First assignment right after all my training. January 2015-2017. Best 2 years of my life!

My father was stationed at this base for three years and my entire family joined him. The base is family friendly, inviting, friendly, and you'll never find one like it. I loved it there. I had so many great memories.

Loved it there. Was there from 84-87. Does anyone remember the name of the suit tailor shop that was in front of BX? Great suits would love to have them make more for me.

I used to think Alconbury was closed because there is a streetname with Alconbury but this RAF base is very much open. The Fighter Jet is the Gate Guardian which would normally be found inside the grounds but has been placed outside to benefit the general public; this plane is next to the church on the hill (the reason for the picture of the church).

I was stationed there as a Weapons Specialist from 1962 - 65 when they had the Douglas RB-66B s. In 1968 I went back to England as a civilian to marry my girlfriend (we are still married).

Their pet policy is horrible. They expect you to crate your animals during the day and will enter your acommodation even if you tell them not to.

I was stationed there from 71 to 74 great base a made lots of friends wish we could have a reunion,and I remember you Geoffrey from the ATL so am I

Was a clerk with the 10sps. ,69-,72. Pass and ID and LE desk at the back gate. Remem membership nites at the airmems and nco clubs. Slot machines and the girls and more girls. Good times good alies

Shady base . Picked up about 200 morgue tables a few years from USAF . Nice nuclear bunker tho

Was stationed there 68-70 in one of the recon squadrons, it was my favorite base of my A.F. career.

I was stationed there in the early 80's a small base but a good one. The best base that I was ever stationed at. I lived in a small town called st. Ives. Made a lot of good friends.

Love this old base that I called home from 1979-1983. A lot of great memories with English friends. Miss you all....

In the middle of nowhere but I don't regret the time there.

Went to all the air shows and got to stand near the main runway to watch F1-11's take off. Early eighties. Went to Lakenheath for all the shopping.

Was stationed there in the 80s .. met great people there and in the surrounding area, have fond memories of my time in UK

I enjoy seeing the base that I was stationed at but many changes have taken place and non of has been capture. Perhaps a new map would be appropriate. Thanks

It was home from 1969 until 1973. I learned a lot and met good friends. And had tons of fun.
