It is overall a good mountain; however, they tend to cater to the casual tourist. This could be a good or bad thing depending on who you are.
The mountain was beautiful and had great slopes. There's many trails with all kinds of levels so it doesn't get boring. Only problem that kind of ruined our trip was that we paid for 3 days worth of lift tickets and couldn't stay for the third. When we tried to get a refund on the third day for the third day they refused to refund the full $130 and only gave us $40 back. If we never even used the lift for the third day why do we only get back a fourth of what we paid? We're already paying the ridiculously high prices so I feel like we got totally ripped off. Make sure you know which days you want to ski for because they'll ride you for a much money as they can get.
Have you seen the Troll yet? So cute and he is just hanging around waiting for you to visit. Very creative and 15 feet tall!
A little rocky right now but usually a good place to ski
Huge mountain that takes days to explore. Parking in town and gondola up to peak 7 or 8. Above tree line terrain that will close if windy. Peak 7 for groomers, peak 10 for steeps and trees.
We went to the ski school and our awesome instructor Pete was super nice and he got us up on our skis and had us somehow figuring it out, would definitely recommend him & school at Beaver Run
Never stayed here but Google surveys will pay me some pocket change to write something. I've snowboarded at Breck a lot and it's a decent mountain. Sorry if you happen to read this.
Had a great time at Breck 10/18/18 the conditions were fantastic! And the lift lines were manageable for this time of the year!
You pay a pretty price for the luxury but it's all worth it. There are many mountains to experiencing hiking, skiing, sledding/tubing or whatever falls into your nature. There are many booking options for stays. A super cute village of shops to experience. I guess that's why we keep coming back:) A Trip well worth it!
Good place for skiing and the best ski town I ve ever been to, but can get crowded on weekends. I like that there are many dining options at the base and on the mountain. Peak 9 for beginners, peak 6/7/8 for intermediate and 6/8/10 for advanced. Enjoy!
A lot to do and see here. We took the kids to the summer activities which is a ticketed and somewhat expensive event. One gripe is despite the price, all rides are not included or you are limited in how many times you can ride them. A great view at the top of the mountain ranges. Don't forget your sun screen, regrettably we did.
Private one day lesson with Chris was great. Son was confidently cruising around Blues the second day and had a go at Blacks on his third day ever on skis.
Decent selection of food for all ages.
Excellent! Great skiing, very pleasant and helpful staff
In Breck for a conference, so I booked the conference hotel. I am usually disappointed since the conference people pick cheap conference rooms and subsequently cheap hotels. Then again, I like the convenience of walking from my room to the conference. However, this hotel was nice. It was clean, had good energy and the staff was friendly. A little bit away from the downtown action, but nice.
Everything's great except the Starbucks on peak 8 :0)
If you have never been to a ski resort in the summer you're missing something.
Beautiful and family friendly. Lots of free museums and a free gondola ride to the top of the mountain.
Good place just to walk around and ride the free gondola. Very cold.
They have tons of terrain for all ability levels. It's pretty pricey with parking, lift ticket, etc but that's how skiing is these days. The terrain off Imperial and Falcon chairs is pretty rad.
Please provide Wi-Fi access at locations on the mountain.
Whoever hired the patrolled that suspended my friends pass for 30 days for the same offense I got a warning for should be fired... absolutely disgusted with the way the patrolled treated him. and the worst part is, he didn't take his pass for jumping. Once he started to question the patroler he took his pass away for that. I'm pretty sure we have free speech in this country. I will not respect. A company that discriminates and does not give equal punishment. I did the same exact thing as him and got a warning. This is the most unprofessional, irrational, illogical thing I've ever heard of and now I won't be coming back here. Never been so disappointed in my life.
First off, this place has the cheapeast weed out of anywhere in Colorado, you have to take the FREE bus to airport rd.
This town has the friendliest locals and staff, it is so refreshing to be in a ski town where everyone is just so friendly. I've skied steamboat, wolf creek, telluride, the canyons (utah), taos NM, gore and whiteface (NY) and mostly all of tahoe. This town is my favorite by far.
The food on main street is amazing. The touristy shops have a lot of really cool stuff.
If I can afford when I'm older I am definitely buying a place in the area, maybe frisco.
I wiped out going 53mph on a black diamond and broke my collarbone very badly. the health place accepted my insurance (united health care) so all I payed for was the 20 5mg hydrocodone they gave me. They even gave me a lidocaine shot in my shoulder which was AMAZING. I came back the next day because the norco wasn't very effective, so they gave me a 30 5mg percocet prescription for free.
I also made several friends with the health services while there. I've made several friends on chairlifts and the gondola and got their information.
All around amazing town.
A ton of accessible terrain, lots of lifts. Lift tickets are a bit steep, but so are the double blacks. Really great riding especially if you don't mind taking the t-bar. Great views from the peaks was a nice perk as well.
Excellent ski resort, friendly staff from all over the world and home of the tallest ski slope in the country.
Went in the summer, suggest taking the super lift up to the top and hiking once you get up there.
Fabulous skiing, but the resort is badly let down by the dining options up the hill. Sure, you expect RIP-off prices in a ski resort, but small portion sizes are inexcusable and the unimaginative, limited choice is disappointing. After a two week stay, an endless procession of junk food and the same old soups isn't exactly what you want. Could do much better.
Breckenridge is the resort I grew up skiing on every week. Amazing terrain, amazing mountain, amazing town. Highly recommend
Lots of activities for every age group It's the second time we've come as a family and have had lots of fun! The gondola to get to the resort is free, but all the food and activities here are quite pricy.
Great town, fun mountain in the winter and summer. Always a lot going on in Breck! It can get a bit crowded in the winter with long lift lines, but is totally worth it!
This is probably my favorite of the Vail resorts. The mountain is big and there's a lot of diverse routes and trails. The town of Breck is amazing and wonderful to eat and drink in.
Awesome mountain had a great time great runs . The town is great too definitely stay at breckenridge .
Awesome quaint resort town with friendly laid back people, excellent restaurants and incredible slopes.
Ski patrol is ridiculous taking peoples passes when they can't even spend the time to make sure the trails are fully closed off.
The only man helpful at Vail Resorts would be Lee in the ski patrol office! He is awesome and actually listened to the problem and came up with a reasonable response.
So many acres of wonderful trails, and the fastest lifts everywhere. Great lift operators, friendly people everywhere. And the best snow. It is like Camelot.
Underwhelming Coaster ride for the $28 per ride! What a rip off!
Gondola was free but everything else was very expensive. Discounts if you have an Epic pass.
A ski town that actually feels like a town is what youll find here. The view of the mountain itself from a cozy wood laden patio while having a dark beer is second to none. Sadly the town has let the police department run rampant to the point of militarization!! You will not go a day without seeing a Breckenridge beef cake SUV having someone pulled over, or a cop up on the side of the road scanning everyone driving into town. They basically drive the streets all day long wasting who knows how much gas. I have been pulled over for doing 5 miles over the speed limit. The cop asked me where I worked.?. Non of your business.. I want to remind the Town of Breckenridge that the police work for the Citizens! The Citizens do not work for the Police! Also this Mountain does not belong to Vail or all the second homeowners or the Mayor or the City Council. Its National Forrest and belongs to KNOWONE. There does not need to be an omnipresent police patrol, we are trying to relax here. If your cops have nothing to do but harrass passenger cars then you have too many cops...
A Top Notch destination! Challenging runs, and easy as well, a great mix for all levels with a ton of things to do off the slopes as well! From night life to amazing dining, spas etc. You name it they exceed your needs!
Great to have the gondola open for non-skiers who want to meet family and friends for lunch or a drink.
Love Breckenridge. Public transportation is great for getting around
Best place for a Sunday stroll through the woods on wooden planks
No matter what you ski or ride, Breck has terrain for you. Pack your own lunch, pricey. Park in the airport satellite lot for free. Weekdays are less crowded
Positives: Lots of terrain, fun town
Negatives: Very high prices, crazy long lines even on weekdays, not the best customer service.
Well maintained and organized ski area.
But please remember to bring your wallet. This is a very expensive experience.
Food, beverage, rentals and obviously lift tickets.
Again, it is well maintained and organized. But very expensive.
The highest ski resort in the western world, 3914m. Very careful tracks, lifts more than reasonable (for American standard).
Had a great time horseback riding with the fam at Breckenridge Stables
Love this place. People super friendly, so much to do outside!
Very Nice resort but I had an accident in my room. Staff be did not seem to care if they had a hazard. They felt that since no one else had reported an accident it was not a problem.
Great place... have to say the food is ludicrously overpriced....
Allows skibikes. Fairly large ski resort. Can be very crowded on the weekends. Stick to the black runs and you'll miss the crowds.
We absolutely love it her beautiful views, free gondola and trolley rides. Went to see isak Heartstone, he's amazing
Never knew they were pet friendly areas. wonderful place to take your pet to meet many new people
Awesome
Fabulous leisure complex
A great place to ski for all levels! As someone who hasn't been on skis in 20 years spending the day with a new skier and advanced skiers, Breckenridge was the perfect place for us all to have what we needed.
Breckenridge is my go to snowboarding spot. The best days to go are during blackout dates so an Epic Pass is a must. The lessons are helpful and taught by talented friendly people. I always have a great time!
