I like this place. Food is always great and prices are affordable, stuff is friendly. The only issue is - if you want to go there on Saturday night you have to reserve a table.

The food is not tasty at all. Very disapointed. Salad was not fresh, soups too.

This place is NUTS!! Go with a group and get two of everything!! Kabobs to die for, delicate pierogi, hot bread from the grill, and a Moscow fish that probably has more calories than anything you've ever eaten. Bring a bottle of good vodka. If you're lucky, you will get an attractive blonde waitress who speaks English well. If you are NOT lucky, you will get an attractive blonde waitress who doesn't have a CLUE what you are saying and exudes all the warmth of a Soviet-era bureaucrat. Just roll with it. Stupid cheap for real "babushka" eats.

Decent place with nice interior. Good service, but it felt like the food needed more work.

My son and I celebrated his birthday yesterday, September 15th , 2020. Both lamb chops and lamb kebob were delicious! We also liked good service. The food is a little bit overpriced but very good. I do recommend this place to all of you. Thank you, Uzbekistan!

Going to Uzbekistan Restaurant was an amazingly delicious experience. The whole place was cozy and I enjoyed the outside patio even more than the inside dining area. I didn't even feel like I was in Philadelphia anymore! The food was marvelous and their Russian style fruit punch really made my meal even more astravigant than it already was! The only let down, however, was the chicken. I expected the chicken to be on point since they even mastered their liver (and liver is pretty difficult to perfect) but I was incorrect. It was mostly sticky, yellow fat and most of the chicken was raw. Point made; don't get the chicken. Their salmon kebabs are the bomb and so are their shrimp kebabs. You must try those. The place is pretty great overall, but I must warn you, their portions are extremely small. And it is pretty pricey too, so if you're not up for the bill, don't come to this place. But anyways, it was a great lunch and I am most positive I am going there for a second visit sometime soon. I hope you give it a try!

I have not had a bad experience with Uzbekistan's food. They're pretty busy all the time too, which isn't a bad thing: It's just an observation. I don't know how they make their shishkabob sauce, but I would buy that stuff by the gallon because it is so good!

The food was excellent. I definitely recommend the soups and the kebobs! The skirt steak was delicious. A wonderful time and I definitely recommend this restaurant and Uzbekistan Restaurant.

This restuarant has the best tasting food. The kebabs are cooked to perfection and are never over seasoned. The bread comes out warm and delicious. The salads are fresh and juicy. I have tried every soup on the menu and they are all amazing. Haven't had a bad meal there yet. The atmosphere is inside is rustic and cozy, it feels like home. The garden courtyard is very beautiful and has amazing sunsets accompanied by some lively music

The food was great and the waitress that took care of us was phenomenal.

Everything we had was great, but don t miss the bread, it s amazing!

This was my favorite place in the area, but now they are using single use plastic utensils, cups, straws and paper plates. Feels like I was eating at a cheap gas station and not an actual restaurant. There is no excuse to use single use plastics at all. Plates and cups can be safely sanitized with steam in a normal dish washer. Stop dumping so much waste

Always the best service and excellent food. Uzbekistan is one of my favorites places among restaurants. It gets really crowded on Friday night and Saturday night but it worth your time. This restaurant does not have any entertainment but it is really comfortable place for a party or a family event.

The lights kept going out while we were eating, they charged extra for that glass of water that most restaurants provide free of charge.. and the food definitely isn t the best.

To date still one of my favorite places to eat in the Philadelphia area. Food and atmosphere are authentic and high quality. Pirogies (Vareneki) are delicious and of course, the beef stroganoff is among the best I've had. Affordable prices. BYOB. Some of the waitresses do not speak fully fluent english and sometimes you have to ask to be seated, but none of that, in my opinion, takes away from the divine experience that is Uzbekistan. Cant wait to go again.

This place is better than any other restaurant I ve been to in Philadelphia. There really isn t a single dish that we didn t love.

Russian food which is very good. Its a BYOV (bring your own vodka ). Very ethnic, most diners speaking Russian, but the staff all speak English too. Nice place!

Great food and great service! They have a beautiful enclosed patio for outdoor seating. Delicious shish-kebobs, soups, and salads. Wish we could have tried more menu items. We will definitely be back for more!

Liars!!!!!! Ordered for pick up 4 shish kebabs, 2 beef stroganoff and lavash. Haha. Got everything except 3 shish kebab for $40. Called, asked to speak with a manager, guess what))) he is not at the restaurant, yep, right. they said - we didn't order that and the prices have changed . Yep, but look online the prices are still the same, so , don't trust them, check your bill and order if you gonna go there!!!!

I did not have a single bite of mediocre food. Everything was delicious, well prepared and well seasoned. Don't expect to bolt a quick meal, but we did not wait forever either. BYOB.

The food was bland, no taste, and the service was extremely slow. The waiter was not knowledgeable of the dishes and of what to recommend. There was no hospitality from the waiters.

Food is great. Restaurant has a very authentic Russian look and feel. Some of the waitresses don't speak much English though.

I am a native Uzbek, we stopped on the way to this institution, waited 15 minutes and left, they did not come to us. Accidentally went to them in the kitchen, not one Uzbek, the kitchen was dirty, I almost puked.

Food was good when the right food was brought out. There was some issues with language barrier and having to send things back due to allergies my father had.

The food was astonishingly good for the given price. The atmosphere was extremely homey and comfortable. We tried 4 entrees and an appetizer, everything was phenomenal (especially the leg of lamb, oh my God it was divine) would 100% recommend to anyone. Quality, comfort food done perfectly.

Been to this place many times but no more. Sunday night crowd. Young inexperienced servers the perfect menu for a terrible dinner.
Sat outside and staff prepped a table and chairs for a large party by dragging the needed chairs and turning tables on the floor. So noisy we couldn t talk. Then we ordered. Two salads came in a reasonable time.
No appetizers then one entree
Forty five minutes and no more food.
Then one more entree...I sent it back and told the young man take it back and bring all three entrees together. He tried to argue but then went back. Twenty minutes later I put $25 on the table and we left. As we were walking out the waiter appeared with the other three entrees, don t know about the apps.
He chased us to our car and told us the money we left didn t cover the bill I said we never got our food.
Other customers were seated, served and left while we waited.
I had asked to see the manager long before we left...no one came.
We were threatened with a call to the police.
Mean, lousy no no service and threats.
Again, the perfect menu for a lousy meal.

This was a great experience we went with friends on Valentine s Day and were very happy with our choices . As you can see from the pic the food was plentiful and delicious too. Highly recommend this quaint atmospheric restaurant

you have to be nice to the serving staff and ask for specials to be fed better than anywhere in ne. this is the only place where you get served super fresh kebabs that melt in your mouth, generous baked branzino and for desert Cheese Vareniki in black currant sauce. yum
this is a very busy restaurant, very popular, gets full and stays busy, moderate pricing. the only downside is the carpet in the main dining room. hideous, enough to kill your appetite. dont look

I m from New York but visited philly for a business trip . Heard a lot about this place from fellow peers and decided to give it a try. Definitely enjoyed my dinner here thanks to the amazing food and my great waiter Michael . He is a great server and made me feel at home . 5 stars thank you guys !!

Used to be a decent place, but they ve changed for the worse. Ordering on the phone is overly complicated because apparently no one there is from this century and writes everything down on a piece of paper instead of tallying it up on the computer. Prices have skyrocketed as of recently too, it s just not even worth bothering with. Just go to Samarkand instead.

Authentic Russian/Polish/Uzbek/Ukraine dishes are served here. It just doesn't get any better than Uzbekistan! Always fresh, well-prepared and absolutely delicious! Prices are reasonable; and one can enjoy a generous middle-European feast for modest cash.

Before visiting Uzbekistan, understand that someone in the kitchen is busy preparing something wonderful for your dining experience. Therefore, bring along your patience, since this is not a fast food joint. Service has always been friendly and efficient. Dress up or come casual - both styles will fit in here.

Stuffed cabbage, carrot salad, ethnic breads, honey cake, kabobs, lamb dishes, cherry punch, perogies and a large variety of ethnic goodies are on their menu. Parking is in the back, ample and free. Dine inside or outside. Catering, take-out and delivery services are available through this establishment.
