Dynamic company with Integrity, employee welfare, and safety at its core. The only thing missing, is old glory draped over an eagle while she bellows out her glorious battle cry as the smiles and good mornings flow through the office. Pair this, with the aroma of coffee and the view of UPA vehicles departing. Vehicles filled with hard working and dedicated employees ready to make a difference. Negativity and complaining is the cancer of those who lack the discipline of hard work and dedication. UPA is a company that acknowledges the effort and takes care of their employees.

This company is terrible let me tell you why? They adress safety every day but at the same time they make you work with hot wires in the rain. They deduct half hour lunch they don"t enforce it.You have to work in all types of weather. They do not pay enough for all the hard labor. You must wake up extra early work begins at 6:15 AM

Well I only have a 3 bc the first two techs they sent out were horrible! However, when I called again, they were prompt to send out Richard who is AWESOME! He fixed all the screw ups from the guy before he also made sure that the two dingle berries I had before were reprimanded for the horrible job they did the day before. Richard quickly repaired everything w professionalism and care. So I give Richard 5 stars but because the company hired the other two, I have to lower their rating even though they were swift in making the repairs, it shouldn't have happened in the first place. This company was contracted by Duke energy for the meter replacements. And thanks to the first 2 techs carelessness a one 4 hour job has taken two days. Props to Richard though! I felt bad for him lol!

This company is hired by Dominion Energy in the Columbia area to do Smart Meter upgrades. The representative/tech who showed up at my home, Cody, was very professional putting a good public face on Dominion. Specifically, I was provided a courtesy notice before cutting my power to swap the meter, and this group had no problem doing another house first when I communicated I needed only a few more minutes for a laundry wash cycle to complete its spin-cycle. Then the entire installation then took only a couple of minutes. Thank you for being customer focused.

I have been only working with this company for a week now. All of the trainers I have met seem to be nice and very much knowledgeable of the work we are doing. I am excited about the things to come with this new job.

Solid & stable company with good core values. I have worked here for 3 years and don't plan on going anywhere. Upper management has an open door policy and genuinely cares about their employees... Great company to work for!

Bunk of jerks. They don't notify you before they kill your power. Should sue them for loss of data due to their unannounced shutoff of power.

We experienced a problem with our refrigerator after meter installation. Codie quickly came to check on the problem. He was very hands on and insured that our issue was resolved. Codie s customer service skills are excellent.

Awesome culture! Great place to work if you enjoy talking on the phone sharing valuable info to homeowners & renters. UPA provides excellent training to prepare you for live time on the phones. Management are hands on and available if you have questions. If you have a positive mindset UPA gives you all the tools to become successful. I love the fact that it hires diverse people which is great for community. If you enjoy customer service, sales, talking on the phone UPA is the place.

My experience with this company has been career changing. While working with UPA I obtained a Supervisor position,
and have overcame multiple obstacles in my career and personal life. There is room for growth with this company as well as travel opportunities. While at UPA I've had a great work life balance as well.

Great company to work for. They have improved quite a lot in the nearly three years I have been with them. There is room for advancement if you put in the hours and work hard.

My advice to anyone is simply do your job, do it well, and you will be very happy. The only downside of working for a utility contractor is it's all based on projects. You pretty much have to be willing to travel or located near headquarters for any long term garrunteed position. Thankfully I like traveling so it has worked great for me.

Yes the work can sometimes be hard, but so can pretty much any other job. On every project I have been on the compensation has been very fair for the work required. I have worked at several other competitors and have chosen UPA to be my "home".

All in all I am very happy with UPA.

After taking a 4 year break, I am back at UPA. And more than glad and grateful for the opportunity. UPA has and continues to grow in leaps and bounds. They have always been amazing to me and my family.

They don t value employees or human capital AT ALL. Definitely has the potential to be a great company just needs to focus on WHO makes the company successful and take care of their people. I feel for all the Americans they lay off and don t pay anything and load the few people with more work than humanly possible that are still working. They need to do better!

I came to UPA after extended time in other fields. I was initially looking for experience in a new field to alter my career path (which, for anyone who might be looking to do just that, this is the place for you!) yet after acclimating I found that UPA checked all the boxes I was looking for. UPA provides a unique and challenging environment that will develop you personally and professionally. If you are truly self-motivated with a real work ethic you will be right at home.

Phone operators no more than service providers that's done heat and air for 30 years terrible company to deal with. Buyers beware service companies beware

They offer great incentives for employees every company has a flaw but there's room for improvement

We were notified this week Duke Energy would be replacing our exterior panel box using UPA as the contractor. We set an appointment for 8am and the 2 young men were right on time. They were very professional, hard working, and cleaned up after they finished. I was home while they were here and enjoyed having them here making our home better and safer. They needed some extra wire and a hand from a boss with some rope but otherwise everything went smooth. After they had finished one of the foreman came by and inspected it and helped them wrap it up. They were good people and we really appreciate Duke taking good care of us using such good people. Cory was the foreman but I never did get the names of the other 2 young men. I would mention them here had I gotten them. I was very impressed as these 2 young men were only 20 and you don't often see such professionalism in young people anymore. Thanks UPA!

These Guys was very professional, on time, check out all appliance before starting and after completing the job, check all my appliance
again to make sure everything was working and the end clean up all there mess. Also these 2 Guys, gave me all the respect. I am a Senior Citizen and I was very impress with them.
