UTMB- Travis State Jail Review

This is a part of UTMB medical center where they treat prison inmates.

My son was admitted to Galveston Hospital around the beginning of July, 2020. We still have not spoken with the doctor. The nurse only reads a summary. I can only imagine how he may be suffering with Corvid-19 and a UC flare. I don't know if him suffering is intentional. We don't know a lot of things, which makes every waking moment so scary. I've learned through the years, when something seems not right , usually something is not right.

The staff was very understanding and patience, they answered my question,,but at the end rushing me to remove my child remain.

The guards behind the glass play around. You can be the only person there.
They treat you like your wasting there time. Three or more guards make you wait. And they pass you back and forth. Like your at the wrong window. But it's all the same window's just port holes.

I m not entirely sure what I ll expect when I arrive to take care of my fathers end of care directives but I ve been calling for over a month to get some headway and they give you the run around with an attitude as though they have better things to do! It s appalling! Then they state, they ve been trying to contact me for a few days after I was told my father was NOT in CRITICAL condition. Now they are stating after just a few weeks that my father is now in critical condition and my family and I needed to come and be with him. I will say that I did come across a few very helpful personnel, and as someone who also works in the Law Enforcement spectrum, I understand the influx and frustration but I also make sure I can give my time and attention to those who are concerned for their family member, ESPECIALLY, if there s been a trauma or end of life.

My sister is in the TDC part of this Hospital i call to see how she is I have to leave a massage and set and wait until they actually decide to call me the lady's are so rude when I'm so worried about my sister I have been calling for 4 days now she had heart surgery and they won't tell me how she is doing
