I work at a different plant owned by this company and it is definitely a great place to work
They lie to you from the very beginning and low pay, supervision is very inexperienced but if you desperately need a job you do what you have too.....
I worked for Lovelady for nearly 2 years, I cannot speak on the other plants. The head of management "LC" and the HR person "AH" are a terrible combo for any good associate. Problems arose throughout the plant after LC put someone in charge that treated everyone very badly, he even ended up with a restraining order against him within the building. I personally saw him get into a screaming match that was very nearly violent and heard of several other physical incidents in the parking lot with this individual. When he started screaming and harassing me throughout my shift; I tried to go speak to HR in the morning. Mind you I had my 4 yr old with me... Instead of being afforded the opportunity to divulge what occured to HR alone, LC came in there. Anytime I tried to explain what transpired she screamed at me to "shut my mouth" then continued to degrade me, threaten my job, and twist the situation to make it my fault. (I am NOT the only one she did this to.) HR did nothing, said nothing, simply nodded along with LC's antics. It went on for an hour in front of my child. By the time I left that day, I wanted to commit suicide! THAT is how badly I was treated over a situation that should have been addressed entirely different. I don't believe I would've made it home had my son not been with me. She broke a piece of me, I had noticeably changed for quite some time after. In fact, within a month I started having medical issues with my heart. I have never been one to let someone talk down to me with clear disdain and disrespect especially not in front of my children and I assure you it will NEVER be tolerated again!!!! As far as this plant goes, it is a TERRIBLE company to work for!!!! I do NOT recommend it to the lowest in life!!!! It simply is not worth the mental abuse they give nor the physical they expect from you in very high temperatures. We were brought back as "essential workers" only a couple weeks after they shut down because it's a fabric factory but what were we actually doing? Painting everything within the building.. Ruining my apparel for something out of my job description, how is fixing up their factory essential??? More than that, exposing the employees especially ones with pre-existing conditions such as myself and my son to this deadly virus. Chosing between our health and our ability to keep our bills paid. Their covid safety standards are a joke! They do not care for their employees, only what you can do to appease them. The majority of my time there I was a post inspector. They decided to put me in a lower paying position. Not one I signed up for nor was hired for. My last week there should've had 3 days on it, they only paid me for 1 day!!!! They will work you until they break your spirit. If you have a family, you won't get any time with them! Not to mention if you need to work out something with your schedule due to having kids, forget it! They do not care, anything you need is an inconvenience to them! There was one point they had everyone working months with no days off. This company is the worst I've ever experienced in my years in the workforce, the only ones to get a bad review from me though LONG OVERDUE!! I feel sorry for anyone working under that management. LC and AH NEED to be replaced before it has a chance of improving. I wish my previous coworkers the best and hope they escape that place. As for the others referenced above, I hope life gives you exactly what you deserve!
Awful place to work, I transferred to the Dye House after about 6 months and I was trained to do my partner's job for him so he could sit and play on his phone with my boss all day while I did all the work. I blew the whistle to HR about it and my co-workers went as far as going through my social media to try and get me fired(which didn't work) as retaliation. Following this I received my first write up ever for throwing a barrel. That's fine I'll accept that. The next day after that they terminate me saying "I didn't seem sorry about what I did." I couldn't get out of there fast enough. These people are crooked, they don't care about the worker's on the floor or the newer employees. The place is riddled with favoritism. Avoid at all costs.
Fast pace , job opportunities, employee owned. experience different plants were it's made.
Been in a few times to do some contract work. The employees are always a friendly happy bunch. There maintenance crewa are always helpfull and go the extra mile to help you.
