Tasty and good food with the whole family. Also got 2 children and super nice surprises home.
Just a pity that there was no washing corner for the children.

Old part is due for renewal. Too much money for the room offered.

The second hotel of Van der Valk and again great impressions. Now from all the choices only in them. Very comfortable hotel for a reasonable budget. Comfortable rooms, very tasty restaurant, but the price tag is above average. There is a free package, WiFi.

The food and restaurant is awesome the rooms are tidy and big :)

Was here for an introductory meeting with a recruiter. Friendly service.

The entrance was very moderate. The construction is old and looks dated. The room was wonderfully small and the window consisted of a very old-fashioned sliding door with a block in the rail for locking. A lot of force had to be used to open the (relatively dirty) window. There was no bath in the room and no upgrade was possible. Well a note when we come next time we want a bath.
Breakfast was until 10am! Very annoying if you have made a long journey and want to sleep in!
Incidentally, the breakfast itself was the worst breakfast I have experienced in the hotels van der Valk in Corona time!
All in all, a hotel I will never go to again

The area was fantastic. It was very busy the restaurant was full so the service went slowly. The food tasted great. It was. neatly and tastefully served. Unfortunately the table that we reserved was a bit too small for 5 people and was therefore packed.

Great hotel in Friesland. Nice staff and rich breakfast buffet. We will come back next time!

3 days at van der Valk in Drachten. Hotel is good but the restaurant somewhat disappointing. We had a package deal and on the 1st day we enjoyed a great 3-course menu. The second evening we were in the restaurant I got slips that smelled very oddly and after a bite, I noticed that it was spoiled. The waiter apologizes for having smelled The fish and suggested taking something else off the menu. My appetite was gone. Apologies accepted, until the waiter came back from the chef with the announcement that the cook also thought the fish smelled dirty, but he had served several sludge tongues that day without any complaints. In other words "the fish smells dirty but you could still have eaten it". At that moment I felt anger coming up and seriously thinking about informing the food inspection department. The last morning at breakfast I came across a bowl of salmon that looked awful. My husband has since submitted a complaint and we will soon hear what will be done with the complaint.

Mostly love the breakfast in this place. They literally serve all you can wish for from pancakes to cereals and seeds and green juices. Building itself looks a bit aged but the rooms are in good shape with modern bathrooms. Staff are friendly and helpful. Will stay again.

Van der valk hotel is a very good hotel for a normal drink but also for bowling. I did not spend the night there, but what I have heard from friends is definitely recommended. All in all a good hotel with some nice things to do, definitely recommended

Delicious food nice staff good service and top location

I slept one night in a double room with a last minute deal, the room is just as nice and clean as in the photos and the French balcony offered a nice view, the balcony continues past all the rooms on your floor, which in itself is not much privacy even if it is nice for people who are in rooms next to each other.

The bathroom was beautiful, clean and large. separate shower and bath and the sink large and beautiful.
The bed is comfortable and the linen is clean, the rest of the room is nice and clean.
Breakfast is self service - they have a smoothie bar where you can pour cold juices and smoothies, various meat and cheese and vegetables for bread, different muesli types and chia seeds, etc. You can bake your egg on a baking tray, simply delicious!

The only downside is that you can hear the highway from some of the rooms.

Arrived late from Amsterdam with my brass band on a weekend trip to compete in the Dutch Open, having been delayed by an accident on the motorway. The hotel very kindly held back the buffet we had ordered for dinner by over an hour.

Once we got started on the food, it was beautiful. Very high quality, cooked to perfection - particularly the meatballs and the chicken satay - and there was a great selection. The desserts were to die for - again, a great selection and very tasty! The rum & raisin cake was especially nice. I would absolutely dine here again.

Privacy violation. Poor service. No passion in the kitchen. So uncontrolled. Fungi fruit for breakfast and the days later it is still offered. And with complaints they do nothing .. Yes sorry. Bah
