Dissapointing. Got little. Small piece of fish and a small schnitzel and a kind of vegetable and no raw food. Found it too expensive.

Always reasonable quality, great bulk food for a slightly too high price, but you can never really complain about it.
Eating at van der Valk is a choice, you know what you get, you are never surprised by anything special.
Staff remains tidy, runs fast for guests, but does not stand out in terms of class either.
All in all, van der Valk is always worth 3 stars!

The hotel is in a beautiful place. Many hiking options. Delicious breakfast and good food. The room was fine, the bathroom needs renovation. The shower cubicle was not fresh, dirty mold at the bottom of the door in the rubbers. The joints also need a scrub turn. This is the reason that I give 4 stars. The bathroom is certainly not worthy of Valk.

The hotel is located on the A26 and is approximately 9 km from the center of Dwingeloo and approximately 5 km. van Wijster. The complex consists of a main building with a reception, restaurant, meeting rooms and a number of wings with the rooms. Here we have a room of about 20 m2 with a bathroom of about 10 m2. The facility consists of a 2-pers. wide bed, 2 armchairs with coffee table, a desk with storage space + fridge, a wardrobe with make-up seat and a suitcase boy. The bathroom has a bath and shower, sink, toilet and plenty of storage space. Furthermore, air conditioning, carpet, free parking, wifi and safe. Lighting in the room sufficient, but insufficient in the bathroom.
Breakfast and dinner: both good.
Our conclusion: Overall impression is good for the general areas, however the rooms need renovation.

Poor control. Delicious mussels food, but still had to wait 10 minutes for accompanying sauces. Also have to ask three times. Also clearing the table took an extremely long time. We also had to ask for that. Have fallen 2 stars compared to last year.

Quality of the dishes was excellent, service was unfortunately not flawless. (Lunch for 19 people)

We regularly come to hotels especially at AC now we were at vdValk for the first time and that is a world of difference because AC can't even be in the shade. The breakfast is almost the same as the brunch at AC and all that for a price that you will come back soon. The rooms were also many times more luxurious with coffee and tea equipment, a safe, a fridge, air conditioning, etc. All in all, a must of the first category

An average place to stay that is within easy each of Schiphol airport. It has a large and friendly reception area and the rooms are clean and tidy.

What a beautiful location. You would book it just for the view from the pool.
And the family room was something beyond our wildest dreams, each cot had its own TV !!

After walking we just wanted to have a drink, but after having to wait a long time just for a drink and the menu, we left the rest behind. All in all a dated hotel with dated service ...

Nice hotel with air-conditioned rooms. Breakfast was very rich. Dinner was delicious, but not cheap! Only downside possibly, the hotel is right on the highway.

The rooms are facing the road which causes a lot of noise. Of course you can close the window, but the heating was broken and I literally slept in an oven. In the morning the technical department only came to look at this, which took a very long time. After that I could only sleep for an hour and then had to check out again. Upon arrival, the room also smelled of smoke and the phone did not state which number the reception was so I had to walk downstairs in the night to report this. I did not receive any compensation for the poor maintenance of the room. I find that very unfortunate, something not in order can happen but treat your customer at least nicely ..

With a dog you are no longer welcome in the restaurant. Desk clerk didn't seem hospitable. In short, wrong tent!

Perfect hotel with welness. Just removed from everything but to spend a moment of tranquility and appointment with nature is perfect.

We did not expect the latest from vd valk and that is correct. Room idd dated but I think is nominated for renovation. Only what was really disappointing was the dirty dust in the bathroom which was not cleaned even after reporting to the reception, so I did it myself . Food was fine, staff super friendly, lobby neat, large bicycle shed, lovely swimming pool (where the idd is very slippery ). Only buffet space not sufficient now for so many guests in Corona time. Unfortunately the least vd Valk hotel compared to all the others we visited, so a one-off for us.

Do not book an economy room because they are located at the smoking corner. And you do not sleep through the noise outside until midnight.

It is delicious, well-salted and the food is perfect. No negatives.
